Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo Part 4, episode 36!!!  OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!  You guys, this is so much worse than I imagined!!!  I thought maybe we had a shot once everything reset, but it turns out that's just the ultimate failsafe against anyone finding out info on Kira.  They literally blow up before anything even takes place once that loop begins!!!  Watching Rohan's soul flying over Reimi.....watching almost our WHOLE CREW explode.....no freaking way!!!!  Poor Hayato, he really was willing to do anything to get this done, jeez!!!!  This poor kid!!!  And the SHEER STUPID LUCK of Kira....!!!!  It's infuriating!!!  You guys, Hayato HAD HIM!!!  The cat thing WORKED!!!
Ugghhhh what are the odds of that watch being right in his pocket?!?!?!  I cannot imagine how we're going to get out of this one but I can't wait to find out!  Great ep! Enjoy!  ~ MH

Hi Hime :) Your reaction to the opening was perfect lol. But yeah, now that you've had Dio interrupting his and Kira going back in time, you can already guess that you'll have this kind of "bizare" for the other openings to come too. The arrow can indeed develop the power of a stand, making it evolve. This won't be the last time or the only way a stand evolves, you've already seen with Koichi. But just so it's not too confusing, in my opinion the arrow only brings the stand up to its user's level. What I mean by that is that the arrow has only adapted his stand to his current state of mind. If Kira still had the same state of mind as at the start of the season, the arrow would not have done anything to him I think. With the looping, you understand why he knew what was going to happen, he had already experienced it. Which is quite sad and cruel for Hayato, to relive the same day again knowing that he is responsible for the deaths of people. And moreover, for an 11 year old kid, this passage makes him grow up a lot, wanting to commit suicide and kill Kira, showing his determination to protect his mother, Kira is not the only one to have matured. Kira was for a moment able to defeat all of his enemies, which is the best a Jojo villain has done yet. Now I want to touch on just a little theory that I've had in mind for a while, even if it mostly works for the first six, but for me, JoJo's are linked to life and their enemies to death. Araki said in the first volume that what motivated him was a poem, talking about two prisoners looking outside through the bars, one sees the mud and the other the stars. This idea of a person having the same position but not seeing the same thing led me to think about the mirror aspect of Jojo and their villain. Hamon is an energy that comes from the sun, from breathing, from blood, which allows us to live better and longer, even to heal. This is a power that can be greatly implemented in “life”. The vampires drink the blood and turn people into living dead. Men of stone, absorb all life. It is a power of destruction of life, therefore of “death”. Jotaro and Dio have the same power to stop time, but as I said at the time, each for a different reason. Jotaro to save his mother's "life", Dio to rule the world and take the lives of others. And here we have Josuke who can literally heal, while Kira explodes things. You will also see it with the next parts, I'll let you discover their stand, but for me there is this relationship between the Jojo, who protects life and destiny, when their antagonist tries to fight against it, manipulate it or destroy it.

