I love this finale so much, due to how it all comes together. All the hints tying together perfectly. The Director explaining that all AIs are based on actual people. And then explaining that he can't be charged with any crimes for the torture he performed on Alpha, because he was essentially torturing himself, and that isn't a crime. And the Chairman pointing out that they're going to focus on closing that loophole. And one more little detail: Alpha can't use the sniper, can't hit anything with it. Why? Because the Director says that "regrettably", he was never able to serve in the military. He isn't a trained soldier. So Alpha isn't, either.

Director Leonard J Church. It's kind of sad that even his AI ended up losing Allison as well. While this season is one of the best written There is still ALOT of really cool stuff to come. Alpha was based on the Director and all the fragments are just splinters of his psyche, they arent based of other people theyve just taken on their own personalities that represent the different raw states of mind. Tex is something else you'll just have to wait to find out more about. All the AI fragments and Alpha have now been destroyed except for Epsilon which is what Caboose had in the ending there. I do absolutely adore the music during the epilogue something about it just hits a certain way. Super excited to go into the next chapter!

First of all, Happy Birthday Tyler. Thank you for all your hard work on organizing this series thus far. I gotta say, this is probably one of my favorite Seasons. There was so much payoff from everything that came before. So while what you said about the Freelancer A.I.'s are an interesting theory, it's not really how it works. They are all the fragments of the Alpha. They come from him specifically. In the Halo canon you usually can only legally get A.I. from deceased donors, although Halsey was able to jump through some legal hoops and flash cloned her brain to create Cortana. Interesting how RvB handles it with Dr. Leonard Church and his methods and the UNSC only granting him the use of 1. The Director's dialogue in the beginning of Episode 18, "It is an undeniable, and may I say fundamental quality of Man, that when faced with extinction, every alternative is preferable", is the quote we see in the first episode of Season 6. And man what a reveal, that Church, the Alpha, was based on the Director's mind. It's not really addressed in the series, but when we see all the A.I. around the Meta when Church shows up, we see 2 black ones to the left and right of the Meta. They are Tex and Omega, confirming that not only was Tex an A.I., but that the Meta took them both after he defeated her. And because Wash used the E.M.P., Church, Tex, and all the other A.I. have been destroyed. It's really understated and sad honestly. And Caboose seems like he's up to something, I guess we'll see what eventually lol Really looking forward to the Mini Series and Season 7.

At 30:46 Tex is confirmed in cannon as one of the Meta's AIs. She is the gray one at the front left.

Just to clarify something, the fragments of Alpha are not based on other people. Alpha itself was based on the Director, and the fragments are literally just that: the Alpha AI split into pieces, with each piece decanted off individually. When the Director said that "All AI are based on a person, and ours are no different", he was referring to full, complete AI. (And he hadn't actually told the Chairman how exactly they got the fragments, either.)

Awww thanks! 😄 Season 6, as I said before, MIGHT be my favorite season in all of RvB just because of how well it’s put together. Nice chair btw! I DID notice! It’s probably better for your back too. The image of Washington and Church at the start of the batch was pretty much a reflection of the fan base for the week between the reveal and the next episode. What do you say? I got nothin’. Sarge deleting the Blues kinda fits with his character, but he may have just created a actual HOT MESS. Also when Simmons asked Grif what he would do, I really wish he would’ve added “use an ID4 card” after the virus suggestion. You were kind of ranting over the Director in the second episode, but I think it may have slipped past you that his quote about surviving extinction was the same quote that was put up on the screen at the start of the season. The subtitles kind of gave the surprise away when Grif was talking by accident by putting out that it was Tucker’s voice in the first line, you weren’t supposed to figure that out until he said bow chicka bow wow. All the other lines had him listed as Soldier so that’s a caption mistake. Too bad. You’re grasping a little, which is understandable. Let me help. The Alpha is based on the Director, Dr. Leonard Church. He then proceeded to harvest off different emotions as “fragments,” or AI, as parts of his personality. So in short, in reality, to achieve his goals, he was really torturing himself. In the epilogue letter, the Director mentioned that he was never given the chance to serve in battle. This clears up something: Church can’t shoot! Because the Director was never in battle, he was never taught how to properly use a weapon. THAT’S why he can never hit his target no matter how hard he tries! The computer at the end added insult to injury to Wash: “Activating EMP!” And this does need to be addressed. Alpha Church is terminated along with every AI the Meta had collected. That includes Delta, Omega, Gamma, among others. They were all at the center of the blast zone and wiped out. The actions of the Director will definitely gave repercussions throughout the UNSC. Caboose is doing something with the Epsilon unit. Also, there are some things in the Director’s final letter that may seem strangely vague now, and that’s intentional. Just bottle them for a later date. :) Before I forget, on the show RWBY they show pets at the end of the volume credits under Additional Security. Shannon’s pets are in the credits for that show as “Wash’s Cats.” It was his first role for Rooster Teeth. Not gonna give anything away, but I will tell you Season 7 is gonna be a little bit lighter in tone. Doesn’t mean stuff isn’t happening, though! The ride isn’t ending anytime soon.

