Hey everyone!  Here I am with Red vs. Blue, season 8, eps 10 - 13!  WHOA!!!!  OMG!!!!!!!!  Can someone explain to me what the heck that first episode even WAS?!  That was incredible!!!  I've never seen anything like that on this show, it was absolute fire!  The whole story of everyone trying desperately to not get killed by Tex was wildly entertaining lol.  With Caboose trying to use all the logic he has to think of a way out of it.  Oh yeah and CHURCH HAS A BODY AGAIN!!!!  WOOOHOOO!!!  Also Sheila sticking by Tex was a fun touch!  So, I guess the whole gang (minus Donut, sniffs) is back together now?!  Great eps!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Sarge actually had a reason to think they were dead this time. It's because he's been in lockdown before and Church convinced him it was Purgatory. This the obscure explanation for Sarge surviving Caboose shooting him in the head in season 1: his armor locked down to stop the blood loss and Grif was able to restart his heart through CPR. And as the only AI in the canyon, Church could talk to him and attempt to charge him money to guide him into heaven. So for once Sarge's tenuous grasp of reality is not his fault.

First off, yes that first episode is indeed “THE episode.” In fact, it was so dynamic and hard to describe that even RT couldn’t come up with a fun quirky title. They ended up just calling it: Chapter 10 - “This One Goes to Eleven.” Or maybe they meant the dial? Food for thought. Either way if Monty was introducing himself in Chapter 3, this was basically him flexing on EVERYONE. There’s a lot of callbacks in the fight as well, from Tucker always getting black stuff every time he goes through the teleported to the shenanigans with the portals themselves. Even Church getting beat over the head by his ball form by Tex is a nod to the story he told in Season 3, when he said “Tex pulled Private Jimmy’s skull out of his head and beat him to death with it.” To which everyone said “that doesn’t seem physically possible.” Speaking of physically possible, how’s are Grif’s testicles still intact and why is Tex on such a vendetta against them? I think we may have finally isolated the cause of Wash’s rage. Not only is he not getting paid overtime, but he’s been put in upper management… 😬 The reason Caboose’s armor doesn’t lock down is because he hasn’t upgraded to the latest model like everyone else. Everyone else has Mark VI, while he had Mark V. Back in Season 6, Church was getting on him about it, and his response was “in a top ten list, five is better than six!” Church: “We’re not a top ten list!” In this case, Caboose’s particular personality turned into an advantage. Also Sheila said she followed recovery mode procedure and locked down all units. That she could, anyway. Like I said, Caboose is immune to this process. Sheila’s pretty smart for an AI, maybe more guys should get her program so they know when it’s not a good idea to approach a woman? 😂 Despite her technical tone, she’s definitely got her own brand of sass. Also yes, she’s really FILSS, but we’re gonna continue to call her Sheila. Tex isn’t exactly grateful to be “revived,” but she did make the quip to Church “seems SOMEONE (heavily implicated)” can’t live without me.” The WMD team (hey that worked!) Has turned Epsilon’s old storage unit into a capture unit for the purpose of retrieving him. It should be noted however that it was mentioned the unit was not in good shape. Also Doc trying to psychoanalyze Wash is pretty funny. “Do you see the floating eye now…?” 🤣 Look guys, we get enough of this with Moon Knight, DONT YOU START TOO! 😅 There will be two more batches, since you asked. Also since you’ve got an OST to do I’ll release next season based on the assumption you plan on doing that soundtrack the week after finishing. Cheerio!

OHHHH that's what the title of the ep was for, I honestly did think it was referring to a dial lol, I guess either way fits! I remembered the black stuff when they referenced it, but not the story about Tex, that's such a great callback! Poor Grif's nether regions...may they RIP :P Oof, gotta say, that could contribute to Wash's turn for sure! Ohhh thanks for clarifying about why Caboose was immune!!! Hahaha perhaps Sheila would be quite the invaluable app for males?? I love her personality and yes, she's just Sheila to me now, despite actually being FILSS! Lol yes, I love that Tex and Church started trading quips so fast. Hey good name!! OMG do not get me started on the reality-questioning after Moon Knight lol!!!!!!! Oh thanks for clarifying on the batches! Yes, I'll probably do the soundtrack after the last batch and before whatever comes next for Season 9!!! Thanks so much! Have a great one!! :D

The Director does kinda allude to what might have happened to the person Tex is likely based on in his Final Memo in Season 6 Episode 19. He talks about the memory of her haunting him his entire life and how he couldn't serve in the Great War. And if he could he wonders if he could've saved her. Highly recommend listening to it again if you have the time.

