Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo season 2, episode 47!!!  OMG!!!!!!!!!  Jotaro only needed to know he was slightly able to resume time inside Dio's Stand - I knew if he could just have 5 minutes to master it, or even just to get inside Dio's head, he could make this work!!!  But WOW there were some moments that were just way too tense - like the playing dead scene with Polnareff, ugh!!!  Dio just thinks too much on the same wavelength as someone as clever as Jotaro, and oh yeah, speaking of which, their Stands are REALLY similar!!!  Hmmm...!!  I was excited at first when I had the epiphany that Joseph might not really be dead, but with the whole blood-draining thing, it's probably not the time to celebrate lol.  We had Dio on the ropes, what the heck!!!!!!!!!!!!  Guess we'll find out what happens in the next one...!!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Well... It's a BIZARRE adventure. Everything possible. Stand is exist in Jojoverse after all. At this point, I would hope that this is once again Joseph's prank.

And now we have the birth of a new Jojo tradition...LETTING BIG BAD INTERRUPTING THE OP DURING THE CLIMATIC BATTLE! I honestly kind of wish I saw it happen live like most people, but even if I was keeping up with Stardust at the time... I'm a guy who skips the OP after seeing it once. xD ...Though hard to feel the hype from that when DIO is busy killing protags left and right like he's checking off a list. :c At least in Kakyoin's final moments, he managed to shine as brilliant as an emerald... Though Joseph wasn't the only one who saw Kakyoin's message. During this final battle, Hol Horse had taken Boingo from whatever hospital or part of DIO's mansion they were recovering in, and are just booking it out of there. With Kakyoin's death, I can fully talk about the Hol Horse spin-off manga. In this manga Hol Horse has been tasked with capturing or killing off Pet Shop's brother(Pet Sounds, named after a Beach Boys Albums) who had been suspected to have shown up in a little town in Japan called Morioh. Boingo ends up being sent with him, however like I've said in an earlier post he ends up tossing away his book... And the person who happens to find it is none other than Kakyoin's cousin, who's looking to find out the truth behind Kakyoin's death. While the book guides Kakyoin's cousin to find the truth, the fact that Pet Sounds in Japan means that *someone* is putting the bird to use... It's a good(and short, like pretty much only 2 manga volumes) read, and while it *does* take place right before the start of Part 4... I would recommend watching it *after* Part 4 since it does contain some spoilers for early part 4. ...Also the spin-off was made REALLY recently, so don't expect the anime to allude to it. 😂 Also if it helps you feel any better... Think about when DIO was trolling Polneraff on the Stairs. Now... DIO has a precious few seconds(he can't even last to the double digits) to pause stop. So DIO had to stop time, RUN downstairs, quickly move Polneraff down a step, then RUN back upstairs to get back into his pose before time resumed. Just think about the amount of work he had to put into this just to troll this dude. 🤣