Oof I got chills at the ending 🥶🤯😱 I want to know more! More!! Also love the chair it's so cute, it's so you! 😍 And much needed with all the dancing usually involved! The other chair needed a break from all the getting down and boogey woogying🕺😙🎶 Also Happy Birthday Tyler and ty for always providing the content and gifts that help the ambience 🎁 💕 🎈 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 🎊 My birthdays Sunday so let's celebrate! 🎂 🥳 🎉

kamenriderhime

Yes!!! So masterfully done! Ugh, what a loophole right? And yeah, he will for sure be in the history books, just like the Chairman said. OHHHHHH that makes SO much sense about Church not being able to shoot!!! Whoa!!! Even the running joke was important!!! Jeez!!!!

kamenriderhime

OMG!!! And I know, that's true - they both lost Allison, ironic in a sad way. Ohhhh you know, I got thinking about it and it doesn't make sense for all the fragments to be based on people. But I was thinking that maybe Allison was! Hmmm...guess we'll see. So the memories survived...! The music was awesome! Cannot wait for more!

kamenriderhime

YAY Tyler!!! This was an awesome season! Yeah, I got thinking about the fragments after and was like, nope, I'm still not right lol. Clearly there's something about Tex but the others didn't seem to be AIs. That's cool about Halo too, it's always nice to know what the deal is in the source material! Yes, the quote comes full circle! OHHHH I didn't put that together about Tex being there with the Meta in that scene! So she's really gone, dang! Ugh, so sad that they are all gone, even Church!!! I really, really hope they find some kind of backup of him or something lol. Yes, I can't wait to see what Caboose was doing!! I mean, if Epsilon's the memories, could there be some sort of "backup" of Church in there??? Who knows! Can't wait for more!

kamenriderhime

Yeah I got it wrong lol, sorry. It makes sense with Tex but not with the others. Makes sense that he was just referring to the one, complete AI!

kamenriderhime

OMG SAAAMMMEEE!!!! I'm dying to see where this all goes! Awww yay, I'm so happy you like my chair! Me too!!! ^_^ Yes hahaha, the other poor chair is very weary from all the dancing :P YAY Tyler!!! And OMG Happy Early Birthday, Manny!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD XD XD

kamenriderhime

You're so welcome and thank you for keeping such great track of my playlists and such! ^_^ Hope you had a great day! This was such an awesome season! And so happy you like my chair, it is way comfier for sure! LOL yes, speechless was kind of the theme of this whole batch I guess! OMG seriously, like what are they gonna do with themselves now that there are no Blues?? Loved how they threw out all the hackneyed generic pc phrases too! Yes, you know how I am with ranting lol, but once someone brought it to my attention, I can totally appreciate that it's the quote from the beginning of the season! Ah yes, the captions gave it away before the punchline!!! But still a lot of fun! Ah yes, thank you for clarifying about the self-torture! Also, that makes SO much sense as to why Church can't shoot!!! Ugh, so sad that Church and also all the other AIs were taken out!!!!!!!! I really hope Church comes back somehow...!! I thought Caboose might be doing something with Epsilon! Hmmm, can't wait to see how these vague bits come back into play! AWWWWW I LOVE that they credit "Wash's cats"!!! =^_^= That's good news that it will be a bit lighter next season, but I'm sure we still have a ton of drama to go through before I get current!!!! :D

