Hey everyone!!!  I'm back with episode 4 of Andor!  Oooh, we're moving things along in this one!  Cassian's making way to his new mission but, his new crew might have some doubts about him coming on board.  I'm even more curious about the guy who recruited him now, and loved seeing him flex those acting muscles!!!  OMG Mon Mothma!!!  I didn't know she was married!  She carries a heavy burden for sure.  And now we've got someone else interested in this case?  Again?!  We can't catch a break!  Can't wait to see more!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Luthan seems to be doing a lot of go betweens behind the scenes - he’s delivered Cassian to Aldhani, and then is fronting a business in Coruscant. What exactly is his rank in all this? Vel very specifically told him that Luthan is not to be mentioned under any circumstances. It’s not a surprise that Vel’s crew reacted negatively upon gaining a new member so late in the game, but she’s doing the exact same thing Luthan put her through. The Rebels all have doubts but they band together for the greater good… kind of the opposite of the Empire. TIE Fighters certainly have a unique sound but they’re not very stealthy, are they? You knew there was going to be fallout from Karn’s “freelance work” on Ferrix. It’s exactly as the Chief Inspector said to him: his meddling got the Imperials to notice them. And they’re not happy… I do believe Luthen’s secretary is in the know as she deliberately was distracting the driver in the store while he and Mon Mothma had their REAL conversation. Like she said, everyone is being watched. It seems Mon’s husband is very aloof to the whole of the issues the Empire is causing, and she is not. Another example of the rich being completely oblivious to things that don’t affect them directly I suppose. But I wonder if she’s more upset about the dinner plans because it might be bad timing. So the Empire forced the citizens of Aldhani to relocate, dammed up their water supply for their own use, and took their jabs for themselves. This seems like it might be a historical reference… Oh by the way we have a small window involving air explosions to pilot a very slow cargo ship away from very fast TIE fighters. I suppose it had to be a challenge right? There’s two sides to Imperials it seems. There is the one side that’s fiercely loyal and desperate to do their job right, and then there’s the disgruntled side, which might explain why a Garrison soldier is helping out Vel’s crew. Both sides are being squeezed. Seems like the loyal side to the Empire is all looking to get ahead, we saw Karn do it in the first few episodes, and now we see Dedra pursuing the starpath unit and sniffing out the Rebels but the higher ups are too arrogant as we say over and over… I get the feeling these two might be joining forces at some point. Also if we’re still focusing on Karn, remember, he’s one of the few people who would recognize Cassian if he saw him again. Lots of threads to untangle still!

Luthen is so cool, being almost like Batman, where he is this vendetta driven vigilante in front of Cassian, but his public image is more Bruce Wayne, where he is playing the innocent art dealer, which gives him access to money, information from powerful clients, and he can give the excuse when not at his dealership, that he is off gathering relics. And speaking of relics Mel, there are two in the background at his shop, that are from Rebels. One of which you'll see a variation of, in the next episode! Also they mention Ryloth and 'anti-Imperial activity' there, which is obviously Cham Syndulla and Numa causing a rumpus! Great to see more from Mon Mothma about how the imperials are looking at her very closely, that she is being spied on left, right and centre, how her drivers keep changing, how she is being undermined in the senate, and at home from her husband too, so she has to be on guard all the time, and the is at the end of her tether. Cassian on his first mission under Luthen, and that they need money to fund their missions, as Mon Mothma, Luthen (and you'd think Bail who is the consort of the Queen of Alderaan, who is extremely rich) etc don't have access to the funds they used to with the Empire keeping tabs on them. Will be interesting to see how this heist goes. I have a feeling its not going to go well. I wasn't one to critique the production quality of Book Of Boba Fett or Kenobi; but this show looks STUNNING! The sets, location shots (one here of my very own Highlands!), set dressing and designs, all show the money that was spent on this series, and it shows. It ended too soon though, a sign of a very good show, where you want to see more! Can't wait till next week.

Yeah I'm not sure about Luthan, he's definitely not just a member of our team. Yeah good point that Vel is doing just what Luthan did to her. Hahahah nope TIE fighters lack stealth quite a bit! Oh yeah, they attracted the Empire's attention and that is not a good thing. I think you're right about the secretary. Yeah I guess it's easier to ignore stuff when you're at the "top" but that has to be excruciating for Mon! I'm sure the timing doesn't help. Hahaha yeah it couldn't possibly be easy! Yeah there's quite a contrast in the Imperial forces. Good call that Karn would recognize Cassian....I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up teaming up with Dedra!! Still lots to do for sure!

kamenriderhime

Yeah he's totally got a Batman vibe! And especially a Bruce Wayne type thing going on. Oh the Ryloth reference!!! I need to go back and see the relics too! Poor Mon, she can't catch a break at work or at home. Yeah I'm not sure about this heist, and it really says something that even these folks in positions of quite a bit of power and resources and wealth have their hands tied to a degree when it comes to funds. Yeah the production quality here is fantastic! Yes this week should be interesting, can't wait!!!

There’s a lot of really awesome Easter eggs in Luthen’s museum. The helmet of Starkiller (Vader’s secret apprentice from the Force Unleashed games), a mask that Plo Koon’s species wears, Mandalorian armor, and a couple that I can’t talk about cause they’re spoilers. But they’re really cool and I’m so happy that they went through the effort to include all of them. Also, when Luthen gave Cassian the crystal, he briefly mentions a race of people called Rakatan, which is a reference to the beloved video game Knights of the Old Republic. And cause you brought up the Senate still being around, the Senate isn’t dissolved until the Death Star is fully online, so we still have a while till the Senate is irrelevant.

kamenriderhime

Oh wow!!! No kidding, I need to go back and look! So cool that they took the time. And good call about the Senate, they will be around for a little while longer at least!
