Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo season 1, episode 22!!!  Oh dang guys, it wouldn't be a Jojo battle without some kind of grand spectacle, now would it?  Still, horse vamps and chariot races create quite the backdrop for this fight, which was SO back and forth that I think I got whiplash!!!!  Unicorn horns, eye gouging, limbs separating....and that cliffhanger!!!  I mean, I think Wamuu overstepped a bit and is paying the price???  That's how it looked anyway!!!  Can't wait to see more!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Hi Hime :) The vampire who says his name is Wired Beck, is a reference to Jeff Beck the guitarist. Lisa Lisa is indeed Jojo's mother, but he doesn't know it since he was told that his parents were dead. We learn the link between the baby on the boat and that of Erina at the start of the season when Smocky talks about the Joestar family. But all will be explained again later I reassure you. But now that the secret is finally out, I'll finally be able to talk about Lisa Lisa's influence. An older woman who looks younger, who trains our hero and somehow has a connection with him, does that remind you of anyone ? Lisa Lisa is the model on which Bisky (Hunter X Hunter) and Tsunade (Naruto) were created for me. There are surely other references to Lisa Lisa, I don't know them all, but we must not forget that this part of the manga was published in 1988, Araki, the author had to do violence to impose Lisa Lisa and even that we let her fight. She was one of the first women in shonen to be in action and it paved the way for many others after her. That's also why you get so much backward criticism of her from Wamuu and Kars, it's a way of showing that those who don't think a woman can be badass are as backward as men from a thousand years before us. Jojo against Wamuu is a most interesting fight, because as you can see, we have twist on twist on twist, you never know how it's going to end or what idea Jojo or Wamuu will come out of their butt, even if we now know that his arms come out of his chest for Wamuu lol. In any case it's nice to see that you appreciate the series and Joseph, to see that you have a good time and invest yourself in the characters and the story lets us know that it was a good idea to make you start the series, and when it's a series you like, it's even better.

I don't know why the official subs went with 'Ultimate Mastery', but Wham's final attack in this episode is called: "Final Mode". Honestly if they were going to change it, I think 'Final Mastery' might've sounded better. o: I don't think it's even a reference to anything either, might've been an aesthetic change on the translator's part. o 3o; That being said... the conclusion to this battle is in the next episode, and it maaaaaay just surprise you. Nice to see you get the Beck reference on your own though, to be honest until recently, I had always thought Wired Beck was referencing another musician by the name of Beck. 🤣 It's kind of sad that we only get a few more episodes of the Second OP, but the good news is that there are no bad Jojo OPs. Though that also means that pretty soon we won't get to hear roundabout as the ED either. :c ...But I'm pretty confident the replacement ED is going to be one you love, or at the very least be something you'd enjoy. I just can't see how you'd be able to hate it. 😂 ...So have people told you about the official dub? Because I can't remember if I ever brought it up... So if anyone did, you can skip the rest of the post since it might be information you already know. ...However in the English Dub, Jonathan Joestar was played by good ol' Johnny Yong Bosch... It's kind of funny hearing him play it a little posh since Jojo *is* an english gentleman. xD .Patrick Seitz was Dio, and honestly I think out of the Dub Cast of Part 1 and Part 2... He certainly nailed his role the most. As for Joseph Joestar? His voice actor played a character by the name of Nigel Uno... Which if that name is unfamiliar to you, you might recgonize his Codename: Numbuh 1 of the K.N.D(Kids Next Door).

Hello again, there isn’t too much to really break down in this episode, as you said before the craziness is almost Looney Tunes-ish. Did want to point out something I neglected to last time: you seemed a little surprised that Kars and Wamuu are kind of demeaning towards females. They’ve been around for several thousand years. You should know by now that society hasn’t always been about gender equity, in fact it’s only recent history in a lot of places that it’s become more prominent, so it makes sense they would think a lot more… archaically. As far as the fight itself, it’s just one-up after one-up, and everyone keeps playing their next trap Card. But Kars seems to think it’s a bad thing Wamuu is doing his ultimate move, so it might be as harmful to him as it is dangerous to Jojo. “Why is there a unicorn?” You have asked for this on other shows, now you’re complaining? Also, will you be around for the next reaction? Police reports have said there’s a lot of incoherent screaming coming from your attic and the neighbors are starting to get concerned after this recording. 😁

Man it did feel like the end for this Jojo at the end and I’m not ready for it. I love this big ham. Fingers crossed it did backfire. I’m also hoping he makes it to next season. :,(

Lol yup, pretty wacky! That's a great point, I guess I was surprised they'd never encountered any warrior females along the way though? Like a Xena type maybe lol? But I definitely see what you mean about the perspective. Yeah, seems like maybe Wamuu went too far this time! HAHAHAHA this is not what I had in mind when I said I wanted unicorns :P LOL!!!! Between this, Rebels this week, etc. I'm shocked I don't have squad cars lined up!!! :P

Oh they both have a nice ring! Final Mastery is probably the best of both worlds, hmm. Weird that they'd change it that way! I've seen the next ep now and I'd have to agree! Thanks!!! I'm happy I caught it! Ohhhh 2000s singer Beck? I know that one! Yeah I'll miss this theme, and oh no, we have to say goodbye to roundabout too?!?!?! Awwww!! If it's classic rock, I'm sure I'll at least know it, and probably also enjoy it!! Oh, actually no one had told me about the dub!!! WOW!!! That's so awesome!!! I'd love to hear both renditions honestly!!! I've never seen Kids Next Door but that's awesome that the VA has such a resume!!!! Nice!!!

Hi Spadeas! :) Nice, that's so awesome about the reference! Thanks for clarifying, I was so afraid I was going crazy haha! Ohhhhh I can totally see the Bisky and Tsunade similarities!!! That's so cool that she was a trailblazer!! Wow! Jojo's just making history all over the place lol. So many twists! I'm super invested, and I'm happy you enjoy my enjoyment of these characters!! Honestly the plot and action are so fun, but it's the characters that have got me hooked. :)
