Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo Part 4, episode 20!!! OMG!!!!  You guys, what did I ever do to deserve a whimsical fairy tale episode like this?  I love that even the darker, heavier parts still kinda fit with the true fairy tale vibe too, dang what a great ep!!!  I didn't expect Koichi to get over the whole kidnapping thing so fast, but I mean....I guess love conquers all?  Cinderella was really something, but I loved that it wasn't even really the Stand all along that made Koichi fall for Yukako!!!  So like, they're TOGETHER together now?!!?!?  Wow!!!  Also can we get a round of applause for Josuke and Okuyasu's reactions to Koichi telling them LOL!!!!  Great ep!  Can't wait for more!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Crap, I forgot to make a post for this week. I’ll just say that the Yukako episode this week actually happened later in the manga, but it was moved ahead in the anime during a time where it feels more appropriate to have a story like this. Also Shihechi in the anime I think has the same actor in All Star Battle, but I'll have to fact check later.

I never expected that we would get a real romance episode in Jojo. In the other parts, love and relationships were only touched on superficially, which is a bit of a pity, because I would have liked to see much more of Jonathan & Erina and Joseph & Suzie. But as we all know Romance is not Arakis strong point . *cough* Joseph affair *cough* I was really surprised at first that yukako and Koichi really became a couple but I have to admit that I find them very cute together. I love romance animes so I really enjoyed this episode. The best part was Josuke and Okuyasu's reaction to the whole thing. I burst out laughing every time that scene comes on. I am very sure that one day Okuyasu will also meet the right girl who loves him very much . The cozy time is over, because Kira will soon have his big appearance.

Hi Hime :) What's ironic is that Shigechi was alone, he just wanted friends, so his stand is an army of little friends. For a long time Araki said that Harvest was one of his favorite stand, probably the aspect of being able to retrieve and find lost items has to play into it, but also probably being able to move around without moving yourself, it must also be quite practical. The episode with Yukako is one of my favorite episodes, because I love Yukako and Koichi and so seeing their romance confirmed like that is just the best for me. I already feel that after finishing Jojo, you're going to miss it, but don't worry, there's enough stuff to do with it, including a lot of amateur work, like videos with 1 second of each episode and 2 seconds of each episode, which taken out of context, brings you to a rather... bizarre viewing ^^.

Alright, so we've got a new Jojo Bro who like Okuyasu, has a super, SUPER busted stand that's only held back by the intelligence of his User. Unlike Okuyasu though, Shigechi DOES have the slightest edge on him when it comes that. xD Harvest is named after a Neil Young Song(which became the name of one of his albums), and honestly I wouldn't mind having this stand... Even if the most I'd use is to grab loose change or find lost objects. xD Mitsuo Yamaguchi voiced Shigechi, and as I recalled... He does have the same voice actor in the PS3 version of All-Star Battle. I feel like Part 4 is filled with *most* of the people that HAD voiced the character in that game and in the anime. xD He's Usopp of the Strawhat Pirates, and also voiced Teddie(or Kuma in the Japaense version) in Persona 4, he played Ticket in Toqger(as well as the ranger's equipment), and he played Kechizu in Jujutsu Kaisen(The curse that got hit by the Nail finisher in the season 1 finale). Cinderella was the name of a US Glam Metal Band, but it's also a twofer reference as I'm sure you can guess what the second reference would be considering the fairy tale theming and such. Aya was voiced by Kaori Mizuhashi, who voiced the main protagonist of La Pucelle, Laharl from Disgea, and Mami from Madoka. She even voices another Aya from the anime To-Love-Ru. xD It's funny because I'm pretty sure she's just a support item or navigation voice for the menus. In the anime she's voiced by Sayaka Ohara, who voiced Irisviel von Einzbern from Fate/Zero, Margaret from Persona 4, Milly Ashford from Code Geass, she's got a rather huge list of roles. Though it's funny because in the Brazil Dub, Aya is voiced by someone who HAD voiced Cinderella in another Brazilian Dub. ...Though in Eyes of Heaven, apparently they were scared to call her stand 'Cinderella', so they went with the name 'Fashionista'. She also appears in a novel, however her stand has a different name despite having the same powers. They weren't trying to avoid copyright laws though, considering the stand's name was 'FACE-OFF'. As I said before, they had moved Cinderella to happen *now* while everything is still in slice of life mode. So keep in mind when you watch the next two episodes, the Cinderella episode was originally supposed to happen RIGHT after then. xD It'll just help the next few episodes flow more smoothly into each other. I can't wait to talk about the 2nd OP's lyrics next time, because this is my favorite Jojo OP fact.

I know, I was half expecting it to go wrong lol. Omg, I couldn't agree more about wanting to see more romance development in this series. We all know how these things tend to work out sometimes in Araki's writing..... :(((((((( But when he does it well, he really does it well!!! I was surprised they moved past everything that happened between them so fast too, but I do agree that they're cute together!! Their reaction was AMAZING hahaha!!! Aww I think so too, Okuyasu has so much to offer! Oh wow, I'm gonna miss cozy time but I'm excited to see more of our main villain!!!

