Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo Part 5, episode 3!!  Whoa, we're really ramping things up with this whole let's be gang stars thing!!!  Giorno is on his first job interview and even gets some homework to go with it....but DANG you guys, I did not have it on my bingo card that this would somehow involve the arrows!  Like what the heck, that opens up a lot of questions!!!  Also, this one was sooo tense and suspenseful, like the flour sack baby assignment from heck lol!!!  Poor Koichi really just had to be in the wrong place at the wrong time lol.  Cannot wait for more!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Sorry it's later than usual, I overslept and my PC kept freezing up D: Also wanted to say sorry for just totally blanking on Polpo really not having any sort of phasing ability whatsoever, for some reason my brain just couldn't wrap around the idea that he *was* the bed until I watched it back while syncing the files lol. My brain does what it wants I guess!!!

Hey Melissa, it's not a big deal that you overslept. Today is Monday and you probably had a very busy day yesterday. because of that you can sometimes give your body a well-deserved break. I hope your fair was successful. I also feel better again. My pain has completely disappeared in the last few days. On the weekend I had a short trip on a small yacht to see whales and dolphins. We were very lucky and were able to see pilot whales and orcas very closely. Since I wanted to become a marine biologist like Jotaro in my teenage years, a small dream of mine was fulfilled . I also think Jotaro would have felt very comfortable on our boat. Before I go into the episode I wanted to tell you that today is the 160th birthday of our beloved R.E.O Speedwagon. Happy birthday to the best supporter of the Joestar family. 🥳🥳❤️ I completely forgot about the Op and Ed last week. Fighting Gold is really a very good op and has an amazing animation with lots of little hidden spoilers that only become visible over time. The song by Coda also fits very well with the events in the first half of Part 5. the last scene of the op I have as Jojo merch on a hoodie. (where Giorno is seen with the golden background) . Fighting Gold is a good op but doesn't trump the second op of Golden Wind, which is my favorite of all of Jojo. I don't have to say much about the ed except that it's totally funny and actually fits Golden Wind quite well (you'll find out the reason yourself). Now for the episode. We only saw Bruno briefly, but we learned something new about his character. He likes children very much and is generally a friendly and loving person. You'll see more of that later and also learn his reasons for wanting to fight against his own organization. By the way, the open square where Giorno fought Bruno and the prison where Polpo is staying are all real places in Naples. I really want to travel to Naples after my studies and visit all the locations myself. We also learned a lot from Giorno again in this ep. As you said in your reaction, he is a very nice boy who likes to help people and is very caring. This explains the reaction of the people when Giorno did not want to help them, because he had to keep an eye on the lighter. Also, in this ep we learned more about Passione and its members. Polpo is really a very strange character. He looks more like an alien than Mikitaka. Also his very deep voice does not sound like from this world. The reason why Polpo bit off his fingers is a small reference to the guitarist of Blach Sabbath. He lost some fingers in an accident. Again a very well hidden allusion by Araki that only real fans of the band can understand. By the way, almost all the names in this part are allusions to Italian food (except for gio and a few others) Polpo literally means octopus and Bruno's last name Buccaratti or Buccellati is a reference to a Christmas candy from Sicily. The others that will follow I will also explain. P.S I really like your little Jojo shrine. He has become very beautiful with the star light chain. I also really like your new Joseph figure. Of course jojo Plushies may not be missing. I have to get me sometime also a pair of Plushies. By the way my Giorno and Bruno figures arrived today with me. when I'm back home next week I can give some insight into my Jojo merch.

Me: Opens the app, looks at runtime Me: “Oops, she did it again.” 😆 I think we should probably start thinking of clever ways to respond on screen when you say “I will try to keep this brief…” like maybe a DIO emoji of him yelling Useless! Or something related. Whaddaya think? Before I get too far, I told you Bruno’s VA was Mumen Rider but for some reason it blanked me to say he is also Gojo. Palpo is an interesting character - he’s choosing to stay in prison because it’s safer… I thought it was going to be because he was living in luxury or something. Also I have a feeling a lot of girls are jealous of that prison guard doing the body check… The lighter is just the latest “tool” for Araki to use for suspense. Under normal circumstances you wouldn’t think anything of a flame, but here we are trying to avoid “forces of nature.” Also it’s kinda clever turning a character we know into the obstacle. I’m not certain it’s the same arrow, or not - haven’t seen next episode yet - but they did say the Stand pulled out the janitor’s soul and killed it with an arrow. Wouldn’t he get a stand if it was the same? Regarding the trust issue, Palpo’s not wrong. It seems the Syand activated when the janitor relit it so it wasn’t so much the flame going out as the fact that it appeared he tried to deceive Palpo by trying again without asking? I’ll move onto the next one. PS: Totally unrelated to this show, but the whole organization talk reminded me to suggest that you think about watching Bungo Stray Dogs at some point. You’re busy now, just file it under the “other ideas” category. This Jojo slot’s gonna be taken for a while still. :)

Hahahaha call me Britney because oops, I did it again :P LOL feel free to yell Muda as much as you want at the screen :P Ohhhhhhh I feel like someone mentioned that Bruno's VA was also Gojo's!!! That's so awesome, another reason to like him! Yeah he wasn't exactly living in luxury but Polpo probably is safer / better off in prison. Hahahaha they probably are, I'm sure there's lots of teens who adore Giorno like he's a pop star haha. So true, the lighter is a big plot device to drive up all that suspense, and boy does it work. OMG I know, it's not like Koichi hasn't been an obstacle before though lol, poor Koichi! I'm not sure if the janitor would get a Stand, I think it depends on if he had the "mental strength" or whatever for it. If he didn't it would just kill him, which it did :( That's the thing, the test was all about trust, and technically speaking, that trust was "broken", so the Stand activated. Ohhh I've heard so much about Bungo Stray Dogs!!!! Thanks for the suggestion :D

Hey Bellana! Awww thank you for being so understanding!!! I was pretty tired after the craft fair on Sunday but it went well! I'm so glad you're feeling better! I'm so sorry you had to go through that, especially on vacation!!! How awesome that you got to see whales and dolphins, Jotaro would be pleased for sure lol! Ooooh the openings are always so full of spoilers, they feel so obvious once you know what they are too! It's an awesome song - I've been listening to it every day! Whoa, that hoodie sounds amazing!!! Omg I thought this was the opening you were talking about when you said Part 5 had the best one - there's one that's EVEN BETTER?!?!? Wow!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait to hear it!!!! :D OMG the ending is too much haha, I can't wait to see why it fits :P I know, they really told a lot about Giorno in that brief scene where he has to turn down helping people - he must be a very good boy! No kidding that those are all real places in Naples, wow!!!! You should totally travel there and check them all out, that sounds amazing!!!!! Bruno seems like he has a great heart and I can't wait to get to know him better! OHHHH no kidding that Bruno's name is a reference to buccellati!!!! I know exactly what that is because my family is Sicilian an Sicilian food is huge in my hometown (and also where I currently live). Buccellati is everywhere at Christmastime!!! I agree, if you made me choose between Polpo and Mikitaka for who's an alien, I'd choose Polpo! He has an otherworldly voice too. Ohhhhh no kidding about the reference to Black Sabbath with the fingers!!! I love Black Sabbath but I didn't know that! Gotta love the little Easter eggs!!! Awww thank you about my shrine! I'm hoping to fill it up with manga and more figures, and of course plushies! So happy you like Joseph too, isn't he gorgeous! I hope you can get your plushies soon!!! Ooohh how are your figures??
