Hey everyone! Here's my next reaction to MHA! WOW.........seeing all the devastation and aftermath really drives home all we've lost here. Fellow heroes, a LOT of hope and trust, etc. I truly feel that of all the destruction, the biggest thing we lost was the stuff that can't be seen - like all of the growing doubt and despair throughout society. Also, Midnight :(((( NO!!!! I was hoping she'd be okay! Dang it guys, I think that All Might statue sums up a lot of what the public is feeling at the moment, and it's not even just the public - even some of the heroes are getting overwhelmed!!!! To make matters worse, All For One is planning on getting his body back, yikes!!!! Something has to give here - true heroes and all they represent will always persevere, right?! RIGHT?! :O Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Thank you so much!! Yeah it does say a lot that they jumped right to killing him; ironic that the safety commission would be so violent!!! It's too bad about the Edgeshot/ReDestro fight!! Lol I hear you about recaps, and that makes sense that they absolutely could not mention the kids being involved for fear of involving the concept of using children to fight on top of everything else. They did a great job of showing the devastation and I agree about the siblings, it was horrifying but really drove home what was going on! I'm so proud of Uraraka and our whole kid crew, they're handling this like champs, seriously!!! Good point too about getting to show off how Koda would use his power. Yeah the hero giving up was so impactful, and excellent point that they did not necessarily sign up for this. That's also really true that at this point lots of our kids wouldn't even think of giving up as an option, especially the ones who have encountered Izuku. Midnight's death really does drive it home on a more personal note for everyone, so sad! The begging was just gut wrenching!! Such a great point that adults couldn't even handle this! Awww so sad about Native and the dino hero!!!! I've lost track of details of where we've seen people, thanks for the reminder. Yeah Shigaraki running on pure hate is very anime lol and makes sense. That's the thing, the real loss came from the repercussions with society's views. Omg the Monsters Inc. reference fits so well! Oh wow that's a great callback about the rain too! HAHAHAHA the buffering though!!!! I'm glad you could relate but also sorry you've been through it yourself!!! Thank you so much for all your kindness and support!!! Sorry for taking so long but I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts!!!! :)

Hi Hime :) The recap is good to remember everything that brought to where it is, because between the interim of Deku, Shoto and Bakugo and this apocalyptic landscape that is offered to us, there is a world that separates them. Even though I'm an adult, I'm not going to hide that when I saw the episode, Ochaco's expression when the hero says he's giving up, almost made me cry. It also shows two things, All Might as a symbol of peace has made the heroes too complacent and his disappearance has on the contrary brought out the villains even more inflated by all this time hiding from him. You mentioned it, but I'll elaborate a bit more. Indeed, there is no victory on either side. MHA was often looked down on because it was colourful, joyful and not dangerous enough, of course there was the death of Sir Nighteye, but it was only one death and the heroes won in the end. There, we have hundreds or thousands of deaths, injuries, destruction of masses, more than 17 thousand people arrested and the heroic society faltering thanks to Dabi, neither side won, both lost big. The only one who wins in all this is All for One and now, we can even say that we have two on our hands because he wants to free his original body. When we said that this arc was a point of no return, as you can see, we weren't exaggerating, but it will also be very formative for the students, who risk having a reinforced conviction now. Conversely, even if the league has lost a lot of people, the television revelations of Dabi can be pushed those who flirted with illegality to take the plunge. As All for One says, tomorrow is not another day, just the continuation and result of it all.

I loved this opening, we see deku in a totally different way and it's just so fitting. Also cool to see a certain new character and she's pretty cool. I love the one shot of deku maybe using a new quirk with the lightning surrounding him. I love the shot of deku breaking through the mask and tenko breaking through shigaraki.

