Hey everyone!  I'm back with Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, episode 9!  OMG!!!!!  So much going on in this one! Gojo's fight was FIRE!!!  He's so OP it's not even funny....in fact, he's so OP that he can precisely use a sliver of his power in order to preserve life as much as possible and still take out his opponents, sheesh!  But wow, coming face to face with Geto was one thing I'm sure he wasn't expecting, and it was just enough to stop him in his tracks enough to get trapped.  And OMG, I'm still reeling about what happened at the end!  So that's not even really Geto?!!?!  And it has something to do with Yuta?!?!  Or am I losing it!?  Or all of the above?!?!  Can't wait for more!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

On the anime site I follow, yesterday, they posted a funny image but the caption was “us trying to avoid JJK Spoilers this week.” I kinda understand that now… The first thing the episode airs is kind of a interview documentary of different opinions on Gojo, followed immediately by him going to town and showing off his skills. My guess is the setup here was so you could understand just how precise the curses had to be to pull this off - even up to the point that some of them had to be sacrificed. Speaking of sacrifice, that’s a lot of blood and death for an anime… even by an anime’s standards! Good grief… and Mahito set up the train full of transfigured humans while they dumped more live ones on top of him on the terminal just to put him more on edge: who do you save? The ones who are trapped, or the ones who aren’t? It’s not always easy being the “hero” character, especially when the choice is this impossible. I believe the game the curses we’re playing is called Mahjong - there’s a version of it in the MMO I play, it’s kind of a numbers game using different tiles and suits, but the version I played is not unlike poker in how different combinations are valued (four if a kind, straight, flush, etc.) Gojo used Infinite Void for 2/10 of a second. It took you at least five times as long to read that sentence. And the survivors still needed two months to recover. It says he killed 1,000 transfigured humans in 299 seconds - that’s 4 minutes and 59 seconds. I believe the reason “Geto” appeared was to make sure Gojo stayed put in the four meter radius once the domain opened, after exhausting himself. I don’t think Gojo was that shocked to see him - remember, they met at the school in S1, I think. He was shocked to see him HERE. Speaking of which… that’s not really Geto? What do we call this thing? Krang? To clarify what you were confused on, the curse in his head said because Gojo didn’t turn the body of Geto over for disposal, that’s why it could possess it that easily. As to why Gojo did it, I imagine he might’ve been uncomfortable with the idea. According to the same curse, Gojo did kill Geto, after Yuta thoroughly gage him a shellacking in Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Boy, it’s a good thing we had you watch the movie first, isn’t it? But Yuta’s power was formed because of the pact with the girl that was bound to him, and nothing else - inferring that he may not have the same strength now that he did then. As for what Yuta has to do with the current situation? Nothing. Nothing yet, anyway. The season is still young, but his name here only comes up as a reference point. Gojo has been sealed. What will his students do next, what does the seal entail, and can it be undone? Or will we have to soldier on without our trump card for a while? Or longer? I kinda get the whole skin care that, people keep asking me why I look twenty five years younger than I actually am. I’m not complaining. That comment rambled some… I imagine a manga reader might be able to shed some better light on what’s going on, but that’s how my head is making sense of this so far. Remember when I said last week this particular story really likes complexity? Shoulda kept my mouth shut… 😅

Don’t worry there is no “I assumed that was Geto”. That’s new information and WHOA! That took me aback. All this time I thought they’d answer what happened because of the movie but no that wasn’t him after all. My head hurts. I did assume that stitched scar was from something off screen. I never imaged what was really behind/under(?) it. Man this series gets darker and more disturbed. Btw the little lines exchanged at the end with Brains and Gojo was basically saying: Brains: “I have plans, you are too strong, I had to take you out & no one’s going to stop me”. Gojo: Pfft forget who beat that body (Geto) before I killed him? Brain: Yuta? Idk why you’re hyping him up. *Explains Yuta’s technique is nothing compared to Gojo’s.* See you in the new world I’m building. ✌️ End. To none Japanese speakers this shows dialogue can be harder to follow because a lot happens and you’re trying to follow the action while reading. Plus, the power system usually has me pausing and absorbing the explanations because it’s a bit complicated with overlapping powers. Plus, this was just such a huge bombshell that it’s hard to comprehend. By all accounts you’re doing pretty good following. And yeah Gojo has that scary feral look when he’s going all out. Terrifying.

Hi Hime :) Students: “He is the strongest” Hime: Of course he is We see Gojo tired Hime reaction: https://youtu.be/VM3uXu1Dq4c?si=tI1GDSfKkw63M_XT Hanami, Jogo and Choso against Gojo, who is the real monster here? Jogo even tries to protect Hanami while Gojo was ready to sacrifice humans, logically it's a "good guys vs bad guys" type of encounter, but it's Gojo who acts like the "bad guy". There are more humans dead in this episode than in the entire season 1, when we said to be ready, we weren't kidding... Gojo killed the transfigured humans, all 1000 of them in just 5 minutes, we understand his fatigue better, because he surely had to push his physical capabilities to the maximum in this time frame. Geto not being Geto is a moment I've been waiting for. It has nothing to do with Yuta, but the reveal of who this brain is is a big moment too, so I won't say anything more. What Gojo says is Yuta is strong and could pose a problem for "Not Geto's" plans, but "Not Geto" thinks Yuta won't be that big of a threat. For the moment, Yuta is on a mission, which is why we haven't seen him yet in the series. What you just suffered is what I'll call the first impact, tons of dead humans, Gojo sealed and the revelation of Geto not being Geto. We're only at the beginning and we've already been through this, but the arc isn't over, so prepare yourself for the next acts. When we said that those who only follow the anime weren't ready for this season, we sincerely meant it. It almost reminds me of the last season of MHA, where we also said that people weren't ready for what was happening there. There is just a lot more death.

Hello Melissa, my exam week is finally over and I can enjoy your reaction even more! that was the best episode of jjk so far including season 1 gojo is so op and one of my favourite characters. He looked INSANE this episode. I almost got scared of him. Quite the wild episode, first off seeing Hanami die was very satisfying, the final boss of Season 1 is done just like that lol, at least I hope so and they don’t pull some bs. And Gojo is really doing all that he can without causing a mass slaughter to win this fight, he can’t save everyone but he’s trying to mitigate the losses at least and it’s very cool to see him do it, unfortunately it’s exactly what the enemy wanted and now he’s finally caught, upsetting to see but I figured something along these lines might happen the way things were going. Also wow, so this current Geto isn’t actually him? If it’s as the weird brain creature said, wow I wasn’t expecting that, not that it changes much but cool reveal lol. And all this time I’m thinking these poor folks who just wanted to enjoy Halloween lol, some got instant deaths and about a thousand people became gross monsters and got slaughtered, Jujutsu Kaisen is a shitty world to live in lol, the worst of all we saw that one girl that was leftover also got transmogrified and died, if Mahito ever "bites the dust" it will be very satisfying. And lastly, Yuji has now been informed about Gojo being captured, looking forward to seeing where this goes after the strongest fighter is currently down. And I also asking me what Yuta have to do with all of this?

Lemonkatze

im not gonna read all these walls of text but the thing with yuta is yuta is the one who took down geto in the first place not gojo, so gojo was saying he could do it again. and not geto was saying he doubts it also yuta is off trailing with the guy with the whips from the movie

Lemonkatze

also i really love that gojo exorcised hanami purely buy walking close to them with his inifinity activated and nothing else lol

kamenriderhime

Ohhhh ok gotcha, thanks for explaining about Yuta, I totally didn't get that lol. Omg wasn't that crazy with Hanami?! Gojo's so OP!!!
