Hey everyone!  Here I am with episode 16 of Spy x Family, yayyyyy!!!  OMG, the story of Yor's cooking incidents was EVERYTHING!!!  I should have known there would be some kind of cute, benign answer to why she was acting strange lol.  Love that Yuri got in on it too, even though he almost risked his life to do so!!!  I'm so proud of our Mama!!!  It was also nice to get a Frankie-centric episode!!!  Look at Loid, being a family man and helping his friend!!!  He's come a long way lol.  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

I get the impression there's more to Camilla than we've seen. Some of the faces she makes here makes me think she just hates to look soft or weak.

I could totally see that! She's definitely more layered, based on that one episode we had with her back last season.

Hi Hime :) I had guessed for the cooking side and that Yuri was going to be the guinea pig and liked Yor's cooking, but despite that, the humor really hit home. The humor of this episode was really good, because succeeding in being funny, even when you guessed the fall of the joke, is not easy. Speaking of cooking, since you mention your experience, I'm just going to add that even if I don't consider myself an excellent cook, I do quite well behind a stove. I don't necessarily like the preparation stage, especially when it lasts for hours, but I like to experiment and I must admit that despite that, I still haven't killed anyone lol. I have a few little tricks that I'm happy to have found, like my magic mixture of carrots and red onions mixed, added to pasta, rice, mixed with meat or even in raclette cheese, yum just magic. But yes, after watching this episode, I knew you were going to have a great time.

Before I dive in, someone brought this to my attention: you’d think just about everyone is a fan of these characters, right? Well… there’s one person who isn’t. And it’s the mangaka. He created them, but he doesn’t really have any love for them, apparently this got started as a sort of side project and then it blew up. I’m pretty surprised. But I suppose most artists are always criticizing their own stuff? The first few minutes of the episode are quite funny the way they’re leading you in one direction and then they pull the rug out from under you, but that’s what this show does. Also, Camilla’s kind of having to get her comeuppance for how she treated Yor in the first couple episodes. It’s called karma. “Make sure it isn’t poison before you eat it!” - well, you called that one. I’m remembering something that looked awful but tasted fine on an anime but now I can’t remember where I saw it. I think the interesting thing here is Yor isn’t doing this to maintain her cover - that’s fine. She’s doing this because her biggest fear is losing the other two. I think Yor might be more invested than she realizes. Franky’s obsession kind of reminded me of what’s going on with Mob in MP100, but I think it’s really just a catalyst for Loid to comment on how they can’t have attachments. I also noticed that he was more than eager to join Franky when he wanted to drown his emotions. Loid doesn’t seem to like the idea of having to give them up either… but at this point I don’t think he sees a choice. One of the informants said a few episodes ago “will there ever come a day when we aren’t needed anymore?” Maybe if this mission is successful, Twilight won’t be necessary and world peace will be achieved? Maybe then they can settle down. By the way… Yor needs a hug. Badly. READ THE ROOM TWILIGHT! :P

But why did the meatball have a bone in it? Thank goodness this isn't food wars. 😶 Mm poor Franky. It's hard to put yourself out there. I'm glad Loid and him have that camaraderie with one another. Helps ease the pain.

Hi Spadeas! :) Hahaha it was amazing to have Yuri be the taste tester!! It was comedy gold for sure. Oh that's great that you're good with the stove!!! Long prep can be a pain for sure, but it's awesome that you've found tips and tricks to help along the way! And a big bonus that you've never produced anything poisonous like Yor haha! Oh, that dish sounds divine!!!! Now I'm hungry lol. It was a great time for sure!!!!

Right?! Like excuse me but....I do believe you've taken the wrong part of the meat perhaps??? Lol. Yeah it's tough for Franky! At least he did it though! Gotta gain those XP when it comes to love I guess haha. It's nice that Loid was there for him!!!

Really?!?! Wow!!! That's surprising, but I guess we really are all our own worst critics! Yeah they set me up good. Yup, Camilla ought to pay up in karma for being so awful earlier!!! Oh was it Slime that you're thinking of? I actually thought of it later that this reminded me of Shion's situation haha. Oh yeah I could see the relation to Frankie and MP100. But yeah, it helps us to hear more from Loid on his perspective at this point. Yes, good point about him being more open to it. I know, it's a terrible thought that he's gearing up to leave, but let's hope it doesn't come to that! That's what I'm hoping, if he can succeed here, he can just retire and live happily with his family! Awwww Yor!!! I'm sure it would be amazing and awkward if they hugged lol!!

the main part was very wholesome, Mama Yor can be proud, and the side story with Franky, despite being funny, made me saw Loisd as a loyal trustworthy friend, even if he's job is basically to lie everyday :p it was nice ^^
