Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo season 2, episode 22!!!  WHOOAAA!!  I never saw this twist coming, what the heck!!!  ABDUL!!!!!!!!  Not only is that the luckiest bullet wound EVER, but the fact that our whole crew knew about it.....ouch!!!!!!  Poor Polnareff!!!  And there wasn't even really a dad, wow!  I gotta say, they got me pretty good!  I'm so thrilled that Abdul is back on board now...but it does make me worried for who we might lose now that we technically haven't had a "death" on the team!

AS IF THEY'D KILL A JO-BRO OFF SO SOON. ;D This totally isn't Araki's impromptu Back-Up plan for not brining Hol-Horse into the group. This was totally planned from the start! ...But we ARE nearing the halfway point, so they better be careful... I don't think we're going to get a repeat of Abdul's miracle here. > >;;;; I don't know if Judgement's scenario here is a reference to any particular sort of movie... Like there's the whole Genie and the Lamp thing, but do note: The chapters containing this encounter all came out in 1990, Aladdin came out in 1992. The Stand's phrase: "HAIL 2 U" is a Prince reference to some of his song names: "Nothing Compares 2 U" "I would Die 4 U", while the design of Judgement himself? KAMEN RIDER, but mostly Shotaro Ishinomori's Kikaider series. As for his stand user Cameo, he's named after the American R&B Band of the same name. Poor Polneraff though. :c Left in the dark because his dumb himbo butt would've blabbed if he knew. ...OH, so before I go... In the OVAs, they combined the encounter with Justice and Abdul's return... Having Abdul's return being the turning point of the battle, and be the climatic finish for that batch of the OVAs. Also in the OVA they gave Enya the ability to change her appearance of a young, beautiful woman because there was a certain villain design they couldn't use in the OVAs because they didn't cover her arc. ...I'll point her out when she arrives. For now... It's time to take a trip under the sea! WHAT COULD *POSSIBLY* GO WRONG?! 🤣

Hi Hime :) You had the reference with Michael (Jackson), Prince and Lionel (Ritchie) for the chickens. A little reference like that, quite discreet, but very funny. I talked about Pet Sematary, in the movie you bury someone to revive them but they become kind of zombies. It's a little different, but I'm sure it was used as a reference here anyway. It's not really an illusion, it's clay puppets shaped by Polnareff's heart, that's why his "sister" is able to remember what she did when she was little, because Polnareff knows it . Which is again, an interesting idea since the stand doesn't attack itself at first. You will have other examples of stands that do not attack their opponent and you will see even more the inspiration taken by Hunter X Hunter as a result. The "Yes, I am!" is quite iconic, so iconic that there is a parody where Avdol is replaced by Barack Obama saying "Yes, We can!". This parody is almost 15 years old now, while the anime you're watching is just over 10 years old. All that to say that the Jojo community didn't wait for the anime to make memes. Another iconic element of this chapter is Avdol replacing Cameo's "Hail 2 U" with "Hell 2 U". The author seems to like good puns too. Moreover, concerning Cameo, its name refers to the R'n'B group bearing the same name. Finally, actually we hadn't had a submarine yet, but it's not just any, it's a yellow submarine lol.

So… remember when you were talking about big twists you didn’t see coming…? Yeah, we like to pull that sort of stunt on you from time to time. Of course, this wouldn’t be the FIRST time your subscribers told you someone was dead and not coming back… 👀 (LOL if looks into the camera could kill… and I have no clue what show you possibly could be referring to…) I get the feeling Stand users should stop hiding in plain sight, even though they definitely deserve their comeuppance it’s always, um, what’s the word… lacking in refinement? 🤣 But generally you can sum up the episode like this: you’re Polnareff, freaking out over the fact Avdol’s alive, and we’re everybody else. “Yeah, we knew already. Shall we go? Nice to see you again. 😎” I feel like that whole shpiel about shows giving you something at a cost needs to be applied to just about e writhing you’re currently watching though… If you know, you know. Anyway one can only hope that Polnareff learned his lesson… and regarding how Avdol managed to survive…? You said it yourself. “It’s Jojo.” Now here’s hoping that travel by submarine doesn’t get all, eh… washed up? 😁 As I said before, Season 2 doesn’t end next week, just this arc does, keep counting the episode numbers up. :)

Hello Melissa, thanks as always for the reaction. Yay Avdol is back. I have written all my exams for this semester and would like to get a ticket for Polnareffland, who wants to come with me? These episodes show really good character development for Polnareff. Although I think it's a bit mean of the others to lie to Polnaraff about Avdol's death. I imagine everyone sitting together in the hut laughing at Polnareff (Joseph in particular, I don't know how he was able to stay serious the whole time anyway). I love this YES I AM from Avdol. It's one of the biggest memes in the Jojo community. Fun Fact: The reason Avdol "died" so early is that Araki didn't know how to further tie his character into the story as he was only meant to introduce stands. Also, Magician's Red felt too strong and was to difficult to draw. However, the fans of the manga liked Avdol so much that Araki brought him back into the story. In my opinion, the reintroduction was also successful and the explanation for his survival of the attack was also logical. See you in the next Jojo Reaction. :)

Gosh darn it well now I feel bad for Polnareff in a completely different way. Ahhh! Avdol lives!!! Oh gosh didn’t see that coming oh wow I missed his leading qualities I feel like him and Polnareff are going to be good buddies from here on out🔥

OMG!!!!! That's true too, now Hol Horse doesn't have (as much) blood on his hands! That's the thing, this is awesome but feels like a really bad omen for everyone else! Oh interesting that this was before Aladdin! Ohhhhh I didn't catch the Prince reference! I didn't catch Cameo either! No kidding about the Kamen Rider reference! I know, poor Polnareff!!!! He is like a puppy!!! Omg, that's interesting about the OVAs! Wow! Ahhhhhhh I'm so scared for what comes next!

Hi Spadeas! :) Yay, glad I got the reference! This is a little different than Pet Sematary, but there are some similarities! Oh that's a good point about puppets vs. illusions. OMG the meme!!! There's no way they could have waited on the anime to do that though, they had to act fast haha. Lol that is a good pun! That's cool about the reference to the R&B group! Yeah, the way we're taking these Stand users out is not always something you could discuss in polite company :P Oh yeah, I can definitely see the similarities to another show I'm watching! Yeah, I mean, "It's Jojo" covers a lot here LOL! OMG!!! Yang would be proud! Gotcha, interesting that they split the story between two seasons that way but I see where it's headed now!
