Hey everyone!  I'm back today with Kamen Rider Geats episode 38!!!  WHOA!!!  As the world crumbles paart around everyone, and they lose their Rider powers, Ace gets in touch with his inner fox....!  And that's not the only one he gets in touch with - the scenes with his mom were so devastating and beautiful!!!  And guys, where do I even begin about the epic, nine-tailed form!?!?!  Ace is getting the hang of rewriting the fabric of reality....and now that it's up to him to rewrite it, I can't wait for what's next! Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

You know it's funny because people had heard about Boost MK 3 and Boost MK 9 for a while, but there's been arguments on whether if MK 3 was just another upgrade with Boost Mk 9 being the final form... Or if Mk 3 was the final form and Mk 9 was the summer movie special buckle... Nobody guessed that they were technically the same Buckle. 😂

Hi Hime :) I told you that you would feel at home as a fan of Naruto, the discussion with his internal "fox" like Naruto and Kurama or the tails during his transformation and of course the nine-tailed fox, that's it have commonalities. Without forgetting the fact that at the level of the belt, a circle shape can be seen and that during his henshin, Ace seems to open a door, which reminds me there too of how Naruto or another manages the power of Kyubi out of Naruto. By the way, his new gun is called QB9, so Kyubi 9 lol. I'm not sure Tsumuri agrees with the fact that she was created just to be a replacement for Mitsume... I hope she won't be just a damsel in distress for what follows, we saw her fight a little and she has character, I would like to see her try to resist Suel and the others. Samas betraying Niram was something I didn't see coming personally. But I don't think she's going to be that important, I can see her being betrayed in turn by Suel. The scene with Ace's mother is beautiful, but I couldn't help myself from being disturbed by not seeing the actress move her lips ^^'. Maybe the actress we see and the one we hear are two different actresses, but the choice not to do lipsynch disturbed me. Ace stopping the theme himself during the fight, because he has total control over what happens, was great. He's literally a god now, so it's gonna be hard to find an opponent for him. But there are still several things to consider: 1: How's it going with Ace's old vows? With the disappearance of Mitsume, is everything obsolete? Or will he continue to reincarnate and participate in the DGP. 2: We saw Ziin and Kyuun leave, but not Beroba or Kekera. Are they still on earth or did they leave before the other two ? For once, I don't have too many ideas on how the series will evolve, the next episode should give me a clue.

Ace has ascended to godhood, he was just casually walking on air, he told the theme song to shush, Geats is a damn god

I would assume Kekera and Beroba stayed. I think their final wishes were to let them stay alive long enough to see their respective riders fully realized

So, one thing started bugging me throughout the whole episode and it was something Suel said right after Ace started his little rage - Suel said the power of creation doesn’t always work the way you want it to, it is far more malicious. Granted, source and everything, but if that’s true… Anyway, the thing about Tsumuri got me thinking - Neon is basically an “artificially created” human being - who is to say the DGP didn’t do the same thing with Tsumuri? I mean, given everything else they’ve done on the show… Meanwhile it seems the producers are all backstabbing each other - although Suel and Niram both disappeared in similar fashion. Also we never followed up on a couple of troublemakers… so where are THEY? So I have an outlandish theory that this intention to create a new world is actually going to cause more havoc than benefit, and now I’m wondering if Ace isn’t going to end up being the hero of the story, but the final boss instead. I haven’t seen as many KR series as you, but… is that a route they could take? Because they definitely laid a few bread crumbs for it… anytime ANYBODY has the power to “remake the world,” it’s literally asking for trouble. Even if the intentions are noble. (Ironically enough, Michinaga falls into a similar category with this now that I think about it.) Does the DGP still have a role to play, or is everyone gone? And more importantly, who’s cleaning up this mess when it’s all over? 😂

My issue with Keiwa's development is that there is a weird balancing act between his serious development and his comic relief moments. Expecially when this show is trying to equally distribute screentime amongst at least three other characters. He's not getting enough screen time to balance the two different treatments to his character and it is kind of throwing off the pacing for me personally in terms to his "character arc"

The goodbye was beautiful to me. And interesting you made a point about the sky being the limit. Usually I’m more a “no don’t mess with a someone’s passing” and “sometimes dead is better” (you know the whole pet cemetery bit” but yeah the skies the limit here in Geats, so why not try and bring her back. Hm that’s interesting in this case. I mean I think he really could do it in this case.

Manny

Man I remember way back at the beginning thinking this was a solely Keiwa show. It’s interesting looking back and seeing how things turned out.

Hahahha omg!!! That totally fits! Oh wow, this is really it for Niram! He was morally gray wasn't he. Good note about the technicalities of the fight too. Oh awesome, I'll try and find the song!!! Thanks!

kamenriderhime

I can see that for sure, sometimes I do forget that he's technically supposed to be mad/serous because we've just seen him being goofy lol. Omg I know, I do remember when it seemed really obvious that he was the main character!!! Times change!

2023-06-10 19:01:26 It was so amazing <3 I hear you, I think it's more impactful that way sometimes too! LOL Pet Cemetery rules for sure!!! But yeah, technically, Ace can do literally whatever he wants, so it will be interesting to see where this goes!

Hi Spadeas! :) You were so right! Ohhh good call about the door as well! QB9, that's so clever!! I hear you, I'd love to see Tsumuri get in on the fight! Yeah I didn't see the betrayal coming either. It was a great scene!! You know, I have to think that the choice to not have her move her lips was intentional! Like she was telepathically communicating or something. But I can see how it would take you out of it! Stopping the theme was so awesome, he's literally in god mode! That's true, this kind of fulfills the original wish, doesn't it? Good point about Beroba and Kekera - Nick, that's a good point! Yeah I'm not sure where this is going either, guess we'll find out!!

Hmm, interesting point about Suel's line there. Well, that's a good point about Tsumuri too, was she actually created by them? Yeah I think this is it for Suel and Niram. But yeah, what happened to Beroba and Kekera??? Whoa, Ace being the final boss would be such a crazy twist!!! I don't think I've ever seen an ending quite like that on Kamen Rider! Oof, it is kinda similar to Michinaga's motivations actually! Who knows the answers to those questions!!! I guess we'll find out!!

Also while we’re on the path of character intricacies, the game masters weren’t touched on enough to me. Context shows that Girori/Glare genuinely cares about the riders to an extent and is happy to reward the winner with their ideal world because they worked hard for it. He ended up the way he did because every winner ended up being Ace every single time which pisses him off because he’s seeing other riders that had admirable ambitions and wishes never getting to realize their dreams. He intervened to get rid of Ace so that other riders can get a chance to make their dreams come true. Chirami is straight forward with only caring about ratings. Niram’s obsession with the concept of “real” is interesting to me because as Kyuun stated, everyone in the future enjoys life fabricated to their wants while Niram sees their lifestyle and to an extent, his, becoming ungenuine and hollow. He enjoys the “present” day because non of our lives were manipulated and fabricated to the degree of the future and he enjoys this through the abilities of the DGP. This is also why he let Buffa go the first time because he found out Buffa survived not through cheating but through his own will and anger which Niram acknowledges as real. He turned against Suel in the end because he learned that the DGP is as false, manipulative, and hollow as his old life and he doesn’t want the world he’s come to enjoy become twisted by them.

kamenriderhime

Yeah there is a lot of depth there, isn't there? It would be interesting to see it focused on more!