Zen Reacts

No this is definitely a victory for the villains. They managed to completely destroy societies faith in heroes. They also killed alot of heroes including the number 6 as well as crippled Eraser. I wish I could tell you things get better but Im still waiting for that myself in the manga

Zen Reacts

Also they did manage to destroy the resolve of some of the heroes. Not everyone is as unbreakable as the kids

2023-01-15 19:53:18 This is going to be a comment about the opening & ending because I have a lot of thoughts and theories about them. I love the opening song because it’s suitably somber/melancholy but with a tone of hope in it as well. From Izuku’s outfit being his hero outfit but very ragged I think he’s going to decide to go off on his own all vigilante style because he is being targeted for his quirk as well as other things I think are going to happen. I don’t want to scare you but the yellow part of his new outfit looks like it’s based on or an actual part of Gran Torino’s cape/hood which in my opinion means we are going to see him die in upcoming episodes which is going to be really sad especially if Izuku is unconscious when it happens I hope that isn’t the case because he deserves to be able to say goodbye. Also based on a lot that is in this opening I feel like Izuku is going to be having a dark & depressing arc. The rain really adds to the more sad feel of what’s going on in the show. I’m glad it’s still slightly comic book like with the visuals even if it’s darker. The visuals of Deku looking like he’s crying as he seems to be walking away from All Might indicates to me that All Might is going to try to talk him out of the going solo thing but Izuku is going to respond with I am only doing what you would have done since All Might built hero society to rely on him alone which is part of the reason all of these problems are arising. Listen I love him but this is why a singular symbol of peace wasn’t a good idea. It’s interesting that through all the openings we have gone from Izuku looking up at All Might to standing next to him to looking forward with All Might behind him to now walking away from him. I hope the visual of Hawks means we will be seeing his back story soon. I love the visuals of all of Class A amidst the destruction looking sad but still determined because it shows their strength and resolve. This new pink/purple haired woman is probably a hero we haven’t seen before or more likely a villain from Tartarus if a breakout is coming. I hate having to see Izuku so exhausted, sad & defeated in the opening because we have never seen him so defeated. I don’t think Izuku could ever fully give up but I think he might get close in the arc that’s coming up. I think Uraraka reaching her hand out to him as well as the rest of his friends showing up in front of him in the opening & ending gives me an idea of what might happen. Either all his friends will try to stop him and he will not listen or they will try to go with him & he won’t accept their help. I hope this isn’t the case but honestly I would not be surprised if he didn’t even tell them what he was doing. Another thing I believe is pointing to things being dark is how Izuku looks monstrous with his full hood on (and I have been waiting for the show to have him wear it and have it look good by the way). Before I go on I have to say the animation in this opening was incredible for the small amount of action that was shown. From the visual of broken glass when it goes from Deku to the woman with purple hair she will definitely have story significance heavily connected to him I am really curious to know what her character is like/all about. For my next point I want to remind you or tell you that being a vigilante in this world is illegal. While he is swinging around a spotlight focuses on him which probably means professional heroes and police might end up hunting him down as a criminal. We actually see all for one controlled Shigaraki fighting although it’s very small and it looks like he is being attacked by Bakugo, Todoroki and Iida using their ultimate moves and he seems to be handling it which is bad news. Also the imagery of Izuku sending energy all around him is so cool & it’s either just a representation of the power of one for all or its some kind of powered up version of black whip or a new power entirely. 1 of the visuals of Izuku actually shows the different colored stars representing the one for all users if you go frame by frame and I only know that because of another reaction channel I watch which made me excited when I learned that. The visuals of Shigaraki & Izuku towards the end of the opening are brilliant and beautiful. I love that child Tenko emerges from his present day self. A cool but disturbing detail is when the current body of Shigaraki is disappearing from child Tenko for part of the animation you can see a really creepy version of all for one’s face. I love that the 2 of them look monstrous but then their true selves that are hurt and need help appear which is even more great parallels between the 2 of them. Also I know that Deku has gone through a lot of shit that has negatively affected him but for the imagery to make sense I think he will be going through even more messed up stuff. I love that when Izuku reaches his hand out to Tenko that a star which represents one for all appears. I like that in the line up of all the kids Bakugo & Todoroki have slightly darker faces which makes sense considering what they have been going through in recent episodes. I love that the opening ends with Izuku’s fist in the air like All Might which to me represents that the hope & strength of the heroes is still there as well as Izuku probably finding that strength and hope again. I looked up the translated lyrics and they are great. The lyrics that are in the opening seem to be about asking if there is still hope & if it’s possible to walk the difficult path of being a hero. As well as talking about how being there for someone no matter what hardships or pain come your way or even if that person is pushing you away because that’s what a hero is and with what I think Izuku will be going through its very meaningful. Other lyrics are focused on how important feelings/desires/dreams are and if giving up seems like the only option that’s when being there for someone is most important. A very important lyric when it comes to this show at the start of the song is how the world isn’t black and white. The rest of the full song is about similar things but a specific part of the lyrics that really stood out to me basically said I will keep moving forward because that’s what you taught me which almost made me emotional because it reminded me of Izuku & All Might. The band is called Eve & they did the 1st Jujutsu Kaisen opening. This is the best MHA opening in a while and my favorite. I have loved all the openings of the show for 1 reason or another but since the 1st opening of season 3 the only one I have been able to say is completely great except for the cultural festival/Jirou/music focused opening for the 2nd half of season 4. I love the ending so much because it’s a call back/different version of the 1st opening. I think the song is great being nostalgic and more hopeful as a contrast to the opening. I love that it’s very focused on Izuku’s journey & if you notice all the images are from his perspective about all the hard work, experiences good and bad of him and his friends have gone through. And that’s sad if he is really going on his own and losing hope perhaps thinking that all that hard work meant nothing because he still wasn’t strong enough in his mind. I love that when all his friends show up the clouds clear up and the sun shines through. The fact that they appear after he is looking at the I am not here sign to me is basically saying maybe All Might isn’t here but we are. The song itself also seems to be about his journey with lyrics about the loneliness and sadness he faced for a lot of his life and how he overcame that as well as talking about friendship. Which gives me hope that that’s what will happen with what I think is going to be a dark arc for Izuku’s character. I will be posting a comment about the episode soon. I enjoyed your reaction to the opening & ending. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

