Hey everyone!  Here I am with Jojo season 1, episode 1!!!  Wow guys, they wasted no time escalating things in this ep!  I knew THAT SCENE was coming but it didn't make me hate Dio any less!!!!!!!!!!  Also poor Jojo, just getting wrecked.....for trying to be a nice guy?  For existing???  Not sure where we go from here but dang are we off to one heck of a start!!!  I'm so pumped to finally be checking out this series in its entirety!!!!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Heh, my first time watching this reaction. And yup, Dio's a jerk. :D

Here's come Dio, one of the anime most remarkable villain in history. Anyway, some people might suggest that you should start from part 3, but to understand the character history, you must start from part 1. Some people also said that their favorite are part 2. But I like part 3 4 5 better, for that theyvare interesting. Whenever I rewatch Jojo, if it not necessery, I usually skip path 1 and 2. Anyway, it still a requirement to watch both paths if you are new to the series. I can't say if you will enjoy or not. If the keyword for SPY×FAMILY is elegant, then this series is BIZARRE!

Ohhhhh so that's why he uses dogs that way, cause I gotta say, the one way to make me IRREVOCABLY HATE SOMEONE is to see them harm a dog...........so I guess that's why they're doing it :/

That's why I want to skip the first ep everytime I went back to watch Jojo. People might think first part is the worst of overall, but it still contains some cool scenes. Come to think of it, I was coming up with the idea of the parody of that scene where Dio did that to Erina. Some random bad guy gonna try mimicing that scene to one of my character, but then, her friend will save her by placing the shoe that just stepped on dog sh*t in her place. And then he will be the one to say the line. "You thought your kiss will be with my friend, but it was my shoe!"

I knew you were going to love Dio the moment you said you were starting this. He’s a cinnamon roll, isn’t he? :D I should note, though - you do know his voice actor. He’s Zeke in AoT. So let’s see… were there any triggers of yours in there they DIDN’T push? Now, regarding what he did to Erina - remember this is going on in the late 1800s when things in society were far more modest. Forcing yourself on a girl to steal a kiss like that might be like “oh, that’s not so bad” - but it might as well have been the stigma of being a sexual assault victim back then. So naturally there’s going to be blowback because of it. Meanwhile, the real problem is that Jojo’s father doesn’t see what’s really going on - and the son of his would be murderer is putting on the act of the perfect child. Also, there’s something I want to say about your post reaction comments but I just can’t yet. I’ll let you know when I think it’s safe but bookmark this note. 😂 PS: considering the “nature” of this series, you probably will want to record lighter fare afterwards if you’re doing several reactions at once. :)

Man the dad is a really bad judge of character geez. The show definitely has the right name. Everything is very dramatic lol but it's unique in that way. Wow I want a moment of silence fir Danny, that was a lot of horrible for a first episode. 😔 🐕

Great point about Erina, it was still an awful thing to do, I just was honestly thinking it was going to get even worse from there, I'm so glad it didn't! Yeah Jojo's dad has a bit of a perception problem I think lol. Ooohhh I'll be curious about the bookmark! I couldn't agree more about filming, fortunately this one is being filmed with Rebels for now which is a good balance haha!

Hello, Melissa! So, this is the first episode of that one adventure I've heard so much about... yeah, not too bizarre yet--apart from the very clearly important mask. But I know nothing going into this, except maybe a 3 or 4 memes. I've mostly just tuned it out, so this will be fun. But yeah, all the setting up for this rivalry is happening, typical horrible judge of character on the anime parent's part as usual, and RIP Danny. Episode 2, let's go!!

Ah Dio...the one I love to hate, such a good villain! Jonathan is okay but a bit too chivalrous in my book :p The conflict between Dio and Jojo is really iconic, it's one of my favorite parts in the saga :)

I have returned also super glad you are reacting to Jojo now since I know you've seen episode 1 not everything bad happens to dogs The creator loves them I'm pretty sure somebody already told you this I'm pretty sure this only ever happens maybe two more times in the whole series but I could be wrong but yeah

Also what did you think of the opening Because you're going to be hearing a lot of bangers for this whole series I myself love the animation they use and it's cool then the first few seconds it shots of the manga panel from other people of the Joe Star family also how the opening does manga shots

Of course nothing like the original also you wouldn't believe that the manga started back in 1987 and an anime adaptation wasn't made until 2012 the only other adaptation was a 6 episode ova from back in 1993 the first two parts of the anime part 1 and two are pretty short considering part is 9 episodes long and part 2 is 17 I say this considering the length of the other parts 3, 4, 5 also for part 3 and forward which subs would use I don't want to spoil it unless you already aware of a few aspects but from everyone else who's done a reaction from part 3 going forward they use certain subs the say is the unofficial official subs

Also I've wanted to ask for this coming new year will you consider doing more Western animated series? Like and these are just examples I don't know if you watched them already like in terms of teen titans, avatar the last Airbender, young justice, over the garden wall, spider man those kinds of shows (those were just some of the top of my head)

Yeah I'd heart that about the manga coming out in the 80s! That's interesting that a short series came out in the 90s. Yeah I've heard about the sub situation after Part 2! I just started Part 2 (reactions being released this Thursday) but when we get there, I think I'll have to look into watching it somewhere else. Oh yes, thanks for the reminder on other animation! Honestly right now I'm pretty booked up on shows and will probably not replace a few of my shows after I'm done with them just to lighten my load. But at some point I'm totally open to watching some new animated shows!! I've seen all of those except for Invincible, which I hear really good things about!!
