Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo Part 4, episode 7!!!  OMG!  What a Stand, that mannequin/voodoo thing was crazy!  So was the guy controlling it, sheesh!  I kept expecting there to be a deeper or another explanation, but no....he was just a jerk :O
I love how Josuke and Koichi teamed up in this one though!  From the locker scene to the train scene, I am loving their sweet friendship and teamwork!!!  And once again at the end, we see Jotaro in a life or death position without even knowing it!
Good thing Josuke thought ahead lol.  And we still need to deal with the bird!!
Great ep!!  Can't wait for more!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Once again I am on the road since it is monday, so this comment has been entirely pre-made. = v= So fun fact! The manga did go through an art style change throughout the manga as Josuke did look more like a thug at the beginning of Part 4 before we get the Josuke we see by the end of the arc. Since you're watching the anime, they just use that final design as the base design for the entire anime. So when the Tamami was introduced in the manga, he actually seemed a whole lot taller until his defeat, in which he shrank in size considerably after he get 'humbled'. It's nothing to do with stands, and just more kind of for the lols on Araki's part. To show how that big tough thug who seemed so big and tough turned out to be a paper tiger smaller than Koichi. ...But in the anime, just like with Josuke, they used his final design as the base design. It just seems so much more like a fair fight instead of this huge uphill battle. Like in the manga he might seem like he *could* be trouble for Josuke, but in the anime Tanami rightfully doesn't seem like he could stand a chance against Josuke, but managed to outsmart Okuyasu because he's a dummy. XD It goes from hoping desperately Koichi can find a way to stand a chance, to hoping he realizes he can put up a fight against this, which he does when the situation called for it. Still a good episode for Koichi. So did you notice the Dragonball Villain reference Echoes is Imperfect Cell(the first form!)... Of course it's a much more wholesome version of him. Let's talk about the stands we see this week! We've got Reverb, which is actually called 'Echoes', a reference to Pink Floyd's song. The Lock is actually much like The Hand, in which it's not named *directly* off it's reference, doing the official english sub's job for them. xD The Lock is actually a reference to 'The Rock', a song by the band The Who. It's such a jerk-ass stand since it'd be ineffective against people like Tanami who may not feel guilty about some terrible stuff they've done. It's just a stand meant to pick on weaklings, and that's terrible. >:c And last we have... Show-Off, which is Surface, which is the name of an American Band... As for voices....Well I though this was going to be a skip week, but I have some information for you apparently? ...I'm going to assume these two were a part of the Stage Hazards in the PS3 Game and the Eyes of Heaven PS4 game(since it's the same studio or at least same assets), or were a part of the options menu. Tanami was played by Kazunari Tanaka in All Star Battle/Eyes of Heaven, but unfortunately he had passed away in 2016. :c He plays mostly small roles, which would probably explain why they hired him for the game, since Tanami is not a playable character. He played Tamaki in Code Geass. As for his actor in the anime, it's Satoshi Tsuruoka, who's played Muraki from Mob Psycho 100, and Plays Balrog from Street Fighter IV on(though technically his name is M.Bison over there in Japan.). He also played that vampire that ended up jobbing to Lisa Lisa in Part 2: Battle Tendency, Beck Wire, to show how much she kicked ass. Toshikazu Hazamada is also voiced by Taiki Matsuno in the PS3 Game, who's now the Japanese voice of Spongebob. He also voiced Koga from Inuyasha, Agumon(specifically Digimon Savers Agumon), and plays Jun Manjome who in the English dub of Yugioh Abridged... Is named Chazz. As for his voice in the anime, it's Hiroki Shimowada. He voice Toboe from Wolf's Rain, and Tivey Pearlbaton from Re:Zero. Do not look up Tivey Pearlbaton, you *can't* handle the cuteness. Hazamada also goes through a size change in the manga, being bigger and tougher looking at first, but shrinking after defeat. It made more sense with Tanami, but it's weird they did it with Hazamada too, like right after Tanami. It doesn't really matter though since Hazamada by himself wasn't really a threat, it was just Surface that was the threat. BTW, you should probably make a count of how many stand users were made by Red Hot Chili Pepper compared to Okyuyasu's brother. XD

