Hey everyone!  Here's my next reaction to MHA!  Whoa, I have no clue what happened to Hawks during that battle, what Dabi was really getting at, etc.....but wow guys, what an ep!  Mirko once again proves that she is a stone cold BOSS, and we even get some great moves from folks like Present Mic (who got some well deserved revenge on the doctor).  I get that we couldn't let the experiment finish, but dang it guys, I think Shigaraki was close to done anyway....and now he's loose...!!!  That visual of him rejecting his family after they "rejected" him was so symbolic too.  I think we're headed for more trouble!!!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Is Fire really a specific weakness? Alot of people are not fireproof. Even if they mean in the quirk countering way. Well there is a big difference between 75% done and 100% So its good they interrupted it. But still, he got All for One. Thaaaats really dangerous. Now you have seen the reason why the MHA community loves Mirko, and wanted her animated scenes to be good.

Zen Reacts

Yeah Dabi didnt really care that much about Twice, everything is just kind of a means to an end with him

Zen Reacts

Also Dabi did tell Hawks his real name we just dont get to find out, even in the manga the panel with the reveal was just a big blacked out speech bubble

Spadeas

Hi Hime :) Ah I knew you were going to feel bad for Mirko in this episode. Clearly, even if her role is almost finished seen in the state she is in, her passage will have been more than striking and just makes you want to see her come back in great shape. Now, regarding Shigaraki, his "inner world" with AfO which is blurry, reminds you of anything? It looks like the passage when Izuku comes into contact with the predecessors. The parallel between the two is even greater, with Izuku accepting help from those who reach out to him, while Shigaraki reaches out to destroy those who try to help him. For Dabi to finish, I think I know your theory on his identity and everyone has this theory since almost the appearance of the character. I'll just remind that he's a huge liar and manipulator, as he shows here, playing sadness at Twice's death, while he says shortly after that he doesn't care about the league, only his goal is important. He lied about his motives, about how he feels, probably about his identity, all to achieve his goal, a real manipulator who just said the real thing, Hawks should have watched him better.

I'm not counting Mirko out yet. I've seen some pretty grave injuries on this show (Aizawa at the end of season 1 comes to mind). My guess is she'll keep going like the Energizer bunny.

kamenriderhime

Well that's a fair point!! I know, I hope that 25% makes a big difference lol. Yes, Mirko is amazing!!! I think they did her justice!!

kamenriderhime

Whoa!!!!! That's intense.....I can't imagine what it was like reading it with the blocked out bubble, I'd be panicking haha!

kamenriderhime

I hear you!!!! I'm hoping she pulls through!!! Like the Energizer bunny haha. I mean, bunnies are fast...maybe she heals fast??? :P

kamenriderhime

Hi Spadeas! :) I knoooowww!! It was brutal! Oh yeah, it kinda reminds me of what Izuku has for the vestiges! That's so interesting, the compare/contrast between how they treat the ones reaching out to help them. Yeah it's a popular theory! He's a liar for sure!! Ugh. Yeah, I guess Hawks underestimated him!

Cody

I’m worried about next episode with how this one ended. That hero is for sure dead, and Shigaraki is really fast so I’m worried about Mic. Shigaraki could also just destroy the whole estate, but I don’t think he’d risk destroying his army too even if it’d destroy the heroes.

