Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo season 2, episode 2!!!  Yes, we're finally getting to know Jotaro a bit more!  His aloof, bad boy vibe is actually pretty fun to see in contrast to those gushing around him lol.  We also get a new opponent here....and WOW is it cool to see how Stands work in battle!  I have a feeling there will be lots of creative ones like this one!  Really rang true with the Jojo horror vibe in the scene with the nurse too.  Have I mentioned how disgusted I am that Dio's back?!  Just thought I'd get that out there.  Can't wait to see more!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Finishes Episode 1, writes comment, starts Episode 2 - WHOA! Who are you and what did you do with Melissa!? JK 😆 I mean when every girl in town is constantly striving for your attention, that might SOUND like a good thing but can you imagine how old that would get after a few days? By the way, I’m pretty sure Jojo is using the slang term of the B word - but it’s also important to remember it’s not actually a swear word. The context it which it’s normally used has given it that moniker but it is actually the technical term for a female dog. So maybe his mom reminds him of a happy puppy girl? … I actually can see that. Joseph on the other hand has an intense dislike of Japan and its culture, so much so that even American coffee is the fault of the Japanese. Remember that when characters in Japan introduce themselves their given name is listed second. So the painter/stand guy would be referred to as Kakyoin. (On that note you’ve been calling Deku by his family name, Izuku, for years now, but Nidoriya is the proper first name to be using in that case - just giving out another example). The pen is mightier than the sword. You know I had to do it. 😁 So we’ve got a mysterious Stand user, a conspiracy against a family line and now… what is that on Kakyoin’s forehead? Also you haven’t seen the Ending Theme for the arc yet. It’ll pop in when it’s appropriate. 😃 In the meantime, if you thought things were strange NOW… 😏

So funny thing about the Joestar Birth mark... In the anime, the birthmark had been on Jonathan and Joseph since the beginning... But the manga? It only became a thing in Part 3. xD As for the thing concerning about the name changes... Well... I gotta wait until next week's reaction to tell you about it. Speaking of next week's reaction, we get the first ED(Edit: Lol, I also said OP as well originally, but I thought it showed up in episode 3. xD) for Part 3! Next ED is going to be a treat for sure, it's certainly mesmerizing. Oh but here's some fun things about Jojo OPs... From now on, each Part has more than 1 OP! :D Unfortunately it's not the exact same case for EDs, but some parts have more than 1. :D At least they're all bangers.

The song playing at the end was Jotaro’s theme, it wasn’t the song playing during the OP. We will get a proper ending theme soon. You have the right idea as to what stands are. They’re essentially physical manifestations of your battle spirit. There are very different types of stands. There are the punchy fighty types like Jotaro and Kakyoin’s. And some that aren’t as punchy fighty jajaja Can’t wait for next weeks reactions!

HAHAHAHA I'm Melissa's evil doppleganger, the one with bangs :P Yeah I can imagine it would have its disadvantages. I mean, when you do the mental gymnastics of trying to say that he's calling his mom a cute puppy girl....I can sorta get my head around it lol! LOL Joseph needs to chill, the coffee wasn't even Japanese! Oh no kidding, I thought Midorya was his last name because his mom's name is Inku Midorya. HAHHA if ever there was a time for a pen pun, it's now :P Yeah I have no clue what's going on with Kakyoin! I can't wait for the new ending! Uggghhh things are about to get more bizarre, aren't they???

Wow! Oh good call about the tail. Glad I interpreted that right about the Stands. I can't wait for the new ending! I've never played the Persona games but that's interesting! Not surprising on how this concept inspired other stories. We've seen some interesting uses of the Stands so far. So true that it's not the strength, but the way the Stand is used, that makes the difference! Ohhhh no kidding, they're horror references? I have to think about this! You are going to flip out in a good way, I'm sure of it. xD For part 3 we won't get the second OP until the second season, but every other part is one season... 'cept maybe part 6, because of the Netflix batch releases.

Okay, have a Kakyoin (fanart)/HG (well, you know he's his best friend, before Crusaders, so : ) : https://imgur.com/gallery/XvHoy and yeah, it's somebody's fanart, but this is the chapter Araki would've written if his editors let him, so please consider it canon simply illustrated by somebody else, kay? :D and well, huh, actually, even though it's not in the manga, some of it WAS explicitly added into the anime, so, yup, secondary canon approved :D heh heh /cries... :) fuzzily (I adopted Noriaki Kakyoin a few years ago btw, so you can't, sorry. ;) perhaps you can adopt Jotaro or Polnareff if you wanna be family. pffttt :) :( XD )

Now that you've seen them this will be what JoJo will be going forward is stands and what's cool about it is everyone's is different so that means every time they fight they have to figure out how to beat them instead of just using the same method as before

Hi Hime :) I start with something unrelated but I love the bangs, really cute Speaking of cute, Holly is definitely the cutest character in all of the Jojo universe, but there's a reason for that and you'll soon see. For the beer shot, by perforating the bottom and opening the top, the pressure allows the beer to go down faster, allowing it to be drunk all at once. I've never tried it myself, but I had seen it used in other series before Jojo. Jotaro is inspired by the delinquents of Japan, more specifically the "bancho", who is the leader of a group of delinquents (if you type Bancho in google image, you will see that Jotaro's clothing style is typical of this kind of character) . As well as roles of Clint Eastwood (like Dirty Harry), so the very hard and cold side on the surface, but with a good bottom/heart, it is typically that. And Jotaro says it himself, he has a deep sense of justice when he describes his misdeeds: - Giving a lesson to a teacher was a teacher who made fun of and humiliated his students. - Leave without paying, it was a restaurant that had greatly inflated prices. So even though he's tough and seems like a punk like he says, he never attacks the innocent normally. For the musical reference, we have the new Jojobro Mohammed Avdol. If you're used to Japanese you probably know that the V and B sound the same, all like the L and the R. So Avdol is a good translation of the sound, but another one is also Abdul, in reference to singer Paula Abdul. Oh and by the way, his VA is Kenta Miyake, the voice of All Might. For Kakyoin, the way he cut off Jojo's leg is not with the paint, but with the "tail" of his stand. He can extend it over a great distance and is quite discreet. You are also right on the fact that injuring the stand, injures its handler, the stand is a projection of the fighting spirit, it represents its handler, but you will have other explanations as you go along. The music you hear at the end is Jotaro's theme music, not the ending, just know that the real ending, should get you all moving I think. Now I come to my future text block, the stands. As described, he's kind of a projection of a person's mind, usually standing behind him. This idea was taken up almost as is in the Persona games, if you know, you can see the direct link. It is also this idea, as well as other elements that I can't really talk about now, which inspired the author of Yu Gi Ho at the base for his manga. But as you have already seen, Jotaro has a fast and powerful stand, Kakyoin can manipulate people, stretch his own very far and throw his "emerald splash", Avdol can manipulate fire and Joseph uses his to do magic. remote projection. This idea of a unique power per person, with a stand or other that has its own name and design, is at the origin of a slew of manga that have taken up this idea. Bleach's zampakutos, the ghost principle in Shaman King, the angels of death in Death Note, even the Quirks principle in MHA, are all kind of a legacy from Jojo's stand. You will see that the author has creativity to spare and also, even more with the stands than the hamon, that it is not the force that resolves the conflict, but the way in which it is used. Just one last point, besides music, Araki is also a big movie buff, so I'm throwing you a little game, almost every enemy stand in this part is a reference to horror and fantasy cinema, so will you be able to find the references ? Here, of course, there is enough parasite film taking over people to see the links, without placing a specific film.
