Hey everyone!  I'm back today with Kamen Rider Geats episode 2!!!  We get even more world building in this one, including learning about the game, why we're doing it, how it works, etc. all in very broad terms....certainly with lots of room of more juicy details to be expanded upon later.  We also get to know Ace a bit more, and I gotta say, he is one mysterious, gorgeous, complicated man...who I'm also pretty sure is a big softie!!!  We get yet another "elimination" and this time it's someone we actually know....so yeah, this is gonna be intense!  Can't wait for what's coming next!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Ace straight up made a world where he everyone just SIMPS for him XDDD. The new opening is pretty much a BANGER! and the fact that they got Shonan no Kaze to be the other featured singers Aka the people who sang GAIM'S THEME SONG! The way Ace just fricking PLAYED Keiwa! Such a Tsukasa move and actually something similar that happened in KR Kabuto, but he really did help Ginpen's son in the end, just what is Ace's deal????? As for the Gimmicks, I like the fact that Boost is a one time-item for each round. Zombie getting everyone some Genm + Horobi vibes, Dapaan aka the panda just straight up took Geats' base form buckle, and he already looks like someone I wanna punch in the face, he legit looks like he would be related to Micchi from Gaim, also would u also believe the actor for Buffa is only 18??? He looks atleast 24!! Also another fun fact, Neon-chan's actor has a real youtube channel. Too bad Kamen Rider Ginpen was also another instant casualty of this game, but they featured him in the opening, so I think its gonna be an Ex-Aid situation where deceased Riders will be missing or glitched out from the opening.

Man, I thought Ginpen was going to last longer than he did... They say the Shield Raise Buckle is the weakest, but so far the two people we've seen use the Bow has been eliminated while the one Shield user we've seen survived. 🤣 The Bow Raise Buckle is cursed, I tells ya.

Hi Hime :) I really like the idea of fighting for a wish/desire, because it's bound to bring drama. As we have seen, Neon quickly found a partner, Keiwa and the one who interviewed him both had legitimate wishes, so if those who have wishes like that clash, who would we like to see win ? A perfect way to engage the viewer. In this regard, a death from the second episode... They go there hard for the atmosphere. Ace is a kitsune, as he said, an animal that is used to tricking people, so we can't be sure what Ace is saying right now is the truth or not. Which will bring a lot of interesting elements to discover him in the future. Speaking of trap, the organizers of the game are not clear on their purpose either, another interesting element to dig into. With all that, the series seems to be on its way to surprise us.

