Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to Demon Slayer season 3, episode 10!!!  OMGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!  An entire episode devoted to my new favorite character, my magnificent Mitsuri!!!!  Her backstory was tragic in its own way, and I loved the message about being yourself and using your traits/strengths for good.  She's just sooooo lovely I can't stand it ^_^  I have no doubt she'll mop the floor with this demon!  Also, what on earth was that statement about the demon crest all about???
Meanwhile, the rest of our gang is trying to literally play whack a mole with this tiny demon, whose back story seems imminent.  Next one is the finale!!!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

So, it does seem like Mitsuri has had her own issues to deal with - considering the time-period this is set in and it’s culture of male dominance, it’s interesting to see things from the mind of a female thought process, even though I’m obviously not one. Of course the concept of the Love Hashira’s struggle to find herself is something anyone can relate to. But isn’t it telling that as much as she’s searching for love, the most difficult person to love for Mitsuri is in fact, herself. It also might be a little jarring for everyone to see such a vibrant female personality in this era so it throws a lot of traditional concepts off. So Genya is a demon cannibal… I’m not even sure I WANT to know how that works. 😅 I thought it was kind of telling when at the end of the backstory before she snaps to her last line is “isn’t there anyone who will love me?” and then all of her friends knock her out of the way. She hasn’t realized it herself, she’s a little slow on the uptake - but everyone else already loves her just the way she is. I mean, I’m not in a relationship myself with anyone, but I can’t see anything appealing about someone suppressing their personality. You have to be you and know who you are first. It’s kind of like the issue Nora was dealing with. Two things - I do not recommend eating 170 Sakura rice cakes a day for eight months - that doesn’t sound healthy… And two, Mitsuri should pay no attention to that guy who turned you down - he’s the REAL loser here. All her friends are the big winners.

People often hide behind a smile. Her smile isn’t one that’s hiding anything, which is amazing. It’s an honest smile. But it goes to show how even the most genuine smile still has a despondent story behind it. It’s easy to love anyone but oddly it can be hard to do the same with yourself. But I feel like the slightest shift within her will have her going “Holy cow I’m awesome!” And not just because she’s kicking butt but because she’s an awesome person in-and-out and all around! 💗 🌷

That's so true and so well said! She's genuine, yet still has her cross to bear. I couldn't agree with you more, that's actually something I personally struggle with a lot - we're all willing to give a lot more slack to others than we are to ourselves. Hahaha yeah she was really unable to unleash/unlock her true potential once she realized that!!! Amazing!!!! Couldn't agree more!!

Exactly, up to this point we haven't gotten a female Hashira perspective, so it's interesting! I totally get how she's a bit ahead of her time in terms of vibrancy lol, but it's still an important lesson to learn to love herself first. That's such a great point, the one she needed to love the most was herself!!! Hahahaha yeah I have a ton of questions about Genya that I'm kinda scared to have answered :P That's so true, there's many people who love her for who she is!!! That scene was a great way to capture that fact. And I couldn't agree more that being with someone trying to suppress themselves doesn't sound fun for either party! It's very similar to Nora, that's true! Hahaha I mean, I'm already a big snacker so.....I'd just be bumping up the portions a bit more :P Isn't it worth it for pink hair?!!? So well said - their loss, our friends' gains!!!!!!!!
