Hey everyone! I'm back with season 2, episode 6 of Legend of Vox Machina!  OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  You guys, first off, I LOVE the sphinx once we got to know him and can't believe what happened!!!!!  Second, that song was FIRE!!!  Definitely need that on the iTunes!!!  Third.........WHAT THE HECK!!!!!!!!!!  Oh man, I knew we were headed for something really bad with this whole sword thing, but wow, this just went the worst way imaginable!!  And what's even worse is that our crew is split up now!
Jeez!!!  Can't believe we're at the halfway point already!  Cannot wait for more!  Great ep - enjoy!  ~ MH

Hi Hime :) You say it, Kiki's powers make you think of Avatar and for a good reason, it's done on purpose. From what I heard, Marisha (her voice actor), is a big fan of Avatar and so they created the Ashari especially for her. The aramante also representing the journey of the Avatar to master the four elements. Percy saying he is very flammable is so true with all the gunpowder he has on him lol. I think you are getting to know me now I'm always here when it comes to lesbian love so when I saw Allura and Kima kissing I squealed in my chair lol. Scanlan hurting the heart of the Sphinx is such a good idea. Since he is "the weakest" of the group in terms of physical strength, even if he has his magic, but he is also the one who opens up the least emotionally and is often the ones who have the most difficulty in express themselves and hide a lot of things in them (you can feel how much I recognize myself in it lol). So the weaker one being able to hurt the Sphinx because he doesn't attack him physically but emotionally, that's always a good point (and yes the song is very good too). So let's recap, after Vax's death, Kiki's disappearance into the Plane of Fire and now the group separated and Pike pierced by Grog's sword... Yep, that seems to be it. You understood that the whole season was going to hold this kind of scene for you and believe me, they are good in their cliffhanger to make you want to see what happens next. You're only halfway there, so keep your seatbelt fastened, 'cause it's not going to calm down anytime soon.

You should probably think of Craven Edge (Grog’s sword) with similar properties to the One Ring, in the sense that it wields great power and strength, but that power has a price. And it’s getting impatient… Obviously a highlight of the episode is Scanlan actually being the hero instead of a sidekick… by wounding the Sphinx not physically but emotionally. Because sometimes that actually cuts deeper. And it’s kind of funny how everyone wakes up and is like “what world IS this?” where he’s the big savior? Grog was getting asked by Pike about his sword but he deflected by picking up Scanlan and putting him in a carry bag. It was funny but it also got Pike off topic. He really doesn’t want to discuss it. Speaking of things he doesn’t want to discuss, there’s that whole thing with the Mythcarver revealing a lot of people who look like him… and that whole arena flashback at the start. You have to wonder what Ripley’s angle is in all this, but that can wait… because right now the crew is split up, and the healer is on a… pike. I had to… 😂 Everything’s terrible, peril is everywhere, the tension is high, and it all hinges on the next Dice roll. Are we having fun yet? Anyway I must be REALLY tired so I need to go. There’s a con to get to! (PS: Saw Grif and Simmons’ VA’s host part of opening night today. 👍)

Wow this one really brought a tear to my eye. The song, the quick bond with Scanland and Kammi & of-course the ending. Dammit I thought this was going to be a feel good episode but dammit when that dragon showed up. Man things really get ugly quick on this show. It’s fun but you can never escape the panic and worry. I’m even more worried since they split up. It didn’t realize till the credits rolled that the groups split and Pike hurt (hopefully just hurt) is vital on her survival. Grog is going to feel so bad if she’s gone :,(

Hi Spadeas! :) Ohhh no kidding, I was right haha! That's so cool! Awww the kiss was sweet! Percy wasn't joking lol! Scanlan really shined bright here didn't he! I love the idea that he has the least raw power but was able to hurt the "heart". The song was so good! WOW what a cliffhanger!!! I have a feeling I'm really in for a wild ride for the next half of the season!!!

Ohh I can see the similarities for sure. I love Scanlan's story here! LOL I know, no one could believe it! That was a funny moment with Pike and Grog but also served a purpose too. Oh yeah, what was all that about with the flashback, other people of his kind, etc.??? NOOOOO too soon lol!!!!! But yeah, I'm curious what Ripley's up to. Oh yeah, everything is crap, and you know I'm dying to see what happens next! Hope you're having an awesome time and WOW, that is so cool about Grif and Simmons' VAs and opening night!!! I know right?! It was very emotional! Seriously, that tide turned so fast! OMG, I know, like the one person to take out, our HEALER :O And also Grog will not be able to go on if she dies!!! I honestly don't know where they're going with this but I'm so invested!!!

So this is another big change from the campaign. In the game they all made it to the Fey realm, they decided to split the group here to give the animators a bit of a break cause it’s a lot of work to animate a group of 7 people on screen.
