Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo season 2, episode 18!!!  WOW.....this turned out to be a much needed breather I guess!!  Not that breathing was very easy in all that heat, but dang, once they put together the very obvious flaw in the Sun user's design....I guess you could say it was laughable?  Speaking of which, Joseph's language in this one just broke me, it was so hilarious!!!!  Well, I'm glad at least one of these fights proved to be on the easier side!  I have a feeling we'll need that short win with whatever's coming next!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Hi Hime :) Joseph is a big fan of pop culture, he read comics, is a fan of cinema and music. You will see other reference to this later. "It doesn't feel like an episode" is because it's a very short fight in the manga. The Sun holds on two chapters, where Lovers for example was in six chapters. Araki had done it on purpose, to do an intimidating stand, to put the pressure and raise the tension, so that everything fell flat once the stand was discovered. You have already seen it with Joseph in part 2, but Araki also likes humor and you have an example of a joke that he can tell us. Even if you haven't seen the funniest episode of this part yet, it's in the second part so you'll have to wait a little longer. For the user stand, his name is Arabia Fats and his name appears several years after the end of this part in manga, thanks to a game released on Dreamcast at the time. It's a reference to Fats Domino.

Yes. You got trolled. Big time. But that doesn’t mean you didn’t ENJOY it. I keep forgetting to say this, but I’m kind of disappointed Jotaro didn’t start humming “Bodhisattva” at the end of the last episode. Okay, so I should point out that they chose the route they did because the nations of Iraq and Iran are highly unstable in this time period, so they chose to bypass them and head for the UAE. The city they’re in at the beginning is most likely Dubai- which is basically one of the most thriving metropolises in the world today, and there’s a ton of money and power that courses through it. You wouldn’t be far off calling it the business center of the entire region. I know someone who actually spent several years there. Polnareff is a ladies’ man, but he’s also French - so the two go together, it’s one reason he’s always sweet talking the ladies. Joseph has a lot of funding to use thanks to his connections with the Speedwagon Foundation, but money isn’t everything, so you also have to be somewhat street and trade smart. Hence the whole bartering tactic. Lawrence of Arabia is an excellent film, however I would not recommend it as a substitute for learning how to ride a camel. Their goal was to go a day in the desert to a place they could rent a Cessna (private plane) - but with Joseph flying, is that such a good idea? Just to give you some clarification, 50 degrees C is 122 F, 60 is 140F, and 70C is 158F. The Stand user probably couldn’t hide behind the rock without being affected themselves. Your reaction when Joseph started swearing in English though - don’t worry we have more gems where those came from. Jotaro ended up breaking a mirror though, is that seven years of bad luck still? Too busy laughing at everything. They were laughing like they saw a really bad comment attempting to get a rise out of them. You know you’ve been trolled when the last line in the episode is Ba-dum-tss! Here comes the Sun, doo doo doo doo Here comes the Sun, and I say it’s alright… 😎 What, you didn’t get that reference? 😁

Hi Spadeas! :) That's awesome, I can definitely already see some evidence of it! That makes sense if it was a short fight! Lol, it definitely worked!! Omg, I'm so here for the humor!!! I can't wait to see more humor, it definitely helps balance things out! Ohhh no kidding about the Fats Domino reference! Another comment mentioned we might see him later, very cool about the game!! Thanks for all the info!

Hahaha it was a pretty good one! LOL, humming that would have been a nice homage! Oh interesting about the cultural climate at this time, and the resulting plot decisions. Wow! No kidding about Dubai! Polnareff is quite the charmer, it makes sense! It's cool that our group has some resources thanks to the Speedwagon Foundation, but you definitely have to know how to handle yourself out there too I guess lol. Hahaha no film in general, despite how good it is, should ever replace actually learning how to do something! :P True, Joseph doesn't have a great track record with planes! Ohhhh good call about the temperatures! Hahahha the swearing caught me so off guard and was just amazing! I think our crew was probably gonna hit some bad luck anyway, considering how things have been going! LOL they finished off with the noise and everything, really!!! I love that song, great reference!!!!!!! XD

Getting on the camels was a bigger accomplishment for Joseph than taking down Kars. Aw Man this episode did no favors for Joseph but had the best one liners of his whole career here. I get it but that was so anticlimactic. My head was spinning from the visuals that realizing it was all over felt so unreal. Smart elaborate play by the user. But yeah once you know it’s over. This was a very stressful and uncomfortably hot one to watch but it was a fun ☀️