Supermonaman

I love the end of this season so much. As soon as I heard you say it couldn’t get more shocking I’m pretty sure I was smiling like a villain LOL. Also this is a bit late but that was really nice/sweet for you to wish Tyler a happy birthday. Tyler is like the person who chooses the sets of RVB episodes for murder of birds to react to Georgia so that’s cool. Also a reason said in passing that Alpha was moved was because some freelancers tried to get him at one point. I love how the absolute silence at the start of episode 17 reflects how people were feeling after the reveal. I really enjoy the spy movie cliché jokes from Grif and Simmons frustration with it. It makes sense that Church would not believe all of this right away/at all because it’s something you would not want to believe it. Also his responses to all the information was hilarious with how he would much rather believe something supernatural than Washington’s actually plausible explanations for things. Also that boo motherf***er joke is a big meme in the community. It was great to hear Tucker again even if the reveal was messed up a little for you thanks to the subtitles. Also you were not supposed to know about anything regarding Tucker at this point just that like the others he was transferred to another base. I like that Sarge deletes the blues information because it fits his character especially not thinking ahead. And yeah Simmons theory is not the craziest thing. Honestly “fucked up, bout to die” is a good slogan for this show LOL. It’s impressive how they are so much more willing to believe the more fantastical explanation for Church. Also Wash’s exasperation is hilarious. It’s really cool that Washington was planning on the Meta following them so he could set up a really good trap. And it’s a great way to get the information from Epsilon’s memories to the authorities. Also when it comes to Caboose always expect the unexpected/always expect the opposite of your 1st thought. It does make sense Church would not want to be a part of Washington’s plan but I really love Wash’s response to this it’s a really good line. I love the final episode a lot. While I do disagree with how the director used it to justify his actions I think his quote here was interesting because it is a big part of humans to survive. Washington’s conversation with the counselor & director is really well done. It’s great to see that Wash is done with their obvious BS. Through the dialogue you can clearly see how manipulative the counselor is as well as arrogance/ego of the director. It was interesting to learn Washington’s real name although I hate how the director uses it condescendingly. I don’t think they can really control the Meta but it is simple to direct it. I love how when it’s all going bad and looks most dire Church. I like that Wash’s words got to him and this is a really awesome moment for the both of them. It’s really great to see the counselor and director panic here. Also even the computer calling it an emp is a great gag Washington can’t catch a break LOL. It’s really nice to see the reds and Caboose get rewarded for a change. It’s entertaining/interesting to see the chairman and director actually get angry for a change instead of their normal passive aggressiveness at the start of these episodes. I really love the music that plays at the end of the episode over the final speech from the Director. It’s a fantastic speech and I love all the interesting information it gives about his life and the connections it creates. It’s so messed up but his justification for what he did to the Alpha is a good plot point. Something I really like about his acting in this speech is how it’s much more somber, calm and melancholy then the rest. The final reveal of this season is 1 of the best things ever I love it a lot especially how it helps things make sense even more. I’m glad you understand the AI stuff thanks to the comments I think you were only confused because of how crazy the end of the season was. This show really brings out the conspiracy theories in everyone don’t worry LOL. Finally you have not got the full picture on Tex let’s hope you find out more. I really enjoyed your discussion at the end. I can’t wait for you to experience more of the show it’s going to be fun. Awesome reaction and keep up the great work. :-) <3

kamenriderhime

Hahaha I knew I shouldn't have said that right!! Oh that silence definitely spoke for the whole audience, I'm sure! The "boo" line was amazing! Ah, that's too bad about the subtitles giving away the reveal, oh well! And yeah, I thought Simmons' theory wasn't so far off lol. It totally fits that Sarge would delete the Blues, he has zero ability to think ahead for sure haha. Oh I know, somehow it really fits that our crew would rather believe the more supernatural explanation! And the trap was really cool. Caboose never ceases to amaze me! Yes that last ep was awesome, I get Church not being on board at first. And that quote about having to survival makes it a gray area for sure. Wash being so done makes total sense, the conversation was super well done. Yes learning the name was great, but too bad it had to be used in such a negative way I guess. Oh the manipulation/ego is off the charts! Church showing up was awesome. Oh the final speech and reveal is soooo good! Hahah yeah I got a little confused there at the end but I'm all set now! Hahah glad I'm not the only one who's theorizing like this!! So glad you enjoyed my discussion and reaction, and thank you so much for always being so awesome and supportive to me! I can't wait to see more and hope you love my future reactions!! ^_^

I would argue that Seasons 6-8 tell a better story than most professionally produced tv shows I've seen, and I love watching it through the new eyes of a reactor. These episodes in particular always take me back to being a teenager watching them come out, and realizing that RvB was actually important to me, and not just a silly online parody.

kamenriderhime

Oh wow, that's awesome! And thank you!!! I hope you're enjoying my reactions!! Aw, that's so cool that these eps mean so much to you!!! :D I'm happy you're watching along with me!

And this is still just scratching the surface. So much great stuff to come!