Yeaaaaah, the arrow is some CRAAAZY stuff. I've talked about how personality wise, Kira is much like Patrick Bateman... But now I feel like the transformation from David Bowie to Christian Bale is now complete. xD And speaking of transformations... Now you get to see Hayato is no. 1 when it comes to little kid characters in Jojo. Honestly I don't give a crap what anyone says, but Hayato has to be the best Jojo kid hands down. Poor kid not only has a serial killer pretending to be his dad, but he's pretty much dropped into a stand encounter without a stand OR prior knowledge about stands. Poor kid has to figure it out all on his own, and not only does he have to track the protagonists down... He has to prevent a full-blown party wipe. (BTW, Notice how Jotaro's face explodes? It split juuuuuuust like how Boingo's book predicted... ) ...Honestly the fact that he actually had the resolve to end his life to try and stop the ability from activating? It just makes me forget all about his introduction until I watch the series again. xD I think we need to give Hayato his own Spin-Off series. The kid has certainly earned the right to be a protagonist of his own story. Though here's the thing... Hayato DID die when Kira confronted him about the tape in the bathroom, but the Bites the Dust ability had managed to undo that. ...Honestly I'm really going to miss this part once it's gone. I certainly wouldn't say it's a perfect part, but it's just oozing with so much personality just fleshing out this little town. Other shonen shows would always try to trump the last arc, always making the bad guy bigger, badder, stronger, meaner... Yet it was nice for Jojo to take a step back with the stakes and remind us that shows don't need the fate of the world hanging in the balance to make some epic, gripping, and suspenseful conclusion... Like Kira got a huge, VILLIANOUS power-up.... But he's just going to use that to keep on keepin' on with his serial killer life. xD It just needs to have the right kind of personal conflict, y'now?. ;D And Araki had certainly found it. And Dio had truly started a new fan-favorite tradition that during the week when it's time for the final encounter, the OP gets messed with to reflect that. Personally... Part 4 has my least favorite version of it, because I feel like other parts get a special animation for it... While here? It's just mostly editing tricks and certainly feels... Cheap. xD Then again, the Great Days OP *DID* have a different version early when it was first shown because it wasn't fully completed. Look forward to a SPECIAL version of Great Days in the next batch of episodes. Also with how things have been going the past few days, I feel like I may or may not lose my job. If I do, well I'm going to have to conserve my cash... So I'll take my chance right now to say thank you for the entertainment over the years(I know it's been more than one single year, but I feel weird saying it was YEARS. xD ), and hope you continue to enjoy Jojo and everything else you're watching! ....But if you hear me again next week, then it's safe to say "crisis averted." xD

Hey Melissa, finally we are in the Bites the dust arc. One of the coolest if not the best arc in DiU. It's so frustrating to see how Kira keeps escaping our crew through his luck. I was as shocked as you when I saw our beloved characters die not once but several times in front of us. It leaves me in tears every time I see Rohan's soul in Reimi's alley. I also feel very much for Hayato. In the last episodes he has grown very close to my heart and I admire his courage very much. I tear up every time I see him cry. He must feel terrible that he can't protect his mother and kills strangers by his actions. His plan with Stray Cat is so brilliant, but unfortunately it didn't really do anything against Kira. If I'm honest, I would have been happy with an ending where Kira became a loving husband and father, but after everything that happened in the last two episodes, I just want to see him suffer. I didn't even want to see Dio suffer as much as I want to see Kira be in pain. He just hurt my Baby Boy Hayato too much and my heart can't forgive him for that. 😡😭 Your reaction to the changes in the op was exactly the same as I had. I was still in shock from Kira's face close up (which btw is also a well known meme) when all of a sudden the op played backwards. I love those changes so much. They show how much the production studio David Production stands behind Jojo and how much passion went into this anime. Now I can finally share my little analysis of Part 4's openings with you. With the 3 openings, DiU is divided into three story parts that are also musically realized. In "Crazy noisy bizarre town" you get to know the town of Morioh and its partly very bizarre citizens. "Chase you" describes very well the chase with Kira and changes the tone of the part from very cheerful to something darker as these are the feelings of Josuke at the time. Great Days then lightens the tone a bit, as we also get very funny episodes with the crew. Great Days reversed version is a great way to incorporate the events of the episodes into the opening. It definitely raises the expectations for the finale of DiU. Today I show you fanarts from one of my favorite artist. Maybe I had already shown comics from her but I'm not so sure anymore. I'll save the really emotional comics for next week, for the finale. Today there are more sweet comics. I told you last episode, don’t watch anymore! But did you listen… did you learn NOTHING from Rohan? Also if you reverse Great Days, what do you get instead when you just run the entire opening backwards…? Hayato’s got quite a lot of screen time here for a “supporting” character, the entire episode is pretty much a war of wits between him and Kira, not unlike Light and L. I keep coming back to the reference because it’s there for a reason. Leave it to our crew to be completely clueless for five minutes when Hayato is right in front of them… it’s equal parts funny, aggravating and frightening. So here is something else to consider. Rohan dies sometime after the clock strikes 8:29. The rest of the crew is killed, friendly or scary face, at about 8:36. Kira’s ability only rewinds time by an hour. So if, for some reason, on the next go-around we get past 9:30, Rohan’s death is sealed. If we go past 9:36, they’re all gone for good. As for Kira’s luck, clearly he’s the anti-Qrow. I wonder if this is Araki making a spoof on the “nice guys finish last” trope. Either way, Kira might actually be causing more chaos than DIO, if you can believe it… You’re still shutting off the preview that only tells you the title of the next episode, but here’s a interesting thing: this episode ended on a clock. Did you get any 24 vibes off that? “There is NO WAY they’re killing off everyone…!” Are you ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY ONE HUNDRED PERCENT SURE about that…? We’ve had this conversation in a previous part… as in, you willing to bet all your Jojo merch on it…? 👀 You’re sweating a little now, aren’t you. 😅