Ok, it's kinda weird that I start writing comments from episode 2. But let's get into it! First, The ID core is the one that rest in the center of the belt which has the emblem of the riders. Geat's is the white one with fox symbol, while Tycoon is green one with Tanuki symbol. And items that the riders use to transform is called "Raise Buckle". Among Raise Buckles, there are rank of it like the Lockseeds. The Armed type which are small buckles are considerate as the low-rank item, while Magnum, and Zombie are one of the high-ranks. Among those high-rank raise buckle, Boost is super high-rank! When you look at Geats status in different forms, every form using the Boost buckle is always rise his status seriously high! It might be the S rank out of the Raise Buckles existing. Now, I'm going to predict who will survive this game. The rider who will survive this game are Geats, Tycoon, Nago, and Buffa. Well, one of them might die on the Christmas (especially when this year Christmas is on Sunday, when Kamen Rider is air. Remember what's happen to Kiriya and Jin during Christmas episode?), but I'm pretty sure that they are the main characters. Reason is, they having the unique accesory in their Entry Form. Geats' is his scarf, Tycoon and Buffa has something on their leg, and Nago having something like a headphone, and even some bracelet I think. More to that, those are the characters who presented at the press conference when they announce the series, which also included Tsumuri, sum up 5. So, I think they will soon recieve their personal buckle and become like Geats and Buffa. It might be bad, but at the time Mr. Taira, Kamen Rider Ginpen, showing his family photo, I was like... oh damn, he's gonna die. And seems my prediction is true. Talking about your wish or your beloving are the forbidden things to do in the life or death situation. With that, he's out. Also, the bear we seeing in this episode is not the same with the previous one. The previous one is Kamen Rider Shirowe, the polar bear (Shirokuma). And this one is Kamen Rider Da-Pann, the Panda. They are transformed by different persons. It pretty amuse me when I see Geats really whack up bad guys with his water gun. It's really long enough to do so. Another time is when he transform with Water buckle when he's with Keiwa. The logo effect of the item just pushed him off! The last time I see this kind of thing is when Sougo transforming into Grand Zi-O, and Tsukuyomi who stands on his back just run away because the Riders' statue gonna emerged. Not sure with the mass number that eliminated before, but if they are all died, then it will be a huge number of sacrifice through. Tsumuri, as the game navigator, I'm not sure if she's happy or not when seeing someone died. I mean, when Ginpen is died, she's seems to be sad, which is kinda weird for the survival and life or dead game navigator. It's pretty confused me that if Jyamatos are not related to the DGP, and DGP really established to get rid of Jyamato, then why are the items drop from them? Or are they really stolen? A trickster fox Geats is, interestingly, althrough he saying that's he lied, he's actually help Ginpen's son. Since the time their characters are presented at the conference, we expecting him to be a trickster who fool people to win the game. And he really did his job, but more to that, he cancelled his lied with the donation for Ginpen's son. And what they show off Ace in the opening is really bother me. Well, when you binded someone, you usually use chains. Kamen Rider Kiva is playing with chain before too. But in his case, it's the Needle Wires. And when I see the DGP logo, the wires also presented there! Talking about the wire, you not only forbid from struggle, but you also get damage for the action. What are the meaning of this? Anyway, poor Keiwa, he's losing his S-rank item for just a lie of the fox. But Tanuki, his animal motif, is also well known for deceiving people. We will see if that's apply in the future. I spotted something off with the subtitle here. When the game is ended, Tsumuri said "Until then, I bid you adieu." Somehow, this line appears for really short time, and its kinda different from what I heard, I pretty sure she doesn't said Adieu. And what make me think of this is that, the phase "Bid them adieu" uis actually a famous phase of one Super Sentai Series "Lupinranger vs Patrenger" using by the Lupinrangers, and its even listed in their opening lyrics. I wondered why it's here. Alright, since this round is the treasure hunt game, what do you think the next game is? Until then, see you! Fun Fact: Seems that the Jyamatos are really speaking something that have meanings. Even though we don't know what they saying, but it seems that it is their language, and seems someone is already decoded their speech, but I don't know about that. Weekly Raise Buckle Armed Water: Used by Geats to summon a water gun, which is a repainted version of Kamen Rider Build: FireHedgehog form's Fire Truck water hose. Armed Hammer: Used by Nago, summoning a hammer that is seems to be a repainted of one of the Gaim's rider. Armed Shield: Used by Mary, summoning a shield which is seems to be a repainted of Fourze's shield. Zombie: A personal buckle used by Buffa. Interestingly, while other buckle announced their name directly when inserted in Geats' Magnum Shooter 40X, but the Zombie is announcing "Poison" instead. Like the Progrise keys, while every other keys announced their animal motif when press their trigger one more time after activation (For Rising Hopper, after you press it, it will says "Jump!", and if you press it again, it will say "Grasshopper's Ability". But Fuwa's Shooting Wolf is the only one that doesn't announce the real world animal. Instead, it says "Werewolf's Ability"

Oh, forgot one thing. After Ace got his desire to be the superstar, he's pointed out that Tsumuri is unaffected by his fame. That's what he's mean the limitation he trying to figure out.

You know, your Squid Game comparison doesn’t seem to be far from the truth… So the overriding thing I’ve noticed so far is that we seem to be following Keiwa’s POV and NOT Ace’s. Obviously you’ve seen way more KR than I have, but without dropping any specific spoilers, can you think of any series where the title rider of the series was not the actual protagonist of the story? Because that would be an interesting concept if it’s what they’re going for. It seems this is sort of a game but also sort of… not? They eliminated every one without an item when the Jyamoto showed up unexpectedly so apparently this is not completely under their control. So did they just kill all those people without a second thought? That’s harsh. The ID Core is different from the “treasures” they obtained from the first battle, those just seemed to be different weapons. When the game host first showed up I saw the white suit and immediately thought “Gai’s back?” Was I wrong there? 😅 Also I believe they were told specifically not to fight in the lounge. Outside doesn’t seem to be specified. Also if the bull (Buffa) is still around you don’t technically have to win or die…? As soon as a side character tells someone about a tragic motivation it’s a death flag, we all saw it coming. As soon as Ace goes in talking about the kids I started getting suspicious. You just ate it up. It’s only Episode 2, you should know by now it’s way too early to reveal why anyone is doing anything. 🙃 Also Neon is a cat… Neon… Katt… I see what they did there. (Also another RWBY reference! XD) I wonder if Ace granted the boss’s wish because he failed his mission? It’s really hard to figure him out so far. He’s got an aura of mystery around him, and I expect it will take a while to learn anything concrete. Because shows DO like to string us along! PS: Oh, Don’t forget to jump back into the Slime 2x20 comments before too long! Have a good weekend! :)

Yeah it's interesting about Ace, he's deceptive yet there's definitely more to it than that. Oooh, didn't even notice that about the wires, kind of a scary thought! Yeah I'm afraid it's not too far off! You're right, we're definitely following Keiwa more as the MC, which, as far as I've seen with Kamen Rider, is unusual as you point out. Yeah there's lots of killing so far it seems!!! Definitely harsh! Good call on the treasures, thanks for clarifying. Hahahahah there's only one white suit dude in your book hmm? Ohh yeah good call about Buffa, guess you don't have to win or die. I did just eat it up, I should have known better, total death flag!