Hi Spadeas! :) It was nice to have the recap! OMG, I hear you, that was a tear worthy moment :( Hmm, interesting point about the fact that All Might was so powerful and kept the peace so well that it almost had a somewhat negative effect after his disappearance. Such a great point, I'm glad you elaborated - there was definitely no victory here. Oof, two All for Ones...!!! I can definitely see what you meant now! Such a great point that by exposing everything, they're probably going to recruit more to the League. Yikes.....the future feels ominous!!!

kamenriderhime

Yes, it was great!!! Good point about the possible new quirk. Lots of great scenes and things to look forward to!

kamenriderhime

Yeah I agree. What they lost in numbers they made up for in just obliterating the concept of heroes. Poor Eraser!! I was wondering how he was doing. Guess we'll both find out! I know, it was devastating watching the heroes get their spirits broken. I wish everyone had the resolve of the kids but of course that's just not the case. Sad stuff!

kamenriderhime

Oof, definitely some foreshadowing in this theme! A darker tone for Izuku, possible loss of Gran Torino....!!! Good point that Izuku would have some reason to go off on his own, even if All Might disagreed. It's sad to see Izuku this way for sure, and the visual of All Might and him walking away from reach other is powerful. Guess we'll find out who the purple haired person was. I'm so scared about what you said about his friends' role to play in this, but I could definitely see this being a breaking point for Izuku so who knows. The hood looked great! I wonder if we're getting a new or upgraded quirk! Whoa, that's so cool about the stars!!! Also I'll have to look for the All for One visual as little Tenko emerges, that's creepy. But a beautiful sequence between Shigaraki and Izuku like you said. Makes sense that Todoroki and Bakugo would look darker too, after all they've been through. The All Might visual is a real symbol of hope, it's never gone even if we have been through some terrible stuff. Ohhhh that's why the band sounded familiar, thanks! Great point that the clouds clear when the friends show up, and showing the sign right after really speaks volumes about them being there even if All Might isn't. I think we're about to go through some stuff for sure but I feel like the main point of this show is that it's never too late and there's always hope. Thank you so much!!! I'll look forward to your ep comment!!!! Really appreciate the kind words!!! ^_^

