Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to episode 4 of Kamen Rider Gotchard!  Another great ep, and a big step towards Rinne's and Hotaro's friendship too!  Speaking of relationships, what's Spanner's deal with this little crush he seems to have on Rinne?  What's his deal in general?  We face off with an ant, another baddie, and our own feelings in this one, and I feel like Rinne has a clearer understanding of her goals/motivations now!  Hotaro's still killing it as best boy so far too!  Can't wait for more!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Record of Rinne: After 4 episiodes, Rinne has been harshly pulled, pushed, or even snatched by Houtaro to dodge attacks for 5 times! Some says that she might start to like this LOL.

Hi Hime :) Besides the budding friendship between Hotaro and Rinne, the point that appeals to me the most in this episode is Spanner and Lachesis and her sisters. First point - Spanner seems to be interested in Rinne, if we can take it as a "love" interest, when he talks about the wheel of destiny being set in motion, it makes me think of something completely different. Second point - The sisters seek to recover the chemies to open the final door. Why and what this door hides remains a mystery for the moment. Third point - Rinne's father broke the rules by taking away the chemies. I guess he did this to protect Rinne. Mix it all together and I start to get ideas (I'm an alchemist of theories). My guess would be this, Rinne is not a normal human and vital to many factions. You remember when I said that Rinne meant reincarnation and that Rinne actually said that alchemy allows you to create life from death. What if Rinne was dead, but her father hid an element in her via alchemy, allowing her to be resurrected but also to free someone or something? Making her the final door. The headquarters would have heard of this and wanted to take advantage of the final door, which would be why Rinne's father would have fled with the chemies and the driver to protect his daughter. Spanner was allegedly sent to retrieve the chemies and carried out the mission to open the door. The three sisters doing this in their corner without knowing who Rinne really is, but still wanting the chemies and the driver. That's my theory for now, but it would lead to an interesting conflict between Hotaro and perhaps his alchemy class, if Rinne turns out to be the target of the alchemical world and the three sisters. We'll see in the future, but if that's it, I'll give myself a big pat on the back lol.

First question is, I wonder how well the chemy trading card game is going in Japan right now? Because there’s no way what Hotaro and the other two students are doing at the start of the episode is replaying anywhere else… I’ll trade you these two for that one…! I think the main point about how Hotaro uses the Chemies is that he actually takes the time to connect with them and asks them for assistance instead of just ordering it - everyone else kind of uses them as - well, tools. SORRY it worked too well! 😂 Speaking of that, what DID those two want with Kamantis. I’m wondering if the subs made an error earlier because Rinne was referred to by her dad’s name in the first episode. This is what happens when it’s fan subs, every once in a while there’s a slip up. Oh well. Lachesis is the last of the Abyssalis Sisters, and she seems to be very Grimm like, she really likes despair. I’m not sure if her tactics involved shrinking everyone into an ant hill, recreating a different scene, or teleporting them. Maybe if we ask the Chemy? Family’s family, so of course Rinne would feel conflicted about her father’s supposed demise. Good thing Hotaro’s such a polar opposite personality wise of her. Okay, we need to talk about Spanner - the guy’s really laying it on thick. (In a way, I’m kinda jealous because I’ve never been that confident.) But I can’t tell if he’s legit interested or just doing it to get a rise out of Hotaro. There however, is a THIRD option… does he know something about her that she doesn’t even have awareness of? Still need answers on why Fuga stole the 101 Chemies from the Academy and what the “final door” is that the sisters want to open. We might be going the “love triangle” route, but Hotaro already literally took Rinne for a ride on top of everything else. So he’s got a leg up already. Although he did promise to cook her something unique, I don’t think this is exactly what he had in mind… 😅 Stick to what you’re good at, kid! The chemy cards all popping up on the screen signals the end of the episode. Well, I could remind you to get the songs… or you could wait and react to them live when the show takes its first break then go get them. What do you think? I sorta did my job… :)

Spanner she’s not interested. Try Hotaro’s approach, it works. It’ll at least make you guy’s friends. Or wait, maybe that’s not what he wants. 🤔

Yeah he's not taking the hint!! That's the thing, start slow and maybe they'll at least get closer as friends! But yeah, I think he's singular-focused right now hehe.

Hahahaha I'd be shocked if there wasn't a chemy tcg growing in popularity in Japan right now! That's the thing, Hotaro really cares about the chemies. Oh that's true, we didn't follow up on the Kamantis thing, did we? Ohhhh maybe that's what happened with the subs then! I can see the Grimm vibes for sure. The chemies would probably have more info on how her powers work! Yeah, it must be hard for Rinne to feel both betrayed and also lots of love for her dad, but that's family for you for sure. Hotaro's personality being so opposite of hers makes them a great pair here for sure. And speaking of pairs, Spanner's really trying to work that charm lol! I mean, it had crossed my mind that he's playing the lovestruck boy in order to get at something else (not what you'd typically think of in that situation lol, I mean something actually related to the bigger plot :P), but I guess time will tell! Yeah there's still lots of questions about the cards and the door and whatnot, for sure. Yeah Hotaro's leading in the love triangle thing, they already went for a ride and he made her dinner. Although yeah, that didn't exactly go as planned :P Oh good to know about the cards signaling the ending! Ohhhh thank you for the reminder!!! Hmm, I'm gonna go ahead and get them now, I never even got to do my reaction to the full Geats song cause I forgot!!!! Thanks!!!