Hey, good luck and safe travels, and WOW, thank you so much for prepping his ahead of time!! XD Interesting, I'd love to see what Josuke looked like at first! I can't picture him as a thug type (well, a little bit maybe, because of Knuckle haha) - he seems so neat and cleaned up you know? That makes sense that they'd just go ahead and adopt the later version of Tanami too! It doesn't sound like the visual changes held much weight, it was more or less Araki having fun. No I actually didn't notice the Cell reference, that's awesome though! That's interesting that there were actually slightly higher stakes in the manga. Lol poor Okuyasu!! Very cool on the song references! I didn't know Surface! That's interesting about the voices! Aww sad about Tanami's VA :( That's quite a resume though! OMG the way I knew just the vampire you meant haha, what a moment. I friggin love Battle Tendency!! Spongebob?!?! No kidding haha! Ok since I'm stubborn like a mule you know I had to look up Tivey Pearlbaton and OMG <3 So cute!!! I'm kinda not surprised they would do the size thing with Hazamada too, although it doesn't fit quite as well as it did with Tanami like you said. Oh well! Ooooh good call, now that Chili Pepper's got the bow, I guess we need to keep tally :O

Hi Hime :) Now that we're in a "slice of life", more than just enemies looking to kill you, you have scammers and incels, quite a change lol. Moreover, small details (no pun intended), but if I remember correctly, Tamami and Hanazama are of a normal size during their presentation in the manga, but with the evolution of the mangaka's style in during this part, their design will evolve and they will end up being as small as Koichi. In the anime, they are presented directly under this size. For Echoes, let's say that indeed echoes is generic, but there is a peculiarity that you will see in the next double episode, which explains why they changed the name anyway (and what in dragon ball it refers to). The girl from the opening you see in the episode is called Yukako, you'll see her better in the next double episode, but she's the one who inspired another Hunter X Hunter character, can you guess who during these episodes ? Her voice might also sound familiar to you, it's Mamiko Noto who was playing Kalluto, Killua's younger brother who had joined the spider (in a kimono, very effeminate and using paper). But for my part, I mainly know her for the role of Yukino in the Mai Hime/Otome saga, being my favorite anime, the role of Aria in Saint Seiya Omega, Elsa in Re-Zero, Rinko in the law of Ueki and recently Prospera in Gundam The Witch from Mercury. I often confuse her voice with that of Hayami Saori, who did Yor in Spy X Family or Shinobu in Demon Slayer. They both have the habit of doing roles of reserved female characters, badass or even with a touch of madness, which doesn't help me to distinguish them lol.

kamenriderhime

Hi Spadeas! :) Lol yeah, it's not just death we have to be afraid of anymore, apparently! Yes, I've heard about the size changes, that's interesting! Ohhh I think I know the Dragon Ball reference you mean! It's funny you mention the girl, because as I was syncing the files I was thinking how much she looked like Palm!! Ohhhh no kidding that her VA is Kalluto's too!!!! Wow, she has quite the resume! It's interesting how some VAs have similar tones/ranges isn't it? I get confused sometimes too! Lol reserved with a touch of madness, that does describe quite a few female anime characters actually hahha!!!

It's pretty much a Stardust Crusaders version of Josuke, with him being slightly bigger and well built. xD Though what we got at the end of the manga/throughout the anime is pretty fine. o: It just felt like there were higher stakes, like even if they didn't use their stands to fight Tanami looked so much bigger than him, so it's just a case of 'You gotta figure out your stand, Koichi!" in the manga. xD Oh! two things: 1. Police(the dog) is a reference to 'The Police', the band. 2. Here's a head's up: Chances are you might need to throw in an extra episode either next week or the week after. There's a stand alone episode after the two parter next week, before it's followed up by another two parter. This standalone episode also has the last of Araki's pupper brutality. Once you're past it, this series won't kill another dog before your eyes. ...Though can you imagine if Araki was like: "You know what? I shouldn't use the dog trick to show how evil my villains are." And then switched to using the same trick but with cats instead? xD

