Hey everyone!  I'm back with Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, episode 10!  Whoa, everyone's scrambling to figure out what to do now that Gojo's been sealed, and with good reason!  It sounds like this whole situation is basically going to wreck the world as we know it if we don't do something.  Meanwhile, a little slice of Mechamaru is still with us (!!!) and helping us, some of "Geto's" gang is making the hunt for Yuji into a sport, and Ijichi....?!?!!?  OMG!!!  (I couldn't think of his name during the ep, sorry!)  Wow, things are about to get even more intense!  Can't wait for more!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

MechaMaru is indeed dead. He left what is basically a voicemail for Yuji that would play upon Gojo getting sealed.

There are so many different characters and moving parts in this arc so far that I’m wondering how the author managed to keep everything straight. I’m not a manga reader but I wonder how hard this particular sequence was to adapt, it can’t have been easy - and we’ve just started scratching the surface. Mechamaru was killed ten days before Halloween during that fight - what appears to have happened is he understood the danger and possibility of Gojo being sealed and set a condition to activate these “copies” of his personality if that were to happen. He also mentions they are temporary, and must be utilized while they can function. Even sealed, Gojo’s still causing issues for the curses - but this sudden desire by Choso and Mahito to go kill Yuji as part of a game - why do I think this isn’t going to go how they think? Or we do? Sukuna is still a real wild card, too - and I was reminded of that pact he made with Yuji as well. Look, half the people in this episode have either died once or are currently dead somehow, I’m doing this on the fly, my logic center is hurting! 😂 “The number you have called cannot be completed as dialed. Please hang up and have Yuji yell like an idiot instead.” But they did mention the density of the trapped citizens in Shibuya wasn’t substantial, so he was playing with better odds Nanami would gear than normal. Also, probably should do something about that curse killing assistant supervisors… Curses being able to have free reign? The chaos has already reached peak intensity, and Gojo’s been sealed… to get him back, I have to imagine that everyone’s going to have to… wait for it… think outside the box. Byeeee! 😁 (Also what was that crack about all leg at the end…?) I’m gonna leave that one alone…

Hi Hime :) As you say, Gojo is "the solution" to a lot of things, so putting him aside will allow our group to progress quickly since they won't be able to be saved by Gojo this time. But that’s also what makes me laugh in the exchange between Yuji and Mechamaru: - They can't move at the moment. - Why? - Because it's Gojo Satoru. - That makes sense. It is precisely because Gojo is Gojo that putting him aside was vital for the story to move forward. Your reaction to Mechamaru being "alive" was awesome, but you quickly realized there was a subtlety to it. But yes, he is indeed dead and what we see is just the insurance he left if he was killed and couldn't reach Gojo before these events. Yuji is a boss for handling the curse/transfigured human so quickly and climbing the building in the process, all still having enough breath to scream like that. Nanami still has a certain trust in Yuji to go see him and ask him for more information directly after hearing what he shouted, while he was on his own mission. This is also why we love Nanami, he has this paternal side that we adore. We also see it with Ino when Nanami entrusts Yuji and Megumi to him, Ino is happy to have Nanami's trust. The whole world is thirsty for Gojo, but there is a good portion of fans who are also thirsty for Nanami, his "daddy" side may have something to do with it lol. Still on the subject of Nanami, he's trying to reach Ichiji, so we can still keep our fingers crossed for him, even if having been pierced 4 times is not a good sign.

Hello Melissa, They set a lot up in this one, first Mechamaru is back (kinda) which is awesome, and he was the reason everyone found out about Gojo’s capture too, so far it looks like he’s just chilling in the bone zone tho lol, hopefully they have Without a Net in there. One thing I’m really interested in finding out is how Mechamaru got all this insurance, hopefully we find out at some point. And Gojo’s absence pretty much destroying Japan makes a lot of sense, I guess it’s important they don’t let word get out about that lol. Poor Ijichi, he didn´t deserve such a brutal death!! And wow, we even saw Geto fight back with his body there, a pretty cool moment but I’m not sure who would be better having control lol, both are assholes. And I guess next time things will pick up after all the setup in this episode.

