Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to season 2 episode 24 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime!  Finally, we see Rimuru put an END to Clayman!  So satisfying.  And lots of other orders of business to deal with here too - such as folks stepping down as demon lords, and therefore a new name for the current group!
Good thing Rimuru is good at naming!  :P  Oh yeah, and the Harlequins actually seemed to take it very hard about Clayman's death.  Wonder where all this could lead up to when the story is continued...!!!  What an awesome finale and a great series!  Can't wait for more!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Hi Hime :) I knew the revelation of Milim being Veldora's niece would make you react. Like the fact that she was not manipulated, we can applaud her talent as an actress. Luminus Valentine is the famous goddess that the church worships, so when Hinata and the others say they don't want a town of monster, it's pretty hypocritical when your goddess is a Vampire. But hey, now it should be better, after all Hinata failed in her murder and Luminus also accepted Rimuru as a demon lord, with a non-aggression treaty in force, the church will no longer be a concern. About Noir, Rouge and the other colored demons, I would just say that some people around Rouge have blue and green hair. For Clayman and the Harlequins, I said you would learn more, Clayman was a member of the Harleqin, the weakest even, before becoming a demon lord, so that lets you understand that the rest of the Harlequins and Kazalim will be without doubt the next threat. But before that, instead of a third season, you'll get a movie that's supposed to be released next year if I remember correctly, and from what I could see from the trailer, it's about an old acquaintance of Benimaru. So it will do at least that to keep an eye on it.

Hmm very nice reaction glad i could witness it as it came out.. yeah.. few things that i.. not dislike but.. would like differenly.. first kinda shame Milim was out of the picture.. and didnt witness Rimuru becoming a demon lord.. which she was the one who asked him if he dont want to become one.. they didnt even talk about it.. or like didnt congratulate him (even though he didnt do it because he wanted.. it was to save his friends but still) and also.. :D RImuru using just single spell agains.. like last boss :D not a big fan when they do that.. :/ but i guess Claiman even in his final form wasnt strong enough for Rimuru to go.. like all out or even kinda serious :D and that ending... where Laplace met Hinata.. why she didnt go after him ?? :D it kinda felt like a order to not chase... just protect the place :D very intruiging.. cause she definitely could kill Laplace and save the guy..

So before I forget - I don’t think Milim being Veldora’s niece really shocked me like it did you. It’s a matter of simple math: there are four True Dragons and she’s the child of one of a dragon. It was almost a given, but since she’s not HIS kid, he really only is connected to her by association and nothing direct. Rimuru vs Clayman - it’s time for a Death Battle… oh wait, it’s over already! And just after we finished the opening song. Hoo boy, that was… something. Something caught my attention the second time through. Valentine when she was revealed was referred to by Veldora as Luminus. This is the same name of the god that Hinata and rhe Western Holy Church are loyal to. So… is their monster hating sect being run by a Demon Lord!? I think Frey and Carrion are going under Milim’s wing because they know the worst thing for her is responsibility… and after all she’s out them through, this is payback. Seriously though, how’d you stay that stoic that long? I feel like I don’t know her at all now… I’m not sure what Yuki is up to but you can bet it’s no good, and we might not be done with the MHA (Moderate Harlequin Alliance in this case - yes I know the acronym can be used for another meaning :D) especially how Laplace took out Valentine’s servant. Something more is going on, and we haven’t even dealt with Leon, either. Veldora begging Rimuru for the best volume… you can’t relate to that at all, right? :) So from what I HEAR, there’s a another season in the works, but there’s also a movie coming out. I don’t know if it’s part of the plot ska Demon Slayer or it’s a standalone story. It’s supposed to hit in November in Asia and early next year in America, that’s all the info I have at the moment. Time to take a vacation to Tempest until the next season comes out? Hope you enjoyed the ride! 😁

You got me thinking about Rimuru's Beelzebub Skill. This Skill is kind of what a Slime is, but here Rimuru originally wanted this skill, and it defines him. First it is his belief that you can have it all, after all, it's the Lord of Gluttony. It represents his ideals of making everyone smile, and getting everything he wants when another person would just give up. He refuses to let go of what's important to him. And even his determination to not let any of his people die shows that. But Beelzebub also embodies destruction, nothingness and devouring. You could argue Rimuru had to use this, his most intrinsic and powerful offensive Skill, to win and display his true nature. It's possible, too, that Clayman could have separated from his body and slipped away if he weren't absolutely devoured, and it was a precaution to allow Raphael to check that Clayman's soul was utterly annihilated. Also Rimuru could cast Thought Acceleration on Clayman to punish him. Just some thoughts.