Hi Hime :) For the next Jojo you talked about a son of Dio or a secret brother of Jotaro... Without saying too much and you'll find out soon, but you're not that far from the truth. Your reaction to Dio stopping time in the theme was perfect because you were taken by surprise, we all were at the time and believe me on words, you will have to pay attention to the theme approaching the end of the next parts, because they're all going to have a twist like that. Speaking of the theme, and now that you know that The Wold (Za Warudo written in Japanese) can stop time, you mentioned it about the gears present in this one, which of course evokes the mechanism of a clock , but you also have the pendulum at the very beginning and at another time with the silhouette of the Egyptian deities. You also have 4 scenes with silhouettes: 1 - Polnareff with Iggy and Avdol on the stairs. Iggy and Avdol are lower in the image to show that Polnareff is leaving them behind, but for a moment you see the stairs move backwards to evoke the passage where Polnareff thinks of climbing them and finds himself lower. 2 - You see Kakyoin with lines crossing the screen which suddenly are all destroyed at once. It is on the scene where Kakyoin uses his barrier which is destroyed by Dio. 3 - You see Joseph with a line that suddenly points to his throat. Dio throwing the knife. 4 - Jotaro with multiple lines appearing and pointing at him. The scene where Dio throws a bunch of knives at Jotaro. That's why people love the openings of Jojo, they're spoilers that if you don't know the series, they aren't, but once you've seen the series, when you see them again you say to yourself "oh that's what it refers to". You were spared a bit anyway, at least the studio spared us. Normally in the scene where Dio asks the senator to roll on the sidewalk, we see him doing it in the manga and the old anime. There, we just have the right to see the car covered in blood. Now a few things I find fun to parse between Dio and Jotaro. Dio discovers that he can stop time when to train he asks to be shot at him, Jotaro to demonstrate the speed of Star Platinum in the very first episode, shoots himself and stops the bullet in mid-flight. For me, but it's interpretation I specify, Dio and Jotaro have the same power but for different reasons. Dio is a vampire, he has literally stopped his own time, he will never grow old. Jotaro has spent the whole adventure chasing time, to save his mother, and now that she is at death's door, he would like to stop time to be able to save her. I don't know if it's intentional on the part of Araki, the manga author, but I find this idea really interesting from a storytelling point of view. Ah and about the ending, I remember hearing you say something about the fact that since we don't see him and he takes time to heal, Dio gon' hit us with a "it ain't my final form yet". You said that in a joking tone, but now that he's sucked Joseph's blood, he's actually changed form lol. You see, you said that Jojo had corrupted you, but it may be for the best lol. Now that you are nearing the end of this part, you also see why he was able to leave such a mark on many creators in Japan, in manga as well as in animation or video games. The concept of the stands, the strategic fights, the plot twists, the heroes who die that make you doubt whether a character will stay dead or come back later. This is what has inspired many authors, who in turn have inspired others. Togashi the author of HxH is a fan of Jojo, but Akutami the author of Jujutsu is a fan of HxH, it's a passing of the torch that will continue to live and with the anime of Jojo, many people will still be influenced.

This will be a little bit quicker than I’d like as I’m pressed for time, but finally caught up! As far as my thoughts on the episode… …First, did you really say somewhere during this session that DIO couldn’t possibly do any more damage…? 😂 Oh, and by the way, his reference to the flight attendant when he was yelling at the woman to bring his leg… he’s acting like an irate airline passenger, that’s the joke. This whole episode was two things: one, it was a recess fight - I thought we got nutty before but it’s like “YOU did this so I did this on a ridiculous level.” Then there is the other aspect… man, I thought Bond villains were bad about this… but I swear, this whole episode was DIO monologuing, which is why it was hilarious when you asked if he was talking out loud. The answer is always yes. Speaking of which, has he gotten to Palpatine level for you yet? Just checking again. 🙃 He was after Joseph’s blood for the entire time, but what does it mean now that he has it? Also, I see you came to the same epiphany I had about the confirmation screen last episode. “The last episode will be an epilogue…” Yeah, right. More like an EPIC-logue. And there’s no telling what’s going to happen. 👀 Only one episode remains!

OMG it was totally like that - Dio is absolutely that kid on the playground going "nuh uh, cause I can DO THIS" hahaha. LOL I mean, I had to stop and ask about the monologuing cause I'm like, is he honestly dumb enough to be giving away all this info?! The answer is yes :P Okay I've certainly not built up the same slow burn hate for Dio as I did for Palpatine, which basically spans my entire lifetime, but Dio has done the speed run to getting on my crap list by killing animals and people I love soooo....I'd say they're pretty close :P Now that I know about the blood, it makes total sense, and I even questioned whether or not they'd mentioned it before because getting a Joestar's blood is actually the perfect way to finish his transformation or whatever. LOL the epiphany kept me from not being able to get out of bed for like several days after watching this :P At least there's some hope! EPIC-logue, I like that!!!!!!!!!!! One ep to go!!!!!!!!!

