Hey everyone!  Here I am with episode 10 of Spy x Family, yayyyyy!!!  Oh man, as if our show wasn't wacky enough, let's throw dodgeball into the mix!!!  Gotta say, if our girl can survive training with Yor, then she can truly do anything!  Loved all the shonen-anime-style build up and hype just for the ball to fall flat, literally.  And at the end of the day, everyone's just trying to please their dad!!!  Oh yeah, and Damian's body pretty much acted on its own here, and just for a second, there was a glimmer of hope for the Friendship Scheme!!!  Oh well.  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Once, there is an Ultraman who use a massive energy ball-like attack to finish a monster. Someone just ELEGANTly edit it and showed that the ball that hit the monster seriously was actually Yor's ball. (With Ultraman's theme hook.)

Hi Hime :) Yor had a lot of fan when the show aired, now you understand why, she is top tier waifu lol It's still cute, that each in their own way, tries to do everything to make this "false" family work. Loid by trying to deal with his paranoia, Yor by becoming a good wife, and Anya by getting both of her parents to get along. Yuri who doesn't want Loidy to be with Yor, but can't find fault with him, if I was a yaoi fan I'd almost ship them both lol. In the group photo, Damian is alone, his relatives were not there... That's what he was looking at. I knew the dodgeball game would make you laugh, especially with this 6 year old giant... The references to the different sports anime and others were also excellent (like the passage on Namek lol). It must have sent back some memories of Gon and Killua against Laser.

You know, after all the craziness of the last episode, it was time to return to My Hero WAKUdemia, where Master Henderson is about to elegantly teach his class to… oh, Damian and Anya are fighting again. The fact that Anya got a Tonitrus Bolt on her first day has made the teachers concerned, and it’s probably made her job that much harder. Loid obviously doesn’t have much to do in this episode, which might be just as well, because after our discussion of the last episode Yor really does need to feel useful. Although… this whole training montage… I’m not sure if we’re making fun of Rocky or not (it’s an old meme), but is anyone else concerned what this will do for Anya’s “plans” later? 😅 It does seem Damian is living in the shadow of his brother as well, so maybe one of the reasons he’s so mean to Anya is he’s got this massive inferiority complex. It might be a cliché, but he’s very likely mad at his dad and not her, she’s just an easier target. There’s so many freaking anime or movie tropes in the dodgeball scene that it’s pretty hard to peg them all. What’s Bill been eating, and I don’t remember that many competitions in kindergarten either! However at least one person must a Blake fan because I heard Shadow Clone used! (I wonder what RWBY playing Dodgeball looks like now… oh wait we got that in Chibi!) Also you haven’t seen the show, but I’m pretty sure that last bit with Anya’s move was a Jojo’s reference. “There’s always time for a Jojo’s reference!” Well… THAT was anticlimactic! 😂 It figures Damian and Anya would almost get their Stella and then get in their own way. Kids these days, I tell ya! Housekeeping note/idea: you’ll have one week off after the last two episodes before new ones begin, if the info is correct. Since Mob Psycho 100 is coming back on the 5th, why not use the “dead week” to watch the movie length OVA of that series you haven’t yet, and then slot both of them back into the schedule the following Friday? That way you’re not doing any more reactions than you already are. Just a thought since you’ll have that one week of dead air. Anyway, more shenanigans are definitely in the cards. WAKU WAKU!

Yes!!! Just starting to watch Ultraman so I'm slow to appreciate these things fully but still. OHHHH that's what the ball was, interesting!

Hi Spadeas! :) Yes I totally get it, she's amazing! That's the thing, they're working so hard to make it work, regardless of why! Hahaha I'm sure someone out there has that ship! OMG the references were killing me!!!! I couldn't stop thinking of HxH too!!!!!!!

2023-05-01 01:28:27 Wow! It's nice that you start watching Ultraman. However, I think Ultraman series has longer history than Kamen Rider, so it's gonna be a long way if you gonna watch it all. If I can reccomend, you might start at Mebius (2006, a year before Den-O). It's assembling most of the previous Ultras, so you will know about most of them breifly. Then Mebius' movies including 7 Ultra Brothers and 8 Ultra Brothers. Then you can follow the chronological produces series. Zero's movies > Ginga > Ginga S > Ginga S movie (this will introduce to some previous ultras that not mentioned in Mebius'. Each series after this except Z will have their own movies, so I gonna skip mentions them.) > X, and then another one that is my favorite "Orb"! Following is Geed, R/B, Taiga, Z which is also one of my favorite, Trigger, and latest series that is airing, Decker. Mebius, Orb, and Z are my favorites. But you might need some experience in Ultra moments before watching Z.

HAHAHAHAHAHA My Hero Wakudemia just almost made me do a spit take at my desk!!!! Yeah the bolt did not help things. Hahaha I can't imagine that teaching Anya all this won't backfire in some way, I did love the Rockey-esque montage though. And it was nice to see Yor do something with Anya! Yup, definitely get the idea that Damian's issues have more to do with his family situation than with Anya specifically. Hahahaha Bill is a bit mature for his age! Oh yes, I thought of Blake and also Naruto when I heard shadow clones mentioned. Ohhhh I wish I'd gotten the Jojo reference!!! I'm actually hoping I can watch it soon! Hahaha kids these days for sure, always setting themselves up to lose out on Stellas. Thanks for the housekeeping notes!!! So, I've kinda almost replaced everything already, although it might not all happen at once. Andor starts as RWBY is ending, Mob Psycho and more Spy x Family start in a few more weeks, and once HxH is over....well, I'll post more about that soon! Decker is like a reboot of the previous series called Ultraman Dyna. I didn't watch most of it, but seems everyone enjoy the series.

One important things is that every Ultramen seems to linked to each other canonnically in some way. So its better to watch them in chronological order.

Yes, Ultraman are much different, they seems trying to push their series to worldwide and let everyone in the world able to watch their series, while Rider and Sentai seems tried to bind their series to only Japanese people. A chronological order of Ultra series is important. If you watch Kamen Rider, there will mostly no way you gonna see previous riders appear in later series, except for anniversary Decade and Zi-O, and Wizard's special episodes. But for Ultraman, there are high chance you will see the previous Ultras in later main series. Zero is soneone who is called Ultraman Universe's Decade. He's able to go anywhere to meet his junior, and with universe connecting power, most ultramen after Zero are also able to appear in their junior series. There are many different universe in Ultra series, but the main one is the world of Mebius. Ultraman Mebius is made under the concept "what if previous Showa Ultras are all in the same world", which made all the Showa ultras able to meet with Mebius, each series after that point are considered as the parallel world. However, the ultras has power, or might just caught up in some situation, so they can appear in later series. Which make they different from riders.