I am so happy you enjoyed this series. As you can easily tell, I'm a bit obsessed, lol. I look forward to watch together with you any other Slime-related series..... Have you noticed that Rimuru likes to punch his foes? Maybe it's the satisfying basic physicality of it... Now I can confirm that Frey and Carrion are not True Demon Lords, they just have the Seed. They were accepted by the other Demon Lords as part of their council, so were called Demon Lords.... Ah, yes, the all-important food. Actually Guy did provide a gourmet meal later that included a lot of this world's delicacies, that prompted Rimuru to get Raphael to steal-- I mean recreate-- the recipes so he could eat them at home. Frey, Carrion, and Leon didn't stick around for it. Another order of business was the redistribution of territory. Rimuru got the entire Jura Forest, not just the one-third he had up until now. Milim got her old one plus Carrion's, Frey's, and Clayman's. This is enormous. Everyone else remained the same.

Yeah that can’t be it. We can’t let him get away free with all that manga. This series was really neat, and fun, surprising at times. It has everything and I can’t wait for more. So many ppl really love this show and just can’t stop talking about it. I can understand why now 😭 ❤️

And what about Kamen Rider's monster? Which monster will be on the same level as theirs? Anyway, there are some details that never make it to the anime adaption. In manga and novel, the party after Clayman's defeat has a lot of delicious meals, and it is top-tier meal. More to that, the scene Guy convinces Rimuru to name their group, in the manga, he has BITE Rimuru's ear while whispering to him. Put a huge impact on both Rimuru and readers. The table breaking scene might be more intense and brutal. About the fox, it is followed Rimuru's group back to Tempest. I bet it will be named sometime after this. Alright, season 2 is ended. There is the movie that planned to be release November 25, 2022 in Japan. The name is "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond". However, it's not related to any part during the story line, might be the original story. Season 3 is not announced yet. But if it is out, I bet that the second half will be my favorite part of the overall series. If we divided Tensura in different story parts, it will be. Rimuru and Shisu >> The Ogre and Orc Lord >> Milim & Charybdis >> Shizu's students and Ramiris >> Attack of Falmus >> The Walpurgis >> ??? >> ??? and so on. (These are not the official name) And the second ??? I mentioned there is my best part that I considered my favorite, that's why I deeply believe that it will make it to season 3. Oh my god, I can't wait for it, I heard that the manga version is about to arrive that part. Just have to check it out. Ok then, we get back to Geats! See you!

The story of the movie is an original story written by the author. (BTW, his name is Fuse, which makes me wonder if there's a reason the Guildmaster from Blumund is named Fuze. Is this coincidence or is there a deliberate similarity, possibly to indicate Fuze is an alter ego of the author?) Anyway, back to the movie, it seems it's more of a side story not described in the main series. I have been looking diligently, but I have yet to see a confirmation of a third season.

Dethrox - that's true that it would have been fun to see Milim's reaction to everything! Yeah I guess they were implying a huge power difference between Rimuru and Clayman now! Good question about Hinata, I'm not sure exactly! Donna - you make a great point about both the inspiration behind, and reasoning for using, Beelzebub here. Ooof the prolonging of suffering is brutal but after all Clayman has done I welcomed it lol. Also wow lol, there's lots of parallels with Kamen Rider here isn't there?? Well, that is a good point that there's only so many dragons lol. Hahah I was just as happy to see Clayman finally bite the dust here, I was done! But yeah, Rimuru hardly broke a sweat! Yeah someone else brought that up about Luminus - I didn't even catch it, but I think that's exactly what it means! WOW!! Talk about hypocrisy! Thank you, I really loved it! It's a good one to be obsessed with for sure! I hope we can watch other Slime series as well - I know I still have the Slime Diaries to watch at some point! Oh yeah, he does like to punch doesn't he? Good call about them not being true demon lords, too! Hahaha of course it prompted Rimuru to do that! Glad they had some food later on, I was getting woozy from hunger just watching! That's awesome about getting all of the forest right! That's also a huge amount that Milim got!!!! Interesting!!! I know others mentioned about the Slime Movie so here's another bump: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond announces its much-awaited release date along with a new poster. The series’ official Twitter account posted the information earlier today, stating the film will be coming to theaters in Japan on November 25. Crunchyroll will distribute the movie in cinemas worldwide in early 2023. I have deleted the paragraph talking about what the movie is about so you can enjoy going in fresh. Also I do believe the movie is considered a standalone movie with original story as its not included in the Light Novels (or at least not that I'm aware of).
