Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo season 2, episode 41!!!  OMG..........I.......I can't believe what I just saw with Kakyoin!!!  I know we did this last time, where Jotaro had to fight for everyone's souls, but WOW, seeing Kakyoin trapped inside the doll did something to me!!!  Meanwhile Jotaro learned video games in 5 seconds, which I guess isn't surprising....but wow, I'm not sure it will even be enough against this guy!
This is bad - we've always wrapped things up in 2 eps, I'm scared they didn't resolve this and left me on a cliffhanger!!!  :O  I'm dying to see what happens next!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Hi Hime :) Beating people through a video game is what inspired the Hunter X Hunter Greed Island arc, but I also know of a reference to it in another manga I read, Zettai Karen Children, where two people play at a racing game and one of them spins his vehicle to throw the other. Another demonstration of Jojo's influence on Japanese pop culture. About Kakyoin, it's sad to see that he blames himself for being complacent and feeling relieved to be Dio's slave rather than die or fight. But without that, Kakyoin would never have met Jotaro there would not be part of the gang, all like Polnareff. Dio chose his "slaves" poorly, since the two are now among his adversaries. You didn't really react to that, but as young D'Arby says, when he was 15, his big brother tried to flirt with his girlfriend. Since they are 10 years apart, old D'Arby was 25 years old. The age of the girl is never said, but if she was the same age as the young D'Arby, it also gives another image to his big brother, in addition to being a cheat and a liar, we can add a predator... So it's probably just as well that he's almost a vegetable now ^^'. Jotaro is all about staying calm, taking hold of the mind games to the point that these opponents are the ones who panic and make mistakes. So let's trust him for the future, there are still enemies to defeat and even if it is no longer in the logic of the show that the Jojo beats all the enemies, he remains the MC.

So, what happened in the racing game is actually a tactic that was quite often applied in certain Mario Kart games - what D’Arby did is called a “glitch.” - All games have these. They’re not really “cheats,” but more like flaws in the overall design and programming of the game that you can exploit to your advantage. Also the rapid tapping might be a in-joke to people who used turbo controllers to hold down a button instead of rapidly pressing it instead. I find it rather presumptuous of Jotaro do give Joseph such a hard time about playing games when he’s never done it himself - but the whole “I’ve learned how to bat now” thing has somewhat psyched him out. The thing about baseball, as you know, is that there are nine innings - composed of three outs on each side. The caveat is that the team who bats second gets to go last. Which is why I was surprised Jotaro chose to bat first. This is important because, for example, if Jotaro scores a run (they’re called runs, not points, I’m pretty sure that was an oversight by the translation), and goes up 6-5 in the ninth inning, he would still have to pitch to D’Arby and get three outs to win the game afterwards. But if D’Arby scores a run in the bottom of the ninth to go ahead 6-5… the game ends immediately and D’Arby wins. There is no need to continue. Hello Melissa, my vacation in Greece is very relaxing and the food here is so good. But that doesn't stop me from watching your Jojo videos. So D'Arby Elder's name is Daniel J. D'arby and his younger brother is Terence T. D'Arby, both named after Terence Trent D'Arby who goes by Sananda Francesco Maitreya nowadays. He's an American singer and songwriter, his most famous song is "Wishing Well". I actually quite like Terence Darby as a character. Yes, he's a pretty weird person because of his creepy collection of dolls. But I like His design and that of his stand. I also like to play video games myself. I'm more like Jotaro though, it takes me a while to get used to the controls and I always play on the easiest difficulty 🤣. "Oh thats a baseball" is a popular Jojo meme that I knew before I saw Jojo. At the time I was wondering what the hell the show was about. To the scene with Kakyoin and Dio. I've seen the scene so many times but only today noticed that Dio is playing with his earring while whispering in Kakyoin's ear.😰. I got goosebumps right away and was disgusted. Dio has already shown in Part 1 that he is good at manipulating people and can use them for his purposes. His vampire skills help him. On the one hand I hate Dio like the plague, on the other hand his charm works for me too🫣. The next episodes will have good and bad surprises in store for you. Be prepared.😉

Poo he lost and we just got him back! Hm yeah Jotaro seems like a baseball guy to me. I think he’s got this. I don’t want to say it but he has to. I don’t think even Joseph has any experience in video games at all. ⚾️

I can definitely see how Terence has likeable qualities, but I completely know what you mean about the controls!!! I definitely hear you there! Oh I didn't know about the meme haha! Oooohhh I didn't notice that about the earring either, iccckkkk!!! That's true, Dio has always been able to manipulate, now he's got supernatural powers to enhance that. He does have the charm!!! Ohhh yes, I've seen that - I've watched some speed runs where people know all the right glitches and can finish a whole game in like 2 mins lol. That's an interesting reference about the turbo controllers! Yeah, I was kinda seeing where Jotaro was coming from until he revealed he actually didn't know how to play games either. Thank you for explaining baseball, quite honestly, aside from the nine innings, I knew none of that :O Hahaha this just turned into a sports anime!! LOL!!!! I would give anything to see a Joseph reaction video!!!! He and I have pretty similar reactions don' we :P I can't wait for the three parter, I'm filming it early this week partly due to scheduling and partly due to the fact that I'm DYING to see what happens next!!!!

Hi Spadeas! :) I can't believe I didn't pick up on the Greed Island similarities right away, you're so right! That's interesting that there's other anime that reference this too. I know, poor Kakyoin!!! That's true too, at least some good came of it. Dio truly did choose poorly in those cases. Ohhh I wasn't even thinking of the 10 year thing, was it all said in the same sentence? If so then I must have missed it, cause that does make it way worse! Yeah, I'd say he got what he deserved :P I know, I trust Jotaro for sure, even if things don't look good! That's true, he's still the main character!!!!!!!
