Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to season 1, episode 3 of Chainsaw Man!  OMG!!!  Meowy!!!
You guys, this was a big one for so many reasons - first off, MEOWY!!!  Second, we really get to see that even the bloodthirstiest devil can have a soft spot in their heart for another creature.  Third, I think Denji's learning how to navigate both human relationships and devil ones.  And finally, how can you so no to something as crazy creepy as a bat devil?!  Cmon!!  Great ep!  Can't wait for more!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

We didn’t think you had enough madness already with the weird stuff in Jojo, so we decided to pile this on top of it. I should point out that Makima (the boss lady - trust me, get ahold of her name), said that Public Safety, their organization, is only prohibited from interfering if the devil is under civilian jurisdiction. As for what that means, it could be any number of things - but it reemphasizes the point that devils are a common occurrence in everyday life. I would liken Denji and Power to a couple of delinquent kids who are only able to focus on what’s directly in front of them. They aren’t too deep thinkers - hence Power’s inability to comprehend Denji’s feelings about Pochita. Denji is, as I said previously, just feeling everything he hasn’t had the luxury of before - and that includes hormones. You could also say his current infatuation stems from a desire for acceptance as well. Yes, it’s a little bit twisted, but you know a girl who’s gonna let just any dude do that? Of course, we are talking about devils here so there’s going to be some subterfuge - I mean, they’re devils. Kamen Rider Revice wasn’t shy about the nature of demons - why should this be different? I’m pretty sure the Bat Devil just made a list of everything that bugs you and then regurgitated its plans on screen. But you know he might’ve bit off a little more than he could chew. Denji seemed pretty mad that the Bat Devil thought he’d care about some dude -I mean, it’s another trope - save the random dude or the cute girl? Hence the hormones and the seeing what’s right in front of you situation. I wonder what the Pizza Devil would be like… 🤔

Hahahaha I mean at this rate, I'm just gonna be totally desensitized to all this stuff :P Sorry, I'll try with the name!!! Ohhhh that's interesting about the distinction of "civilian jurisdiction", hmm....! That's a good way to sum up Denji and Power I think. I totally get how Denji is just now sort of learning/experiencing everything for the first time! True, devils are gonna be devils I suppose! Hahahaha I think you're right about the Bat Devil, what the heck! Yup, we're seeing those hormones in action with Denji! OMG I don't know if I'd love or hate the Pizza Devil???? Like one the one hand it's pizza....on the other hand, would it turn me off to pizza by making it all gross????? Idk...!!

Power intended to eat Meowy but wanted him to be healthy and worth the effort....she never counted on getting attached to Meowy....but she did. Power doesn't think very deeply but she does have feelings. I was disappointed in Power for betraying Denji but it tracks with her character; good fighter but not to be trusted.

Ohhhh did she? Okay! But yeah, she got attached instead. It does track, honestly it's more realistic that she'd do that, even if it was disappointing. And like you said, she doesn't seem super aware of her feelings even if she has them.