Hi Melissa, I'm a little late this week as I flew to another Greek island to meet up with my parents and little brother. so it was a bit stressful. but today I finally found the time to look at your jojo reaction. First things first, we lost our beloved cherry boy. May you rest in peace my darling🍒❤️. His death is just as tragic as that of the Zeppeli family. Kakyoin sacrificed his life as much as they did for the Joestar family in giving them an important clue against the enemy😭. The worst will be telling his parents about His death. They don't know where Kakyoin is and they think he ran away from home. I don't even want to imagine how they feel about it. Dios Stand, The World or as he pronounces it ZA WORLDO😅 is one of the strongest stands in the Jojo Universe. If I'm honest, I'd also want the ability to stop time (can be useful in certain situations). We already know that Dio likes to play with his victims and has long monologues. But in this fight he really enjoys watching Jotaro suffer. We haven't given up on Joseph yet, and the show itself hasn't confirmed it either. So keep your fingers crossed. The changes in the OP are so fantastic. It happens so unexpectedly that you can't process it at first. Spadeas has already named all the Easter eggs in his comment. But there will be a few more in the last episode. Be curious 😉. By the way, the second season of Vinland Saga ended this week. What I can say is that this season is a masterpiece and far exceeds the first season in terms of character development and atmosphere. I hope you find the time to form your own opinion and experience this masterpiece for yourself. I've never thought about something like that, but your interpretation makes sense to me and I've been in the Jojo community for over 2 years. You're welcome, I was in the jojo community even before this anime existed (it was announced in 2010 or 2011, I don't remember exactly, for a start in 2012), which is to say that I had the time to reflect on lots of elements of the series ^^.

that's awesome. I've known Jojo since 2016 but didn't watch it at the time because I was only interested in romance animes and Jojo was way too weird for me. Also, the many controversial comments made by the anime community on the anime put me off watching Jojo. But after my brother's recommendation in 2020, I gave Jojo a chance and haven't regretted it to this day. Today Jojo is one of my favorite animes next to Vinland Saga. I've also read parts 7 and 8 and love them a lot too. Are you currently reading part 9 and if so how do you like it so far?

OMG!!! That's a new tradition now, wow!! Awww I hear you, if I wasn't reacting I may have been tempted to skip it too. Especially since in the past we only get something new on the last episode's opening. I know, we're losing people like crazy!! No kidding about Hol Horse seeing Kakyoin's message too, that's awesome! I really need to read that manga!!! And yes, he did shine like an emerald!! WHOA, that's pretty intense about the plot!!! I didn't even realize Pet Shop had a brother! And Kakyoin's cousin investigating his death, that actually sounds really interesting. Is that considered canon by any chance? I'll definitely hold off till Part 4 if I decide to check it out! Oh sounds good about it being really recent and not referenced in the manga! HAHAHAHAHA that is such a crazy thought about Dio/Polnareff!!! Talk about going out of your way to be petty!!!! Lol!!! ABHB Ya-iba - thanks for the heads up! Due to scheduling this week I ended up recording the last ep a little early, so I've already seen it! I didn't notice a lot of new stuff though, just the sounds!!! You'll have to point it all out to me once we get there, if you wouldn't mind!

Hi Spadeas! :) Whoa, I'm happy I got close with my guess! That's so interesting about all the things they did with the theme!!! I was definitely surprised lol! That is AMAZING about all the hints hiding in the opening!!!! Wow!!! I do love how if you have no context, they're not spoilers....but once you know, it's so obvious!! Oh that's interesting that they censored that part a bit in the anime. Oh I love that idea about the different reasonings for Dio's and Jotaro's powers!!! Wow! That's really deep actually! Oh no, Jojo has truly corrupted me - I even predicted the final form!!! :O I absolutely love how the worldbuilding (no pun intended lol) has been done here, and how it's inspired so many other authors!!! It's truly a passing of the torch!!! I couldn't agree more about Jotaro being a total boss by stopping his own heart in this fight! Like, that's some real resolve right there!!

Dio does like to "play with his food" and he's just doing it to such an extreme here. I know, I realized at the end that we never got the death-text for Joseph!!!! :O It gave me hope lol! By now I've seen the last one - I had to rearrange my schedule this week so I saw it a bit earlier than usual. Needless to say I was not disappointed!!! But I didn't notice too many changes in the opening besides the sounds - maybe you could point them out to me! I love the other Easter eggs in the opening! Oh, I've been hearing a lot about Vinland Saga season 2!! I really want to get back to it eventually - it's just hard when I'm trying to keep my schedule manageable!!! Most would probably consider it canon, though I just don't like the placement of this story since it makes it a little dubious whether if it's canon or not because I feel like it gives the Part 4 protag a little *too* much information about stands and DIO before he should. ...But it's placement gives another character a chance to shine. It's called "Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak".
