Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to season 1, episode 5 of REBELS!!!!  Oh dang you guys, this one was ROUGH!!!  Lots of good character development, and I love the callbacks to the Clone Wars....but dang you guys, showing me Luminara's corpse?!  What did I do to deserve that exactly lol???  Just another reminder of how so many of our heroes fell as the Empire rose.  I loved seeing Ezra and Canaan get closer though!!!  Really digging this show so far!  Great ep!  Enjoy!!!  ~ MH

Having a think about how they were able to sense Luminara, I assume its certain objects connected to the force that Jedi are able to sense. In the pilot episode we see Ezra sensing Kanan, then his holocron and lightsabre, so Luminara's corpse could be a similar thing. Kanan's master, as mentioned by the Grand Inquisitor, was Depa Bilaba, and we see both of them in Clone Wars briefly! Look at Old Friends Not Forgotten again (s07e09) and at the start during the voiceover, we see the Jedi conversing around a hologram. There is a female Jedi there with a young Padawan - that's Kanan. :)

Ohhh, good call! That does make sense. WHOA, I have to go back and see that ep now so I can see young Kanan!!! Thanks for the heads up!

I hope that wasn't a spoiler for you, because you now have seen Clone Wars, but thought I'd mention it and you can check it out, so you can gauge Kanan's age when it all kicks off!

Oh no it's not spoilery at all, I've been done with Clone Wars for a bit now! I'd love to go back and see that scene!!

Luminara being praised as a great jedi when she embodied all of the problems and negatives with what the order had become during the time of the prequels is hilarious.

Her lines about leaving Barriss behind in Clone Wars don't sit well for sure, but for me, I'd say Mace Windu was more so the embodiment of where the Jedi Order had gone wrong, if I had to point to any one person as an example.