2022-12-31 00:41:21 What a great episode & reaction. I really enjoy your discussion before the episode particularly this time because you were saying a lot of what I believe the show is trying to say especially about the society Horikoshi has created. And I love how it can connect to reality as well. Your tone of voice and what you said after you talked about people saying the sad/bad stuff was not stopping was relatable but funny. I love the first scene making us understand in extreme detail how versatile & strong Hawks really is. Tokoyami calling him sensei is cute. It’s hard to watch Hawks’s wings and then back get burned because even though it’s different I can relate to it because I sometimes have back pain that sucks a lot. It sucks that Dabi seemingly only cared about Twice’s power. However even though he says he doesn’t care about the league I don’t completely believe him. I think he does care about them somewhere deep down but what ever he wants is just so much more important to him. Also it’s crazy to see how strong his flames are here since we know it is damaging himself. The shot of him engulfed in flames especially the way his eyes are animated is terrifying. And then we get into the theorizing and me losing my mind thanks to this show LOL. Yeah so basically Hawks real name was basically erased by the hero safety commission so no one should know his name. However if Dabi is who we think his obsession would have led him to do research into anything and anyone connected to Endeavor which could have allowed figure out Hawks identity. And Hawks admirers Endeavor so he would know about Touya & his supposed death so it would definitely be shocking to hear that name from Dabi. Also I am so angry at the show for doing the character talking but the audience can’t hear thing it works well but still. He is 100% fucking Touya and at this point if not it would be ridiculous IMO. It says a lot about Stain’s impact and being a great character when he continues to be mentioned so much. I like the few seconds of first person perspective of Endeavor running down the hallway. Eraser is so damn useful it’s crazy. Mirko having fun fighting strong opponents is perfection and so entertaining. Her speed, resolve & determination is insane especially when getting so injured. The fact that she can rip out her own hair and keep going even when getting impaled is one of the most awesome things I have ever seen. She was able to cause a lot of important damage to the machinery & should be commended. It’s so interesting to see how intelligent the female high end is and how quick her thought process is. Also at this point before the next episode happened I was very for Eraser considering how she was talking about him. God it’s awesome to see the teamwork of the heroes. Mirko’s muscles being visible in her injuries & going through the cauterization is brutal. Endeavor being able to do that is important for any injuries since injuries getting infected is very dangerous. I love his gratitude towards her a lot his character development is fantastic. Her saying did I do something to me was her saying it was no big deal because it’s something anyone would do even if it’s beyond most people. It is cool that Mic’s attack being sound based is faster than the electricity when he breaks the machinery. It’s so cathartic to see him punch the doctor for the sake of his friend and he looks awesome. Seeing the doctor believe his dream has been lost and just give up is interesting since the audience is confident Shiggy is waking up somehow. It’s great to learn more about the doctor as a character. Also his quirk is crazy strong at most you can live for 200 years. This scene shows another monster hero society created and all for one was all too happy to reach out so of course the doctor would see him as a god. Also I don’t think it’s entirely accurate but I believe there is some truth to the singularity theory as the show goes on. Mic should be so angry so it says a lot about the doctor that he’s more disgusted. It’s very disturbing to see the doctor’s crazy laughter & tears along with the smile. Also it’s so horrifying that they were planning on killing Aizawa to take his power. As someone else I watch said Mic is a better person than me not attacking the doctor after hearing that. Mic is a character that doesn’t get a lot of focus so these moments were great. Before I forget I find it messed up that the high ends are aware of being turned into these monsters possibly implying at least one of them consented to being transformed but I’m unsure about that. At first I wasn’t sure if the Shigaraki stuff was spiritual or mental and in the end I settled on most of it being mental except for All for One looking like the vestiges being spiritual since now that Shiggy has the power they are now connected which is yet another connection with Izuku. I love how symbolic & beautiful yet tragic this mind scape is representing so many different parts of Shigaraki including his memories once being fractured. It makes me happy that though he’s still going on this dark path he no longer has anger or hatred toward his family aside from his father. Going through different versions of Shiggy was crazy seeing all the changes. It’s a great detail that the hands of his family holding him back are in the same places as the hands that used to be all over his body. I love that while the rest of his family is holding him restrictively when Nana appears she very gently puts her hand on his head not restricting him just wanting him to remember his origins. Unfortunately Shigaraki cannot forgive & will no longer allow himself to be restricted. Him disintegrating them is powerful after everything he’s gone through even if it’s really bad. There being just enough electricity to wake him up is convenient & lucky almost like it’s fate. As soon as this one random hero we didn’t know anything about was left to deal with him I was completely sure the guy was going to die. I think it’s great that you go back and watch to clarify things I appreciate your passion. And yeah Shigaraki has the original & probably more powerful AFO power which is… Just great LOL. I am laughing to deal with my fear. Dark reflection is a great way to describe what’s going on with the heroes and villains in this show. Awesome reactions & keep up the great work. :-) <3

Thank you!!! I'm so glad you enjoy my reaction / discussion here!!! And that my tone of voice during that one discussion was relatable haha. Yes I love the mentor/student bond that Tokoyami and Hawks seem to have! Oh no, I'm so sorry you have to go through that with the back pain! Back issues are brutal! I think you could be right that Dabi does care deep down, but he's just blinded by his own agenda at the moment. LOL this show can just send ya into a spiral of theorizing right?! The animation was awesome and that's a great point about Dabi having unlimited access to knowledge about people connected to Endeavor if he is who we think he is. Yes good point, Hawks would be especially surprised since he knows a lot about / admired Endeavor. It's gotta be Touya at this point right lol?! So frustrating they wouldn't let us here, I read in the manga they actually blacked out the panel, omg!!!!!!!!! Eraser is awesome and Mirko is just an amazing force of nature!! The teamwork is top notch and the female high end was fascinating to watch. Present Mic's punch was soooo satisfying!!! It is interesting to learn about the doctor for sure, what a quirk!! Yeah Mic definitely has more restraint than me too!!! Crazy that they wanted Aizawa. And oh good call, the high ends are aware they they've been turned - disturbing! Yeah I think they're kind of like the OFA vestiges only the AFO version maybe? Good call about the hands being in the same location, that makes it hit even harder! Oh that's interesting about Nana being so gentle too, it's a shame he rejected all that. The disintegration was a powerful image for sure! I'm so happy you liked my reaction and appreciate my passion!!! I do love this show so much!!! I can't wait to see what's next! Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and sorry for taking forever to write back!!!!! I enjoyed reading what you have to say!!! ^_^
