Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to season 4, episode 5 of REBELS!!!!  Omg!!
We are finally getting back to Lothal, something Ezra is pretty glad about until.....actually seeing how bad it's gotten.  It must have hit hard!  There's always hope though!  Some great moments here, with Ezra's doubts, Kanan and Hera's little moment (squeeeeee), etc.!  And finally, just what are we up against with these new TIE fighters?  Guess we'll find out in the next ep!  Great ep!  Enjoy!!!  ~ MH

Gooood, the scene with Hera and Kanan is so freaking good. Like clearly there’s been something there since the beginning of the show but we’ve never really had scenes like that with them before, probably cause the kids are always around lol. And god, seeing Lothal now compared to how relatively peaceful it was at the start is heartbreaking. It was visibly burning from space! I’m so excited cause basically every episode till the end is amazing!

Right?! I love how they build up the bond between them! I know, Lothal's seen a lot, sadly! All these eps from here on out are absolute fire just like you said!!!

Arguably all the episodes from this one until the end of the series (episode 16) are one long arc, now. Thanks for posting and looking forward to watching :-)

Sabine has updated her look, its my favourite of her looks, especially her armour, the colour blendings work so well with her black undergarments and her hair, which looks the one colour but has touches of purple at the tips. So cool. Of the other characters looks, I believe only Ezra is slightly taller to make him look late teens now. And yeah a lot speak about Kallus's new look, and label him here 'sexy Kallus' hehe. I'm with Chopper, Zeb's hat IS ridiculous, its so 70's sci-fi, that definitely had to have been a McQuarrie design from then. First time in the series we see Hera's pointy ears too. If you haven't noticed, male Twileks have similar ears to us, while the females have these pointy ears. Its a horrifying sight seeing what the Empire is doing to Lothal, burning it to the ground, and extracting all the minerals they can to fuel the factories and build the TIE's. They have ramped up the scale of production of them here with the ecological damage we see here. One of the (many) reasons Governor Pryce is one of my most hated characters in Star Wars, is not only that she is the Governor for Lothal, she actually hails from the planet too. The fact that she is willing to do this to her own world, all for the Empire, is sickening. The Puffer Pigs bouncing around to allow our crew to escape is gloriously ridiculous! And the fact Visago gets captured due to his own greed in trying to catch one! The 'ace pilot' Baron Valen Rudor at Joe's bar might indeed recognise Ezra in particular. There were four shorts made for Rebels before the series aired, introducing our characters; and he was in both Ezra and Zeb's episodes. Ezra completely takes the mick out of him when he is in his ship as it crash landed in a battle against a proper ace pilot in the Ghost, and Ezra steals everything aboard his ship under his nose, then uses his electric catapult he had when we first met him, to finish him off! In Zeb's episode, he is on the run and gets into loads of tussles with stormtroopers, and him as well; and in fact he is also the pilot Zeb steals the TIE fighter from in the infamous Meiloorun fruit episode! :D Its a sweet but melancholic moment with Kanan and Hera when he says he wishes he could see her. The Jedi in him has accepted his disability, but the man who is in love, pangs just to be able to see her again. He doesn't even get a kiss out of it either, as the mission needs to resume. I know you have referenced several times throughout the show about the character from the Academy looking for his sister. Its not covered again, however that story was in a comic as Rebels was airing and covered there. His sister was force-sensitive and worked for the Grand Inquisitor, but I believe she managed to get out.

Look, everyone, if you’re going to go undercover, I think Chopper is trying to tell you: could you look a little LESS like you’re going undercover? 😆 The puffer pigs and Zeb’s face scaring them have come up before, I just don’t recall exactly where. Rex and Kallus’ little exchange was pretty funny: now that I think about it - have we EVER seen a successful Star Destroyer captain? That’s a good question…. Speaking of the small things, Jai coming back from the Academy arc is another example of why doing the little things matter -it certainly helped with our two troublemakers this time. Also trying to remix the Imperial March into a Disney sound? Sorry, guys, I know you like to market, but… just, NO. 😂 Kanan and Hera’s little moment getting interrupted by this whole galactic saga… guys, you aren’t the first romance to be interrupted by this, constantly. And you won’t be the last, either. Also, Kanan and Hera didn’t detect the Troopers because of the force, their radius are on really loud. Fighting bad guys in the sewers? What is this TMNT? And the thing that stuck out the most to me is Ezra’s reaction and then his doubt about whether or not he could’ve done anything if he was there. Meanwhile, there’s one person right next to thin who gets this better than anyone. Sabine’s gone through exactly the same thing with her arc. Those two are more alike than they realize.

I love this look! Oh ok, I didn't notice the height difference for Ezra but that makes sense, our little man is growing up!!! LOL Sexy Kallus is totally fitting!!! Hahaha the hat! Love that it might have been a nod to the 70s designs as well. Oh I didn't notice the ears, good call! Yes the Empire has ravaged the planet, it's devastating. Oof, Pryce is a Lothal native and okayed this / went along with it? Yikes! Lol I loved the Puffer Pigs!! Visago just wanted one a little too much! OHHH that guy was from the shorts? I was wondering! OMG no way, he was the fruit culprit?!!? Wow! I need to watch those lol. I know, I loved that moment with Kanan and Hera! So heartbreaking!! Oh, thanks for the info on that one cadet! I'm glad he got her out!

Hahahaha I mean the outfits do stand out quite a bit for undercover :P Oh yeah, I know we've covered the Puffer Pigs before! Good question about success and Star Destroyer captains, hmm!! Yeah I love that they can bring back a character like that, it truly is the little things. OMG the happy Disney Imperial march was too much! Sadly, yeah, war and rebellion have a way of interrupting romance in this franchise! HAHAHAHA they're totally like ninja turtles!!! So true that Sabine gets this better than anyone, great point.

Yeah its subtle with Ezra's design here, you don't notice it too much, but there were several times last season Ezra is speaking to Hera directly and she was a good bit taller than him, now he is around the same height as her. He is becoming a man, well physically anyway, he still has his boyishness to his personality at times! We see that with Luke too in A New Hope at 19, being a tad annoying bothering Han and co! As I say and I'm middle-aged, growing up is overrated!! :D Note pretty much all female Twilek's we see have their ears covered up, I think its a design choice as it probably looks better than when they were first designed back in Return Of The Jedi I believe. Aesthetically though, most of the men look a bit on the uglier side imo, yet the women are generally beautiful, they are a strange race. Also they have two headtails always, except for the fat senator who was in Clone Wars and the films, Orn Free Taa who has four. You will see him again so look out for them when you see him! :D I rewatched the shorts the other night and its strange watching them now, especially the Ezra one, seeing how far they've all come.

That's so interesting, it's subtle but really helps us to feel the progress I guess! I see what you mean about the boyishness though, it can definitely be seen with Luke too! Lol, I hear you about growing up!!! Oh no kidding about the ears, not sure if I'd ever noticed! Oh, thanks for the heads up on Orn Free Taa too. I really need to see those shorts!! Maybe after I'm done with the season/series!
