Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo season 2, episode 6!!!  Whoa, just as soon as we get another way out of here, things start going south again!  We picked up a new friend (for now?  Not sure) and Jotaro got to show off a bit more in this one!!!  An aquatic Stand was interesting to see and I was really proud of Jojo for figuring his way out of it so well!  Not only that, but he clearly is a bad boy with a good heart to try and save someone who went overboard in this ep, good for him!  Now if we can avoid getting rolled over by a giant ship, can we please get to Egypt already before something else goes wrong?!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

I wouldn't worry about the underwater talking, it's just one of those things in this show haha. And in a way I find the censored version of Jojo more disturbing. It's like a black void of nothingness appears during acts of intense violence. (or smoking apparently)

Oh ok lol, so it's a Jojo thing, got it :P Oh that's interesting, I didn't even pick up on the censoring! It's much more subtle than Hunter x Hunter, where they just turn blood into sparkles or something haha. But yeah, cutting away to another shot or to black somehow lets the imagination run a bit more wild I suppose!!!

Hi Hime :) Jean Pierre Polnareff is a reference to Michel Polnareff, a very famous French singer with us, known mainly for wearing sunglasses and his long blond hair (as well as having posed bare buttocks for the poster of one of his tours lol). But his music has influenced many popular French artists. La façon dont Avdol bat Polnareff ne te rappelle rien ? Utiliser un trou pour creuser un tunel et frappé l'adversaire par surprise. C'est comme ça que Naruto avait vaincu Neiji lors du tournoi de selection chunin. The scene you're thinking of is when Esidisi uses Joseph's master's arm after Joseph cut off Esidisi's arm and he cried. Dio also had his arm severed, but he reattached his own arm afterwards. Dark Blue Moon is of course influenced by the creature of the deep/lagoon, mainly in its design. What's funny is that for someone who talks a lot and moves a lot of air, having a technique like the whirlwind is quite appropriate. Captain's name was Tennille, which is a reference to a duo called Captain & Tennille. The girl, who is called Anne, is part of this list of child side characters who find themselves involved in the adventure without asking anything, like Poco and Smokey before her. I allow myself to tell you her name now, because she is named only once in the anime and was not even in the manga. "I'm bad with the licking" oops, Araki had already demonstrated that a bit in parts 1 and 2, but I have the feeling that he has a thing with the tongue, because you haven't finished see tongues lol.

I just read your little synopsis and had to laugh because it said “things are going south…” because literally, that’s the direction they’re headed. So Jojo’s a lot of things but tactful isn’t one of them, like when he’s trying to discern the gender of the kid. Speaking of which, I swear that character’s personality is ringing a bell from another show for me, and right now it’s driving me crazy because I can’t think of which one…. Jojo’s little ruse is the kind of cleverness he has available to use in that all he has to do is catch someone making one little slip up and he runs with it. Holy mackerel, that captain was a piece of cod… and also, you mentioned this episode turned into Jaws… are you sure that wasn’t intentional? 🙃 So we’re shipwrecked in the middle of the ocean on a life raft and just found a mysterious ship… I have one question before any of us go any further… does anybody in our traveling party know a good travel insurance agent? 👀

Hi Spadeas! :) Ohhhhh nice! Sorry for not knowing that! OHHHHHHHH good call about how similar that was to Naruto, I guess that's where they got it haha! Ok gotcha, thanks for clearing that up about the arm! I can see the influence for sure, and I can totally see how whirlwind is appropriate haha. Oh good to know she's called Anne! I was gonna say, she's probably more along the lines of a Poco. Hahahaha oh boy, I had a feeling we weren't finished with the tongue stuf!!!! :P

Hahaha hey look at that, I'm better at geography than I thought I was! :P Yeah I wouldn't say that was too tactful but oh well haha. I think there's a few characters who have that sort of scrappy kid personality! It's probably a bit of a trope. Yeah that was super clever on Jojo's part! Hahahaha oh yeah I'm sure they were leaning into the Jaws stuff! OMG seriously, at this point an insurance agent might be the biggest hero hahaha!

Fun Fact: The Stand User of Dark Blue Moon who is subbed as Fake Captain Dragon. His actual name is Impostor Captain Tenille. Other commentor might stated this as well, so I don't have to say which reference it is, since I don't know.

Lol I like that Joseph is still that fashionista. They all look great but Joseph always added or changed styles here in there. He was rocking that beach wear. I could see a mile away it was the “captain”. Cool user, bad dude. Jotaro is such a hard boiled softy. Hehe

Oh I know, he's still got it right! The man's so smooth with the wardrobe changes! Oh yeah, they were not being too subtle about it haha. Definitely fun to see the power! Oh I know, Jotaro is really growing on me with his bad-boy-good-heart thing!!!!

okay so Star Platinum is supposed to be super fast, have fast reflexes etc...what do you mean it can also extend his body part like "gum gum finger"? I'm kinda lost on this one :/ Nonetheless, great reaction, gonna wait for the next ones, see you soon :)
