Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to season 1, episode 13 of REBELS!!!!  Oh NO!!!  Not Tarkin!!!!  Dang it guys, they've called in the big guns now that our crew has really stirred the pot and gotten some attention.  It was both a delight and totally icky to watch Tarkin do his thing haha.  But dang guys, are they really just gonna leave me with Kanan being captured here?!?!?  Guess this is where we ramp up to our season finale....!!!  Great ep!  Enjoy!!!  ~ MH

Oh i am pretty sure when Tarkin said " Oh i doubt that", to the explanation of the power of Kanan, that he was speaking the truth. Tarkin served with few jedi. The ones we knew, Anakin, Obi Wan, Ahsoka, and Master Piell. If you remember the Citadel Rescue mission? So he knew exceptional Jedi.

Haha yeah I think the last time you saw Tarkin, Mel, was at Ahsoka's trial? Yep he's come a long way since then and is now effectively the head of the Empire out in the field. The stakes are now serious with him involved and he will take no prisoners in his quest to restore order back in the Outer Rim to quell this rebel cell. Ezra with a call to arms though, in hope that it can indeed spark something. I always hark back to this poem by Shelley on revolt : 'Rise like Lions after slumber In unvanquishable number, Shake your chains to earth like dew Which in sleep had fallen on you - Ye are many - they are few.’ The Empire is formidable, has huge numbers, resources and has two Sith Lords in charge of them, and is developing tech it thinks will keep them in power for ever. However though it is indeed large, there are more people out there that can overthrow them, if they overcome their fear and band together; and that is what the Empire fears most of all.

He didn't want to lose his family again tears 😢 😭 💔

Oh yeah I think that was the last time! I was thinking more back to the Citadel mission. He's made a lot of progress in his career apparently :/ Whoa, that's a powerful poem!!! I think Ezra making a call to arms will be impactful for sure. That's the thing, the Empire is massive - but it's not the whole galaxy!!! It's a beautiful message that working together can make a difference :)

I love how close our little family has gotten to this point. I’ve put off watching this with you till tonight to see the finale tomorrow. Lol but yeah. Tarkin and the empire are about to learn you don’t mess with Hera’s man. Also, Ezra has lost one family. He is going to become a force to reckon with to protect his new one.

kamenriderhime

Me too!! Good call watching them all close together, yay! HAHAHA no one put their hands on Hera's man!!!!!!! Oh yeah, there's no way he's gonna let anything happen to this new family. Love it!

Also I mentioned in a comment on an earlier video that Fulcrum’s identity was hinted much earlier on. Think the first was when Hera and Sabine ran into those monsters at the old Clone Wars base. If you look at Fulcrum’s symbol on the box, it’s the same as Ashoka’s markings on her forehead.

kamenriderhime

OHHHH!!! The base was a good hint, and I didn't even notice the symbol, whoa!!! That would have given it away for sure!

Well, here’s where I start to try to play catch up: have you ever noticed that the good guys pick the most obvious hiding spots to the audience yet the Stormtroopers never bother to look there? Also, kind of saw Kanan getting captured coming after he started talking to Ezra about loss and sacrifice. Stop saying goodbye to people as a door closes between you, it’s a bad trope! Ezra might not feel like his parents but who’s broadcasting on a hidden frequency now? Is it wrong for me to think I’m glad Sabine isn’t delivering Amazon packages the way she rides up to the Imperial doors. With explosives no less. The Imperial Army doesn’t seem to have a very good “retirement” program does it? No wonder everyone’s always so tense who works for them. And finally, the Empire had a lot of holes, but it’s biggest weakness is arrogance. They think they’re so powerful that they pretty much let the Rebels into get the message out, never even stopping to consider the fact they might actually succeed in transmitting. Good thing they’re so short-sighted, otherwise this gets a lot harder. 😅

kamenriderhime

Lol it's a good thing that Stormtroopers don't have their stuff more together right?! Yeah, I suppose Kanan's talk with Ezra was a huge cue! Oh yeah, good call about the broadcast too. HAHAHAHAHA yeah not sure how Sabine's career as a courier would go :P YES, at the end of the day, I feel like that extreme overconfidence is really what gets the Empire each time. It really is a good thing they're short-sighted lol, considering all the other advantages they have!

That’s very cool: I’d not spotted that!