Yes, Kira explained anyone asking about him will have them in Bites the Dust grasp. I can’t see a way out of this one. Rohan is the only one able to activate Heaven’s door. However even if he doesn’t arrive on the scene, or hasn’t made contact yet with Hayato, because it happened before already, it’ll still be automatically destined to happen regardless if he’s there or not. There doesn’t have to be a cause or reason I guess. It just looks like fate will make it happen. The rules Kira set are so ironclad that it’s making things more impossible with each reset. I’m scared. 😟 Also yeah is no one going to bring up the hair? 🧐

kamenriderhime

I know, like I don't see a way out of this!!! Except for literally taking out Kira, which thankfully is an option - he's not invincible as a person or anything. But he's so clever and has thought so many steps ahead, I'm not even sure how to make that happen at this point. OMG thank you Manny, I was starting to think I was the only one who noticed the hair!!!!! :P

kamenriderhime

I've learned nothing from any of the warnings life has given me, that much should be obvious by now :P I'm guessing Great Days reversed can be officially referred to as Bad Days? Like the one our crew is having? :P Yeah Hayato's gotten the main focus fast hasn't he. I can totally see this being a Light/L scenario. OMG like the being clueless thing is such a Jojo trope by now, it's hilarious and infuriating all at once for sure haha. Oh thank you for clarifying the times! OMG the time absolutely cannot go past that point, I'll die too!!! Seriously, he is the anti-Qrow lol, what is with his luck?? I mean, I have to say, the suspense is off the charts here, even compared to the Dio fight. Oh that's interesting about the clock, haha yes they're really going for the 24 vibes here aren't they? I mean that's the thing, technically, if there's already another Jojo out there, they could kill them all :O I'm not betting ANYTHING on this show!!! Not after Jonathan :/ I've been sweating it out all week...!!!

PS - Bellana shared these with me, I think you'd like them!!! https://www.instagram.com/p/CiXuc4VsP-9/?img_index=1 https://www.instagram.com/p/Cjiyt9Ps9lC/?img_index=1

Ah! Melissa stop the cuteness. I love these! See and it feels no different from now because they totally feel like brothers already. I’m loving these au art. It’s calming my heart. Lol Jotaro being the scary but sweet caretaker to Josuke is exactly what I imagine it’d be like. I needed this pick me up after those episodes. Thank you so much for keeping me in mind! I really appreciate it 💗😊

kamenriderhime

Hehehee isn't it adorable?! That's the thing, it really doesn't change all that much about their dynamic. Oh yeah that's right on the nose, sort of a gentle giant at heart <3 Of course!!!! I thought of you as soon as Bellana shared them!!! I'm glad you liked them!!!

And Kakyoin amvs. And Giorno amvs. And Jonathan's and Joseph's. But not on this post, but on earlier ones etc, more fitting. 😆 I will share if you wanna. Meanwhile... Here, a Kira Yoshikage fan AMV (Queens song... because sb did it and it's neat 😆) here: https://youtu.be/hq61skL5xxU?si=8oaBJhYkaWHoyhMs (two Queen songs there, you know which.