Hi Spadeas! :) Ohhhh I never even thought of it that way, but you're right that Harvest is like a bunch of little friends, awww!! There's so much potential with this Stand for sure! Wasn't the Cinderella episode just so sweet?! I don't know what I'm gonna do with my life after I'm done with this show haha, but here's hoping they animate more of it really soon! I bet there's tons of extra content too!!! The out of context clips sound.....bizarre lol.....and definitely like something I want to see!!!

This Stand is so powerful right!!! And Shigechi really does know how to use it well! That's cool about the song reference! Oh wow, no kidding about this VA, I'm always surprised to hear how many other shows these actors have done! The Cinderella name is kind of a double reference for sure! That's crazy about all the different VAs for Aya!!!! One was even Cinderella, what are the odds lol. That's interesting that they'd change the name, but not Face Off hehe. Wow....something tells me I'll be surprised that this story was placed after the next few, originally! Ohhhh I can't wait to get into the story, OP, etc. even more!! Although I did love having these sweet SoL eps!!!

First item: the heading for this post has an incorrect episode title which really threw me off until I looked at it closer. Might want to fix that! Okay, now… I’m suspicious. Why, you ask? What Yukako did seems to be the equivalent of a “love potion” to make someone fall under their spell, in this case, Koichi. I can’t say with 100% certainty it worked, but evidence can’t discredit it, either. Also, girls are so hung up on their appearance (not ALL of them, but a good majority). Sometimes it feels like they’re trying to hide their true selves behind all that dust. Guys are simple. Looks DO mean a little, but personality and behavior have a lot to indicate about whether or not someone’s going to take an interest. In this case, it wasn’t Yukako’s look that drew Koichi (or was it the potion?) as much as it was Koichi’s interest in her personality. Also Josuke, maybe don’t sit on the window sill as much, before we have a Bleach-level incident? The scene where she has to choose a face and none of them are here reminded me of something similar taking place in a Ghibli film from the late 90s. Oh yeah, you keep trying to cut off the preview that’s not there, but checking the titles there probably would help you keep in mind if the next episode starts an arc or not. So now that they’re together… o now wonder… which one of them is gonna die? Because… it’s Jojo and we can’t have nice things. 🙃

Well Face Off *is* a little different from Cinderella, since while it kind of does the same thing... Face Off is far more simpler and limited compared to Cinderella's abilities. ...I just can't really get into why at the moment. As for Fashionista, that was the name change they had for Eyes of Heaven when it came out over here. xD I'm not sure if I brought this up, but they called Polneraff "Jean-Pierre Effiel" in those games as well... But I think there was enough of a fan-out cry that they made sure that Polneraff could be called 'Polneraff' in the anime. xD ...Either that or they found a loop-hole that allowed them to call him 'Polneraff', much like with Speedwagon, LOL. ....Also let's talk about the killer for a quick second, because I want to get this thought out before I forget it. I know Kira is based off David Bowie, but I believe it might be based on a certain *type* of Bowie. Specifically, David Bowie as he looked when he played Phillip Jeffries in the Twin Peaks movie, "Fire Walk with me". The Twin Peaks movie WAS released in Japanese theaters in May 1992, while Kira's manga Debut was all the way in October 3, 1993. So it could be possible. o:

Oh that's interesting that they changed it around a little! Oooh interesting that there's more to Cinderella, I can't wait to know more once we get there!!! That's so crazy about changing Polnareff's name, I'd be pretty livid as a fan haha! I mean I always wondered why they had to change things that were not that unique, like surnames. For example, Santana. But I guess they found a loophole like you said for Polnareff, so that's good! Whooooaaaa I didn't realize Kira was based on David Bowie from Twin Peaks, that's so cooooollll!!! Dude I LOVE Twin Peaks, I'm for sure gonna be feasting on this knowledge for a while hahaha. I think it could definitely be possible, in fact I get slight Twin Peaks vibes from this whole part to be honest. Sweet!!!! That just made my day haha

I was kinda wondering the whole time if it was really the Stand or just Koichi's feelings, I guess the answer is yes lol. I agree about personality, I was thinking that during this episode too - that it really wasn't her looks that had spooked Koichi in the first place lol. And as for guys being simple, tell that to Josuke with what's undoubtedly a lengthy and complicated hair gel routine :P But yeah, I think Koichi fell for her as a person for sure, which was a nice message. Hahahaha Josuke on the window sill is such an iconic moment!!! I've never seen much of Bleach but I'll take your word for it lol. Ohhhh yeah I heard that after, it's been forever since I've seen Spirited Away so I didn't even think of it! Good call about the titles, thanks for the reminder - I can see them on Crunchyroll as I'm loading up the next ep too! NOOOOOOOO don't even put that into the universe Tyler!!!! No one is gonna die!!! We're in our SoL era, nothing bad's gonna happen EVER :O

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Araki was pretty inspired by Twin Peaks, because that kind of show feels like it'd be right up his alley. xD Though he's definitely more Patrick Bateman than Phillip Jeffries in terms of personality.
