Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to season 1, episode 9 of REBELS!!!!  Whoa, lots going on here with the crew trying to deal with this whole Tseebo situation!!!  Admiral Ackbar would have been proud, because Kanan and Ezra's plan for the Grand Inquisitor was most definitely a trap!  And an excellent use of those beasties, if I do say so!  But when faced with a perilous situation, it was interesting to see Ezra's will being tested against the dark side.  Something I'm sure we'll be exploring a lot!  Last but not least, Hera knows what happened to Ezra's parents, and they're not gonna tell us on the show right now?!?!?!  Ohhhhh that's cruel!!!  Can't wait for more!  Great ep!  Enjoy!!!  ~ MH

I think you get a little too worried when something happens to Chopper because all those R2 units have proven they’re pretty hard to bust. Sure they get beat up a lot but you can’t keep a good droid down. This episode seemed mostly focused on Ezra’s inner struggles. What I do find interesting is the juxtaposition of this story with others in the Star Wars universe. At first, the Dark Side was simply presented as “the bad side.” It is, but it was a little black and white. During the prequels, you kind of tended to see most things through the eyes of Anakin and the Jedi seemed a little harsh in their rules, even though you know what’s coming. Now it’s been flipped completely on its head, and you fully understand what the Jedi were worried about when you see Ezra dealing with his inner turmoil. The underlying point is, there’s good and bad inside everyone, and there’s a constant struggle going on inside them to decide which side wins out. Not just in the Star Wars universe, but in real life. As far as him being frustrated, it’s natural for guys to wear emotions on their sleeves. They tend to say what they think and then calm down and analyze it later, particularly if it’s something that’s really eating away at them. At some point, he will need to let his friends help him, though. Also, Sabine is such a tsundere, I think she might look like she’s ignoring him but secretly likes the attention. (I’ve seen something like this before.)

May not have started as the best birthday. Not even close. But not a bad gift to turn the day around. :') 🖼

Hahaha I know, they're pretty tough! That's such an excellent point that we've now seen the dark side from both, well, sides. Such a great point that everyone everywhere, not just in Star Wars, wrestles with these feelings back and forth. And makes sense about his frustration too. Haha the tsundere trope pops up so much but works so well, doesn't it!!!
