Hey everyone!  Here I am with Red vs. Blue, season 12, eps 1 - 4 plus journal entries!  Wow, those first three journal entries were a ton of fun and that last one was DARK!!!!  I'm anxious to see what's going on with Locus and our captured crew.  Meanwhile our crew is, well, they're doing their best!!!  Tucker is doing some high-risk-high-reward captaining, Grif is taking full advantage of his position, Simmons is a bit nervous, and Caboose contains the wisdom of the ages apparently!  I'm excited to build up a new crew too, it's fun to bring in some fresh blood!  I love Felix and I'm enjoying Kimball a lot too so far.  I believe in our red and blue friends, even if they do have some room for improvement!!!!!!  Can't wait for more!  Great eps!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

There’s a reason you like Katie Jensen off the bat without even realizing it, because we just added another VA. Her voice actress goes by the name of Barbara Dunkelman… who you may be somewhat familiar with from another show. 😉 As for most of the batch, it’s pretty much focusing on the different Reds and Blues attempts at organizing (yeah, I think we all saw this coming…) - and the exasperation Kimball (yes that is Ruby), and Felix are dealing with regarding them. On another note, it is somewhat interesting that Tucker was actually cleared enough to be on an actual mission while the others were playing “capture the flag,” which is, of course another callback. Can you imagine what it would be like if you met someone exactly like you? It wouldn’t actually really end up going that well. Also, Tucker has made decisions here that have actual consequences as people have died from his choices. Something that comes up often in war is what the risk is vs the payoff. And Felix isn’t wrong about them only being there because they want something. Not every rebellion is planned just from a noble cause. By the way the whole size scene in the cave is a bit of a gag on Star Wars - as you’re probably aware, quite often the good guys steal Stormtrooper uniforms. But what is happening here is that this show is calling out the fact they almost always get the right size. Also, the whole campaign at the end is pretty funny but the reason Tucker wins is the same reason things turn out such a mess in real life must of the time: he’s the perfect person because he actually doesn’t want the job. Read into that what you will. I’m just going to be over here with Felix eating one of Grif’s bacon-wrapped burritos and watching the carnage. Anyway: Without context or any form of spoilers, I can tell you there’s a lot of grinning going on on the other side of your reaction. Just remember what Grif said at the beginning: “the things that don’t seem to be important turn out to be really important.” You’ll understand soon enough. 😁

I have to command Tucker here. He’s really taking initiative and stepping up to the plate. Or trying I guess. But man Caboose does have a way with words. I’d follow him anywhere. Oh captain, my captain. 🖖😐

kamenriderhime

Lol yes that is true! Omg Caboose, I'm right there with you, I'd follow his every command!!! He's so full of wisdom apparently :D

kamenriderhime

Ohhhhh I knew she sounded familiar! You're right, no wonder I liked her right away!!! Lol should be interesting to watch our crew try and get it together, while Kimball and Felix try not to lose patience with them. Good call on the capture the flag callback, but yeah, Tucker was actually given the go ahead to be out on a mission! Maybe all the training with Wash paid off? Hahah I'd like to think we'd hit it off if I met my doppleganger but then again, sometimes folks can be too much alike! Which is probably what's gonna happen here. Yeah, Tucker is learning all about what real war is like. And that's a good point that not everyone is there for noble reasons in any war/rebellion. LOL that was such a good Star Wars gag!!! Hahah wow, never thought about the irony of that with Tucker, but I can see how one could read into it! A front row seat with bacon wrapped burritos sounds pretty good! Oooohhh I can't wait to know what you mean!!! Now I'll be overanalyzing every detail :P

2023-02-18 05:41:02 These episodes are great and so was your reaction. The journals are just fun that fit the characters until it isn’t. The last one is creepy but also really interesting. Seems like Locus for whatever reason is very interested in Washington. The one thing I will say is that Locus is a favorite character of mine. The training exercised in the 1st episode was a disaster but a good way to learn a little about the soldiers they are trying to help. I love Grif’s moment with the colors the angry movements were hilariously perfect. The funniest part was Caboose just firing wildly LOL. It says a lot that they sent Tucker on an actual mission probably recognizing that he is capable as a soldier. He honestly was doing well as 1 of the leaders of this mission until he went off script. It makes a lot of sense that he is desperate to save the others it’s just unfortunate it ended up getting others killed. Things always get super intense when Locus shows up. Also the invisibility did malfunction Tucker just got lucky. Felix being impressed with himself with the knife throw is very entertaining. Episode 3 is very good. Tucker is going to have to live with getting people killed unfortunately Felix is right that in war you have to weigh the good next to the bad and decide if the end result is worth it to you. And from his reaction it seems like Tucker doesn’t feel like it was worth it. It looks like Felix is very realistic about things definitely sounds like there is a story there. I love how much Kimball is trying to inspire them and how she believes in them because of the way they inspire the other soldiers. I really love how she is realistic but empathetic & sympathetic at the same time. I like that the episode started with telling the story about the Meta. Also poor Simmons trying to talk to the female soldiers and doing his best LOL. The last episode is great. It was awesome to get to know more about these 4 soldiers. I agree with you my favorite of the soldiers is Smith especially his respect and love towards Caboose. I like your thought that these soldiers are similar to our guys. I love how Tucker doesn’t want to be a leader but feels like he has to which honestly is what makes a good leader I guess he knows how Church felt a lot of the time. Like Tyler I am also smiling knowingly while watching this :-) LOL. Awesome reaction & thoughts. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

Yay, thank you! Yeah that last one was creepy right! I'm so curious to know more about Locus! The training was a real hoot right! The colors argument, omg haha. LOL Caboose just firing everywhere! Yeah I mean Tucker's actually alright, definitely doing some risky moves but honestly better than I thought he'd be. I know, it's sad about the people who got killed. Whoa, Tucker was super lucky! Locus is no joke! Hahah I'm really enjoying Felix too. That's the thing, the greater good argument has some merit in war I guess, but it's super hard to bear that burden on your conscience. Yeah Kimball has been great so far, I'm liking her! The Meta story was great!!! LOL poor Simmons! I love that they're bringing in some new blood and Smith's reverence of Caboose is just amazing lol. Glad you enjoyed my discussion! So true that now Tucker kinda knows how Church felt. OMG I wanna know why everyone is smiling hahaha, I can't wait to get to whatever point in the series and find out! Thank you so much for being so awesome and for all your support! Also I see your comment from the other day too, I just haven't gotten to read it yet, sorry! Thank you so much! ^_^

2023-02-20 13:24:23 Hi sweets. Just letting you know I still haven’t been able to watch this. It keeps giving that one message thing saying the amount of play backs is done or whatever. It’s the longest for me that it’s done it. So I just wanted to let you know :)
