Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo season 1, episode 9!!!  Wait..........WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You guys.........I'm pretty sure........they just killed off the main characters.....!!!!!!!  I was NOT prepared for this!!!  Right up until the last second I was expecting some hint that Jojo survived, cause you know, THAT'S HOW SHOWS WORK, THEY NEED A MAIN CHARACTER!!!!!!!!!!  But when Erina and the baby (babies, I guess) survived, I got this pesky feeling that they were about to do something huge.  The final battle between Jojo and Dio was EPIC!!!  Jojo giving it his all, Dio monologuing from a jar, headless zombies, a ship full of zombies, etc.!!!  My big question at the end of this was....where do we go from here?!  I had no idea what I was in store for....!!!! Great ep and great arc!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

THIS IS WHY YOU DON'T SKIP PART 1, PEOPLE! It shows that the main character doesn't always make it past the end of their part. v.v Rest in Piece Jonathan.

And this is why Phantom Blood, or should I say Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is so unique: in the early days of this work, the aurhor didn't hesitate to sacrifice his main character, huge respect for Araki :) Part 1 was pretty fun (just like your reactions), but now it's time for Part 2 Battle Tendency, and our new Jojo, Joseph Joestar ^^

Now you understand why everyone was laughing behind their comments last week. “There’s no way they’re killing Jojo, I know he’s safe.” Us: … DO you now? For the record, that did actually happen. Jonathan Joestar is dead. I don’t know if you picked up on the subtle reference, but Speedwagon running off to see the newlyweds off sure looks a lot like the boarding scene from “Titanic.” Except you know, there were no vampires or talking heads… Erin’s was able to survive by hiding in the coffin that Dio said was dynamite proof. “Guys… I’m inside my own head trying to make sense of this.” Well, that’s more than I can say for Dio… all he had was a head this episode. Friendly advice: stop thinking you know which way the series is gonna go next. It’s probably wrong. 😂

Hahahha omg!!!!!!! I was so, so sure!!!!!!!! :P Thanks for clarifying, I've been in shock about it for a while. Oh, I've never seen Titanic but that's a good reference! I mean, why not throw some vampires and talking heads in there??? That makes any story more interesting right??? :P HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Dio was inside his own head too.....inside its own jar....!!! Oh yeah, I give up completely on predicting at this point, just wow!!!

So happy you got through part 1! I feel like a lot of people struggle to get past the first few episodes and give up on the show. This is probably my favorite anime and manga of all time! So I’m so glad you’re reacting to it (been hoping for it for a long while now) It’s only going to get better and more bizarre from here. Can’t wait for the rest of your reactions!