2022-08-26 22:40:42 I love this set of episodes so much especially THE episode that being episode 10. Once again I enjoyed the discussion at the start of the reaction. Honestly yeah I love the more adult humor for the most part but it is nice to get some relief from it sometimes with innocent Caboose. Always love your love for him. Also you were right the stuff in this set of episodes was both good and bad LOL. Even RT knew how awesome this was with the title “this one goes to eleven” it went beyond the normal idea of awesome. This is one of the best episodes in the show from an action standpoint it’s absolutely incredible. The episode starting with the reds running for their lives is perfect. Also nice job noticing that it was threat level alpha. Sheila does have a rather cheerful sadism to her. Honestly the entire premise of all of them fighting for their lives as Tex systematically & completely decimates them is awesome, hilarious and all-around incredible. Before this show I would not have thought to describe how to use a sword as swish, swish and stab but now I never forget it I love that moment. I love how well done Tucker and Tex circling around each other as they size each other up. It always kills me to see Grif holding the cone like a weapon/shield especially with the line “protect me cone“ later. I love all the new and call back jokes but the best new gag here is Sarge feeling healed up after landing in a bunch of medical kits because in a lot of video games including Halo that’s how healing works. Honestly none of them stood a chance even Tucker the most skilled of the guys. There was so much great timing with the jokes as well as the action. It’s so cool when she knocks down 3 of them at once. Also I love Sheila kind of cheering her on. I love all the slow mo. I definitely think the best part was the explosive finale. Tex is most definitely a boss. Also poor Grif he didn’t really deserve that. What a great return for Church with a body. Your excitement & hype during episode 10 and the discussion was amazing to see. It will certainly get the blood pumping. I think you were snapping simply because of the overwhelming awesomeness LOL. It was interesting to hear you talk about how you feel about action in general. It’s hilarious to see Tex beating up Church after his apparent triumphant return because it's just what she does. It just feels like it’s back to business as usual. I think the armor lock technology is interesting and I love the added humor of why Sheila did not inform them of it. Unfortunate that it affected all of them. I think what makes the shenanigans surrounding Washington so funny is how he gets caught up in them but is dead set against them as well. Th Freelancers may be awesome but they certainly don’t get work benefits they deserve LOL. With all the serious stuff going on the humor and fun is certainly welcome as a breather. Nice to see that Sheila is supportive of Tex even if it’s not good for Church. I love that Sarge once again thinks he’s dead. The dialogue/interactions in that part were amazing especially from Grif. Also Sarge’s incomprehensible growling is fantastic. Talking about stress relief in regards to the Meta feels like an oxymoron. It’s unfortunate Church left behind the epsilon unit since it is now a dangerous weapon in Washington’s arsenal. Doc trying to mentally evaluate Wash is so good. The entire discussion on whether or not to wake up Tex is so ridiculous and I am here for it. I love the conversation between Church & Tex because it feels like a real conversation of a couple albeit a dysfunctional one. Also I think the things in this conversation can tell you a lot about Church & Tex in general. You would think Tucker would learn to stop himself with the jokes but no LOL. It’s great to see you talking about how much you love this show. Also I like your thoughts on these episodes. My favorite part of the fight in episode 10 was definitely the music. Jeff & other people working on the music were killing it. Also I miss Donut too :( <3. I think the important things we learned from this is don’t give Caboose and Tex is the ultimate badass. Episode 10 was fire!!! So glad you enjoyed my thoughts and also my love for Caboose haha. It's definitely nice to have him as a contrast to some of the raunchier humor. Oh yeah I vowed never to miss an Alpha reference again after the Church reveal a while back lol, thanks! The title really says it all right. Sheila is a little sadistic lol and I'm here for it! Hahahaha I had a feeling the med kits was a video game reference but since I've never played Halo I wasn't sure! And yeah, just watching everyone get torn apart with the most epic and hilarious lines was everything. And yeah, Sheila cheering her on made it even better! Poor Grif lol. And omg, the ending/return was epic!!!! So glad you enjoyed my reaction to it!!! Hahaha the awesomeness broke my brain for sure, and yeah, it's really saying something considering that action isn't even necessarily my favorite part of any given series. Yeah feels like we're back to business as usual haha. The armor lock tech was interesting for sure, it's too bad it had to affect all of them though lol. Yeah watching Wash get caught up in the silliness is so fun because he's just so determined not to....yet he does! But dang, Freelancers for sure need better benefits!! Sarge was amazing with the whole afterlife thing as I would expect from him haha. Sheila sticking with Tex is a nice touch, the ladies gotta stick together right haha! Oh I know, that is not a good thing that Wash has the epsilon unit now. OMG Doc doing his "eval" was amazing. The bickering with Church and Tex is so great and I agree that it's so telling. Also the bickering about whether or not to wake her was gold as well lol. Yeah Tucker needs to learn when to stop but that's not really his thing hehe. Oh the music was SO amazing!!!
