Hey everyone! I'm back with season 2, episode 10 of Legend of Vox Machina!  WOW!!!  This episode was FIRE!!!  I love Grog getting the chance to resolve this issue from his past, as well as finding out what his true strength is!  Getting to see the whole crew throw down to some EPIC metal music was...well...pretty metal XD
But wow, I was not ready for that ending....I went from feeling bad for Pike to just being pretty surprised haha!!!  Dang!  Great ep - enjoy!  ~ MH

Hi Hime :) The horde is a group of bandits going from village to village to ransack them and steal money ect ect to survive. But it is made up of several races, not just Grog's. I say that just to clarify because you must have seen that there are many different skin colors within the horde. "It won't happen "poof" with magic" hummm... Well... that's exactly what happened lol. Hearing you say that when I knew how Grog was going to recover his strength made me laugh a little, but hey, that's also the advantage of knowing in advance compared to you. Nevertheless, we must recognize Grog for what he is, courageous and an excellent fighter. Even with half his usual size, he stands up to his uncle and resists rather well when the other members of the horde do not even dare to meet Kevdak's gaze. Which goes to show that Grog is more than just a bunch of muscle, he KNOWS how to fight. This fight between Vox Machina and the horde is just pure adrenaline and endorphin for our brain. Whether it's the music, the action, the choice of certain badass scenes (Percy with the explosion behind him and just the reflection of his glasses visible), how can you not be totally into this kind of experience. Finally, the "I'm Daddy?" is as comic as embarrassing. You will learn more in the next episode and the campaign version is interesting to see too: https://youtu.be/4ipBarhCDYY It goes a bit further than what you just saw by incorporating a few seconds from the next episode, so if you want to save it for later it's up to you, but it really doesn't interfere with the experience and just to see the reaction of everyone around the table, it's worth it.

People tend to fight harder when they have something to fight for - it’s a trope and it’s used in many shows, but it’s true. Frog’s motivation far exceeds that of Kevdak. Protecting someone is a far stronger motivation than just staying in charge. By the way, I was kind of disappointed he wasn’t told he needed to work on his landing STRATEGY. (You know.) So now that THAT’s taken care of all we have to do is take down a ornery dragon naked Umbrasyl, I believe. I’ve seen this, but it’s been a couple months. Percy can put together an elaborate trap, but he does need time… Meanwhile, the party isn’t going quite as planned because everyone keeps getting… side tracked? Vax has to deal with the Matron (you keep referring to her as Raven, but she’s the Matron OF Ravens. Yeah, that’s not gonna get confusing at all with other characters from multiple other shows! 😅) Poor Keyleth, she never had a chance, she got sent to voicemail. As for Scanlan, well, Kaylie is in a troupe, is able to sing and play, looks very much like her dad… oh by the way add Scanlan to the VERY RAPIDLY GROWING list of people who have kids they don’t know about on this schedule… gee, it was bad enough when Pike thought he was fooling around… what’s this gonna cause? This is getting g juicier. PS: I know you said your plan was to swap this out for Ahsoka, but we’re finishing next week so I was curious what you’re thinking about doing since it’ll be another four weeks after before that starts. I can think of ONE idea, but, I’ll wait to hear back. Time to start moving pieces around the board again? 👀😁

The episodes were amazing this week. Strength comes in numbers but even that means nothing when you don’t have people you truly care about to protect. That was an intense battle, it hurt to watch in many areas but it was awesome! It was epic and I’m really glad we got to see a Grog story unfold. This was not asked for but definitely needed. And dang that ending! I was going to top this off by saying how epic this whole episode was but Scanland had me wanting to know more and saying ew put your pants back on! Lol. But fr I thought Kaylie was supposed be like a female Scanland; appearance wise. Ya know seeing as how she’s also a musician and all. And later, like you said, just really went hard and warmed up to him after. But nope. That’s his kid! 😲 I can’t wait for next week. I mean I really can’t I want to know now! This is gonna be torture!

So true, determination is everything! Hahahaha if you know you know :P Yeah next we're heading for the final boss! Oh sorry, I meant the Matron, but it is easy to call her Raven since I'm used to it with that other show I love hehe. Yikes, sent to voicemail is a good way to put it, poor Kiki!!! Yeah they have a ton of side quests for sure. I guess I should've seen it coming with Kaylie! OMG!!!! For real, I'm still bitter over this whole child-they-didn't-know-about thing, can we PLEASE stop having this in all my shows please!!!! :P I have no clue what'll happen with him and Pike now, but it will undoubtedly be drama! Oh good question, I'll have a couple week gap so in addition to the Vol. 9 soundtrack, I'm hoping to put out a post/poll about what I might be able to catch up on in that time. For example, there are a TON of Kamen Rider movies and specials I'm behind on! I'll keep you posted :D

I agree!!! And so well said!! The battle was so epic! And so true, like I wouldn't have thought of this but it was just the story I didn't know I needed so much. Dang, the whole Scanlan's kid thing was a weird twist wasn't it lol!!! It kinda makes sense, but at the same time, I had other theories too. Ahhhhh I know, I'm dying for the finale!!! XD

I’m so happy for Kiki she found the courage to be so forward with Vax and actively return his Season 1 overtures and flirtation…..it’s just tragic bad timing his Warlock relationship with a Death Goddess makes him want to pull away to protect his friends.

Grog dropping from the sky to split Kevdak is one of if not my favorite moment from the first campaign. And it’s pretty much exactly how I imagined it, the only thing that I would have loved more is if they didn’t have the dust cloud and we actually saw Kevdak cleaved through, but I imagine that might be a little too much for the animators. But the moment we got the trailer this season I was hyped for this, cause they had a brief shot of Grog dropping mixed in there somewhere. We got another quote that became a bit of a meme in the community this episode “At dawn, we plan!” XD and we got the reveal of Kaylee, I can’t remember if Scanlan’s player had come up with the idea or if it was something like “Scanlan’s been around a long time, he has kids out there somewhere” and Matt surprised him with it. But it’s the start of a surprising and great arc for Scanlan and I can’t wait to see how they handle it in future seasons.

Oh nice! I'm so glad this moment lived up to the hype for you for the most part! Hahahaha I love that quote/meme! Oh wow!!! That must have been quite the surprise!!! I'm excited to see more about it too!!
