Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to Obi-Wan Kenobi, episode 2!!!!!  OH MAN!!!!  So many epic things going on in this!  Obi-Wan's back in the game, and we've got sassy baby princesses to save, a heartbreaking clone cameo, a shady but helpful new friend, some epic fighting from Obi-Wan (I'd expect nothing less), etc.!!  Oh yeah, and our inquisitor who is highly motivated to catch Obi-Wan....DANG, what she does towards the end there will really re-shape how I watch Rebels now I guess, haha.  Also, that KNOWLEDGE at the end....!!!!
Why didn't I put it together that he wouldn't have even known?!  Shoot!  Poor Obi-Wan!!!
GREAT EP!!!  Enjoy!!  ~ MH

So, Kenobi takes place 5 years before Season 1 of Rebels. So unless the Empire cloned him prior to this, I think the Grand Inquisitor will be okay, well alive at least lol He'll probably need some surgery. I love Daiyuu. Reminds me of Nar Shaddaa from the Knights of The Old Republic games. A seedy nightlife city, with some Tokyo inspired architecture. I feel like Leia inherited alot of her sass from Anakin, whereas Luke has alot of Padme's heart with how they both try to see the good in Anakin. What you said about the Senate was interesting. How we kinda have this transitional period between the Prequel Trilogy and the Original Trilogy, and we do kinda have the Imperial Senate for a while until it gets "dissolved" in A New Hope. There's officially no name for that Clone, but some fans are calling him "Rusty". He appears to have once been a part of the 501st and it kinda shows how the Clones were treated after the War, cultivated for one purpose and then thrown in the trash when they outlive their usefulness, it's really heartbreaking. And I was surprised that Obi Wan didn't know, and it makes Episode 1 of this series even sadder, because all this time he thought he killed Anakin. Fun fact: As of right now, Jedi Survivor, a sequel to Jedi Fallen Order, was confirmed to take place 5 years after the first game, 10 years after Revenge of The Sith, which is around the same time that this Kenobi series takes place. Really loved this reaction and look forward to next week.

Yes!!!! I got thinking about this upon rewatching and was like, ohhhh so this happens BEFORE Rebels...!! So yeah, he must be alright even after that shot to the gut! Yes, Daiyuu looks fantastic here, very cool that it is reminiscent of Knights of the Old Republic! I definitely got some Shinjuku, Tokyo vibes from it! Yes, I could totally see how each kid got something from their parents!!! Some of the stubbornness is totally Padme but the sass is also very Anakin haha. Yeah the Senate stuff is fascinating, like they're still all the same players as the Republic Senate only now, they're the Imperial Senate...!! For now anyway. Glad you enjoyed what I said! That scene with the Clone was SO heartbreaking and totally demonstrates how the Clones were used and thrown away. The armor is 501st for sure, didn't even realize that till I was watching someone else's reaction lol. YES, it really makes it that much more heartbreaking that he thought he'd killed Anakin for 10 whole years! That's awesome about Jedi Survivor!!! So it's in pretty much the same timeline then! Wonder if there will be some reference?? I'm so happy you enjoyed my reaction! I'm dying for more!! :D

I know we are a few episodes on now, and people always wondered why Kenobi didn't kill Vader on Mustafar. He couldn't, so let the will of the force decide and assumed he perished. Through hatred and sheer force of will, he didn't though; one thing little Ani is, is determined! ;) Seeing that destitute clone though begging (who was Temuera Morrison remember!), is so tragic. And remember with their enhanced ageing, he's probably not fit for anyone now. Horrible.

Oh yeah, Anakin is determined if nothing else!!! :/ OMG wasn't that scene tragic?! Love that Temuera Morrison came back for that. Ugh, I hate thinking of the clones being discarded and rapidly aging after the war ends. Shudders!!!

This aspect reminds me of the Dune universe (the Frank Herbert books and the recent utterly awesome film). My intuition on this is that in a vast and well populated galaxy (maybe millions of planets all occupied by intelligent life), you are likely to get a vast array of political and ethical set ups, with not all of them being ethically sound. This happens in both the Dune and Star Wars universe. The Kaminoans clearly had no compunction about creating Clones whose sole reason for existence was killing and being canon fodder, and the Republic wasn't too nice about its moral scruples when it came to using these Clones. Even the Jedi fell into this mode of thinking ... [although the Jedi didn't seem to treat Clones badly on a personal level: Krell being an exception]. Mind you, I'm not sure that on a smaller scale - on Earth - it has always been, or is, different! Indeed: the behaviours, societies and kinds of events seen in Star Wars all can be, or have been, found on our own lovely little planet: fictional accounts of war, slavery, inequality, poverty etc exist as fictional accounts because authors/ film makers etc put into fiction what they see in the world around them.