At the end of the last episode I recognized the earpiece looking like Mechamaru but I didn’t piece together that that was him. We saw him die so I guess I assumed they took a piece of his tech for the mission, since the were searching for him. Or maybe I thought it was the authors way of paying homage or something. I also thought it was Nanami in this episode because they did sound similar in this one. Anyways that’s really cool. Although I’m perplexed at how that works. He died but he’s passing on current information and communicating with the others as if he were alive. Like you said some remnant of him seems present. These pacts are wild! But that’s pretty cool. I’m super glad he’s still around to some capacity. He’s really coming through with the help. And Geto! Getos still in there! At least that’s what it’s looking like to me. I found the whole ‘each technique has its own worldview’ exchange between Mahito and Imposter Geto a bit interesting. We know Mahito’s whole “The shape of the body is defined by the shape of the soul” mantra is his thing; Yet I thought seeing Geto fight back against Brainy here was going to have Mahito rethink that whole idea but no. The idea of “just cause it’s true for you, doesn’t necessarily mean it applies to me.” I don’t know why I found that so interesting but I do. Next, Poor Ijichi. :( That was our guy. I know there’s other supervisor sorcerers like we have Nitta, the blonde supervisor, and a brunette we met shortly this arc. But he was the first assistant supervisor we met. He played a huge part in helping introduce Yuji to the sorcerer world. That’s so sad. And we lost him to that creep. Idk what his deal is but we don’t like him. Was not a fan in season 1 and definitely not now. >:( Now the baddies had some good dialogue here. Jogo (volcano head) was all about curses ruling over since day one. He’s expressed his survival doesn’t matter to him as long as curses rule the planet. Because of him I thought that’s what all of them were generally after. And Sukuna was a sure fire way to make that possible. But since the trap was successful they now have a new plan; Or most of them do anyways. That’s unsettling in a new way. I thought Sukuna was bad, like the ultimate bad. He’s no ally to them but he’d for sure be the one to make that curse world happen without Gojo around. But imposter Geto and Mahito taking charge instead is also something that doesn’t sound that great either. The fact that they just want to rule over humans and Sukuna was more a last resort thing speaks wonders to how dastardly they are. Also I knew where you were going before you mentioned My Hero. Before you said it I was thinking All Might. His pressure came to mind. Such a good example for this. I remember during a meeting Present Mic mentioning they kind of been taking it easy, assuming the pillar of hope would always be around. And that’s like Gojo I think. In My Hero crime was at an all time low when All Might was active. And with Gojo there were many curses in the shadows because he was present. It’s just more terrifying considering curses were already more than a handful, and new ones are coming in left and right. And now that Gojo’s gone even more will start appearing again. So actually try and think of a JJK world without Gojo. It’s nightmares walking all over the place. WARNING ⚠️ You don’t have to watch this. It’s the stuff of nightmares but fans make this joke saying this is what JJK would look like in real life. Watch at your own risk. It’s cool but eek. https://youtu.be/ZcgocbVuBbs?si=1vOK8qL5Qzs-gSmb And yeah we never met those people at the end. They look like an interesting bunch. Overall fantastic episode. I feel like I needed this breather after last week. That Ino dude had me pumped at the end there for next week’s episode!

Hey Bellana!!! Having Mechamaru sorta back is great! Hahahaha the bone zone, I love that!!! Lol I hope so too :P He's been so helpful though, for real! I'm curious about the insurance too. Yeah it does make sense that Gojo disappearing means that all of Japan gets wrecked, definitely wanna keep that one quiet if we can!! I know, poor Ijichi!!!! It was so fast :((( Gojo fighting back is so amazing! Lol yeah true, I guess we'll see. We set up a lot in this one and next one is sure to be intense as everything starts taking shape!!! Can't wait!!!

kamenriderhime

Ohhhh wow good call on the earpiece, I didn't notice it! Yeah they did well throwing us off with the voice didn't they. Yeah the pacts are something, I'm not quite clear on it either! I'm glad he got one last chance to shine here. It for sure looks like Geto's still in there!!! Yeah Mahito's pretty set in his ideas I guess. I know, Ijichi was the first supervisor we met wasn't he!!! So sad :( I hate that guy that took him out lol. That's the thing, I would have guessed that Sukuna was like the ultimate part of the plan, it's crazy to think that it's changed now and "Geto's" crew is just doing what they want. Oh I'm glad you thought of MHA too! There's so many similarities between this and All Might. Ugh, the JJK world is scary enough without having to add in Gojo not being there! OMG the video was awesome haha!!! Total nightmare fuel but so cool, were those like real suits/animatronics or something? Or CG??? Definitely what the world is gonna look like without Gojo :O Ok cool, glad they weren't people I forgot! Oh yeah, that was a good note to take out the ep on!!! Ino left us with some hope!!!

Manny

Glad you liked the video. I figured with this ep it would clear what’s at stakes. I honestly don’t know I think it’s all CG but it does it’s job too well. 😨

kamenriderhime

It was pretty awesome whatever it was! And yeah, that's pretty much where we're headed with this plot right now :O