2023-01-27 03:09:39 I love this episode and your reaction. The stuff with the Twice duplicate of Re Destro is really interesting. I think it says a lot about the state of hero society that the safety commission jumped straight to assassination to deal with him. As a comment said the safety commission has violence in their blood they are brutal. Interesting that Re Destro asked if this is the kind of society they built. It is really ominous when he says be liberated as he melted away. I thought there was already a lot of chaos after everything that’s happened this season but now knowing that the safety commission which runs line she behind the scenes of hero society is also in shambles I realized it is worse. I am so disappointed that we and apparently manga readers did not get to see the full fight of Edgeshot against Re Destro. However I love that we see the continuation of Geten vs Cementoss which is still something I didn’t know I needed until I got it. I like that it’s another way of showing that heroes and villains have reasons for why they fight with such determination. We were able to capture so many villains almost entirely taking out their entire organization it feels like we won… Right? Also yes basically involving the students is illegal so that’s why all the pros stuck to a story & lied. The public would be even more outraged if they knew the heroes in the public’s eyes were using child soldiers. I didn’t like the recap in episode 12 so I hated the one in this episode. I understand why recaps exist but I don’t have to like them LOL. Although I like that it’s presented as Izuku reading the report later on and how it’s basically a greatest hits/best moments video. Once they focus on the one police officer amidst the devastation everything about the episode was perfect. It was upsetting & hard to watch but showing all the destruction/aftermath was necessary after all of the recent events. Hearing all the screams and cries for help and seeing all the destruction really shows what the tone currently is in the show. The interaction of this sibling pair is honest to God 1 of the saddest moments in the show for me especially the bargaining they are doing. Thank God they were saved. I have always loved Uraraka but her stuff this episode was some of the best writing she has had in a while possibly ever. I love once again being able to see her strength. It must be so mentally taxing to save someone but there constantly being another person to save in addition to having to witness all this death, destruction and mental anguish especially for these 16-year-olds. I like seeing Koda here because it shows where his talking to animals power shines which is in rescue operations. I think the progress of her face is amazing going from normal to getting more disheveled, dirty and bloody. The moment of the one hero who gives up is so powerful/impactful. I think it’s understandable for viewers to be disappointed or even angry that a hero would give up but something to consider is that most of the current heroes chose to become heroes in the era of peace created by All Might. They did not become heroes expecting to deal with all this devastation where death is very much a possibility probably only expecting to deal with villains sometimes and make a living. And while some heroes will stay strong & resolved no matter what which includes the kids some just won’t be able to do that. I love how all the noise around Ochako fades away to emphasize the importance of this moment. She would never give up so I think the look we see on her face is realization of how fragile hero society is because before this she would have never considered that there was a possibility that a hero could give up because in her mind especially after being influenced a lot by Izuku a hero doesn’t give up. Midnight’s death was very well done from an emotional standpoint and I think it was important to really make us understand the stakes even more. It emphasizes the cost of this battle for the students personally. Seeing them in such shock & emotional trauma was rough but the worst part was hearing Kirishima and MIna begging her to wake up the voice acting as well as the way all their faces were animated was so sad/depressing. I know the kids will be able to rise above this but as it stands things are bleak. As someone on a channel I watch said the kids can’t handle this and his friend responded with the adults can’t handle this. 1 of the heroes who died Native was important to this channel at 1st because it was a meme but eventually they came to love him so they were devastated at his death. Another hero who died who looks like a dinosaur actually encouraged Shinsou during the sports Festival when he lost to Izuku. Shigaraki coming back to life because of his feelings is so anime but fits very well with the story being told. The reactions of the citizens with their distrust increasing is the true sign that the heroes lost more badly than the villains. The dark choir that starts at the end of the episode is terrifying. Someone described the look on Spinner’s face as a “put that thing back where it came from or so help me” look which is a great Monsters Inc. reference but also accurate. He is so worried about Shigaraki but very much in shock as well. Something I noticed is that the way the rain was animated looks almost exactly the same as when it was raining when all for one sent Shigaraki on a mission to kill someone when he was a kid. I guess it’s time for a jailbreak God help us. Finally your reaction to the episode loading was the most relatable I have ever seen in 1 of your videos LOL <3. Awesome reaction & discussion. Keep up the great work. :-) <3
2023-01-17 13:49:28 I love this episode and your reaction.
