Hey everyone!  Here I am with episode 25 of Spy x Family, yayyyyy!!!  OMG!!!!  We're finally here!!!  SO intense!!!  I loved this interaction for so many reasons - first off, the obvious, it was great to see Loid make this kind of progress.  Second, I feel like he actually really helped the relationship between Damian and his father, even if it was slight.  Third, I'm hoping now Damian will be a bit less hostile towards Anya!!!
What a delicate dance though, wow!  Loid's got nerves of steel to handle it like such a pro!  Also very telling of the dad's personality that he doesn't believe you can really know/trust people, hmmm.  He's a tough nut to crack alright!  Meanwhile Anya is snoozing!!  Poor girl, saving the world is hard work!!  What a great episode, season and show!  I'll miss it but can't wait for season 2!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

We interrupt your weekly shenanigans to remind you we have an overarching plot to advance. So I couldn’t help but laugh when I noticed a couple things suddenly: first Anya’s “tail” of Damian looked a lot like Ruby’s zigzag move in V2. Except Anya got caught. Also the Desmonds all have the same initials in their family, DD, it seems: just like the Schnees, WS. XD Becky is an interference to everything without intending to be an interference to everything. Meanwhile, Anya’s got a completely different plan in mind and nobody else knows what the other is thinking, except her. I wonder if there was a shred of truth in Anya’s little convincing speech to Damian about not being afraid of her dad because she loves him regardless of her failures. Of course, Loid overhearing it makes you wonder if that’s something he’ll process later. For the most part, I think this episode is Loid looking in a reverse mirror. While the Forgers might be a “pretend” family on the surface, they’re genuinely warm and caring towards each other and do their best to fill their roles and interactions. The Desmonds on the other hand, are quite the opposite, as Damian has to work like a madman just to get his father’s attention for one minute, and it seems everyone else in his family doesn’t seem to think he’s really worth the time yet. Oh yeah, there was a spy thing going on here too, wasn’t there? But I wonder if Loid ended up learning more about Desmond… or more about himself? Loid telling Damian Anya is a contrarian can only mean more hijinxs in the future. Like, her brushing him off will be interpreted as “she’s into me…” - I can already see the facepalms. Loid was speaking from experience when he said, it’s hard to completely control children. Gee, ya think!? Anya’s got her own agenda and you’re all just pawns in her little scheme. This is the last WAKU WAKU for now, but not forever. Also, there is a movie in the works as well as Season 2, I don’t know if you caught that when I sent the link. So it’s not like we’re close to done here. The studio just needs time. Oh, and your RWBY fans and OG Spy x Family fans would like to have a discussion about your “I have to wait” rants…. (You can’t see it right now but I’m making Anya’s smug face as I type this. 😁) Until then… WAKU WAKU!

2022-12-31 00:09:56 I wasn’t actually expecting to meet Donovan today. I thought it would be a whole teaser episode and him not showing up. So it took me a minute to process when he appeared. I gotta say his demeanor is a lot more intimidating than I thought. The usual wide eyed man I could never read. I didn’t think much of his blank expression cause I assumed that was a pokerface for us, the audience. I guess I expected him to be more robotic in some way, almost not human but he’s surprisingly more threatening to me. His other stare, seen here, was very scary. It’s like he has two modes. His smile and usual eyes make him elusive and his angry face is letting you know to watch yourself. He’s clearly not a man to take lightly. And the whole conversation was very tense. I usually like to applaud Loid, but he deserves an ovation. After the first greet, I would have thought anything else would be pushing the envelope ,but he asked and came up the right responses & I’m still feeling uncertain whether he’s under Desmond’s radar now. Very interesting way they closed this season but I can see why they did this. It’s a great way to introduce the big man himself. 👁 👃 👁

It wasn't a grand finale, but it was a fine one in my book, now we'll have to wait for season 2 and also a movie (dunno if the movie's gonna be canon or not, wait and see). Liked your bittersweet reaction, and I'll wait for your coverage for the next thing spy x family related ^^

Hahah oh yeah that mission, I remember that! Omg I could totally see the comparison to Ruby haha. Yeah there's some similarities between the Desmonds and Schnees for sure. Aw, I could totally see there being some truth to Anya's speech. So true about the reverse mirror, it really says something about family, doesn't it? Hmmm, good point that Loid may have just learned more about himself as a result of trying to learn about Desmond! That's pretty deep! OMG, you could be right about future shenanigans thanks to Loid's statement about Anya!!!! Hahahah yeah it's Anya's world, the rest of them are just living in it! :P Oh nice, that's awesome about the movie!!! We're not done for sure! My comment on the having to wait line is this: "Heh" (did you see the face as you read that???) WAKU WAKU until next time!!!

Yeah I know, that happened so fast!! I could've seen it being a teaser too. Yeah I agree, he's got a quite menacing presence behind that vacant stare. The other mode was pretty scary too! It was super tense!!! But our Loid knew just how to handle it for sure! Yeah what a way to take out the season with this huge meeting!!!! Can't wait for more!!
