Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo season 2, episode 27!!!  WOW this was a fun one!  I felt like this should have been a super strong and hard to beat Stand...but it's all about the user I guess lol.  The fact that at every turn, the silly tragedy of Oingo just got worse and worse....it was pretty amazing to watch!  So the manga predictions come true no matter what....even if it's at the user's expense!!  Big time! It cracks me up that no one will ever know too!!!  Wow I needed this fun breather ep!  Can't wait for more!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Aaaaaaaand there's the second Nightmare on Elm Street reference. The trick that Polneraff does with the cigerette is a trick that one of the characters in Nightmare on Elm Street does... I think it was Johnny Depp's character, but I could be wrong. I just remember watching it after Jojo, so that part of the film stuck out to me. Also surprise, there's another ED just for this episode! 😂Funny you talk about spin-offs though, but this isn't the episode to talk about it... *yet.*

Hi Hime :) No no, it was Polnareff's cigarette that started the fire. It is said that a spark from a cigarette jumped into the trash can. Polnareff's remark, is just there to either show that he is reckless and therefore the opposite of Joseph in this case, or a kind of diversion of attention like "oh I wonder who could have done that". But anyway, there's not much to say about this episode, it speaks for itself, quite funny, at the expense of our antagonists, but it's for the best. You haven't gotten to the funniest episode yet, but you're getting there.

OHHHHH I knew I'd seen it somewhere!!! That's awesome! Hahah the ending was so good! Ooohhhh....is that a fact....!!! Can't wait to find out more!

Hi Spadeas! :) Ohhhh okay, that's what I thought! Thanks for clarifying! It's so good! I can't believe it gets even better than this lol, what a show! :D

I can't help but love when main characters are just out there living their lives, while a villain just takes himself out unnoticed in the background. 🤣

Also, here's translated(fan tranlated, mind you.) lyrics for the ED since your source didn't give you any, which I feel is a straight up crime: "You better believe it! I believe it! Oingo Boingo Brothers! I am Oingo I can transform~ My height, weight, and even smell Just like I imagine No one will find out, no one will catch on The god of creation: Khnum! I'm Boingo, I prophesize with manga~ It comes true without fail, there's never any mistake I'm very shy, so I'm always alone, though. The god of knowledge: Thoth Everything! Everything! Is gonna go great! Hasn't it so far? Once a prophecy appears, it's set in stone; there's absolutely no way to change it. If we act according to the prophecy... Everything will go great! Hasn't it so far? Oingo Boingo Brothers! Believe it! I believe it! Oingo Boingo Brothers! Don't get disheartened! 'Cause that's just how the cookie crumbles!" source: https://www.animesonglyrics.com/jojos-bizarre-adventure-stardust-crusaders/aku-yakukyousoukyoku-oingo-to-boingo

Apparently, Jojo heard about ALL of last week’s reactions and decided to give you a much needed break? So the manga Stand always predicts accurately it just doesn’t always do it the WAY you expect. “Was that really necessary killing the shop owner with a frying pan? A light tap would’ve been enough.” Me: Have you forgotten which show this is? 🤭 They said “someone left a cigarette in the middle of the road and it got into the trash.” And then Polnareff says “there’s some real jerks out there,” completely oblivious to what he did. Also is that sequence an “out of the frying pan into the fire” joke? So the manga was correct in the fact they drank the poisoned tea - but keep in mind the manga never showed them dying from it, since they ended up spitting it out. You know, I was thinking a lot of the same things you were this episode: “Do they recognize he’s not wearing his jacket?” And when he said I took it to the cleaners but didn’t have any money, my next thought was… so explain why you don’t have the jacket with you then…? Iggy seems to be chaotic neutral and is just causing problems for whoever is nearby… in this case his rambunctiousness worked out in our favor. Watching Polnareff make him eat five cigarettes is both funny and slightly disturbing, at this point I thought for sure they figured it out. Then we basically went Looney Tunes with the chain of events that led to the Orange exploding because I got some real Wile E. Coyote vibes - just me? The moral of this story is don’t smoke kids, cigarettes are bad for you and nothing good ever comes of them, whether you’re the protagonist or the antagonist. 😂 I guess you could say this episode was a… breath of fresh air? Okay I’ll see myself out. 😆

Hello Melissa, great reaction as always. This episode is one of my favorites, because it´s so funny and refreshing. It also shows that the crusaders are friends and do goofy things when the screen isn't on them. Just like Kakoyin and Polnareff having a secret handshake in the submarine, Joraro showing off smoking tricks just happens during the off screen traveling days. This makes me so happy! The five cigarettes scene was the first full scene I saw from Jojo. After that, I had to see the show. One small detail, which is easy to overlook, is that right after Joseph and Polnareff arrive at the hospital, Jotaro eats an orange. If Oingo had transformed his face back in time, the manga's prediction that Jotaro would have eaten the orange with the bomb would have come true.

A thousand blessings on your house for this!!! I'm kinda surprised they didn't translate it on Crunchyroll!!! Thank you so much!

kamenriderhime

Hey! Thank you so much! I agree, it's a fun one! It really is fun to think that there's stuff happening with them off screen! Oh wow, that scene makes quite the impression!! Ohhh I don't know if I caught that about the orange - omg!!! So Oingo and Boingo were really getting in their own way the whole time, wow! that was a close one!

LOL Jojo was my respite this week, imagine that! That's the thing, it's always accurate, just not how you'd think. LOL I guess I did forget for a second what I was watching :P Oh thanks for clearing that up about Polnareff, I had a feeling they were connecting it to him. LOL it's totally a frying pan to the fire joke, omg!! Lol there were lots of questions when it came to the outfit right?! I guess Joseph's radar was a bit off or something haha. OMG same, I thought for sure they'd figured it out!!! The cigarette thing was funny, tense, and kinda gross all at once! It was totally Looney Tunes from there :P Hahahha yes, this was one long anti-smoking ad!!!! Hahahaha noooo the pun!!!!! :P

Manny

Definitely not what I was expecting. But much needed. I felt like I was watching Looney tunes or something 😆