Hello Melissa, welcome to Koichi´s bizarre adventure. He is our little Polnareff in Part 4. You might think he's the main character. At first i want to address your cute Joseph figure. She is so sweet and adorable. I'm curious to see what other Jojo merch you've bought. I also bought merch from each part. It just feels so nice to own something from your favorite anime and at the same time support the author by buying it. Koichi is a very cool Jobro, not my favourite but also not bad (he can be annoying sometimes). His stand Echos is a very special one (you will see it in the next view episodes). Koichi also reminds me a lot of Kakyoin. They both wear a green school uniform, are good friends with jojo and have to gain the trust of their family/friends in one episode (callback to Death 13). Let's see if there will be more similarities between the two?🤔🤣 oh I almost forgot to mention, that you sadly didn´t see that they add Koichis stand in the Op in Episode 7. I think you will see it next time:)

First, how big is Hamazada’s school locker? I know from personal experience I never would’ve been able to fit all that inside mine… For some reason I got Terminator 2 T-1000 vibes off the Stand in this episode. Oh, if the girls aren’t giving you the time of day, do you think it might have something to do with your personality? Also I’m not sure, but I’m wondering if Koichi’s stand has more independent autonomy than they realize - since he was only semi conscious when they wrote the squish on his head. Also, the radio thing is starting to feel like a trope. Speaking of which, now that we’ve put mechanical pencils on the “get away from me” list - you his all yours after that episode, didn’t you? - who knows what they’re gonna do next, But what’s the enemy’s REAL notice behind all these shenanigans? Hmmmm…. 🤔

Manny

Koichi is really is MVP man. He’s really killing it. Even though he got his stand by other means it’s as if he was made to have one. He’s a natural. That Hamazada guy reminds me of an Edna Mode and O’Hare from the Lorax movie; in both personal and appearance.

Manny

I was thinking the same about Kakyoin and Koichi. I think I figured out my type of character through this show.

kamenriderhime

Ohhh interesting! I'd be curious to see! I really like his design in the show too! I can see how it would be slightly higher stakes that way. Ohhhhh of course the dog is a reference to The Police!!! Hahaha can't believe I didn't catch that. Okay I'm having some mixed feelings here because my first thought reading your next paragraph was "YAY AN EXTRA JOJO TO WATCH!!" and then I saw the pupper part :((((( But it's great to know that this is FINALLY the end of the pup brutality!!! OMG.....please don't tell me he's switching to cats.....I can already see it starting, between the cat scene during the Dio fight and the fake cat in the bag here....!!!!!!!!!!!!!

kamenriderhime

Hey Bellana! He was definitely giving main character vibes here! Awww I'm so happy you like my Joseph figure! He's soooo cute, I get to look at him on my desk while I write all my comments haha. I did some shopping and still have quite a few things in my cart haha, I'm so happy you're excited to see what I got! I can tell you that I'll be wearing one of the things I got in my next reaction XD XD XD It is a nice feeling to be able to buy merch to support the franchise and also show off love for the fandom! So cool that you got merch from each part too! It's so cool that you have the earrings XD I like Koichi too! Oh I'll be curious to see how he can be annoying lol! Manny and Bellana - I can totally see how Koichi is like Kakyoin! I wonder what other similarities there will be! Manny - the sweetie pies really stand out don't they! Bellana - I can't wait to see his Stand in the OP!!!!! ^_^

kamenriderhime

Hahaha maybe lockers are bigger in Japan? :P Oh yeah, I can see the Terminator vibes a bit! Yeah seriously, like at some point you've gotta look inward you know??? That's a good point about Koichi's Stand, he barely seemed to know it had done what it did. The radio show!!! I'm starting to get tense every time I hear it haha. OMG, I could not look at a pen for a while after this reaction!!! I know, I'm so curious to know what's really going on!

kamenriderhime

He's the best!!! I know, he's really handling it well so far. Ohhhh I could see that hahahaha!!!! Good call :D

Senpai

It might seem like he did, but I assure you he is not going to switch up by using cats.

kamenriderhime

Oh good!! Here's hoping he won't switch to any animal!!! I feel like he already flirted with the idea of squirrels back in Part 2...... o.O

Senpai

OH Almost forgot: You can see a hint of how big Hazamada was at first in the manga by taking a look at the Photo Tanami had of him in the beginning.. I noticed it watching your reaction yesterday. xD
