Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to season 1 episode 12 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime!  Oh dang, things are really escalating in this one!  Not only does our crew have a nice clear picture of what's going on, thanks to our new Dryad friend, but it looks like things at the lizard people's place are starting to fall apart!  So this one individual who's some kind of messenger of Gelmud put it in Gabiru's head that he needs to take over....yeah, that was definitely so things would start falling apart!  The canabalizing orcs are pretty freaky!!!  There's no stopping them unless someone can just do it all at once...!!!!  Can't wait to see more!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Hi Hime :) Oh I forgot about Shion's bad cooking. A classic trope, but still effective. And yes, I was telling you about it but the rivalry between Shuna and Shion is something you will see often. Rimuru who died a virgin on earth, begins to forge a harem in this new world lol. I told you that certain characters were going to impress you, I was thinking of Gobta. We saw it with Rimuru, surviving difficulties can make you stronger, and clearly, Gobta had a lot of it from the start lol. I also told you that you would probably be exasperated by the stupidity and pride of another character, I was thinking of Gabiru. He may be competent, but clearly immature.

Oh, you are the first reactor who wanted to give Gabiru the benefit of the doubt! I don't know how it turned out that he was never there when his father was giving the info about the Orc Lord and his true nature, but he wasn't. Normally, lizardmen are stronger than orcs, especially in the lizardmen's home swamp territory. Remember this isn't the first time in history an Orc Lord appeared. The oldest lizardmen would be able to at least have some memories of stories their parents told them. The king's advisors all seemed to be older, back when they were first discussing the possibility of an Orc Lord. Gabiru seemed to lack the curiosity and/or any info about how the Orc army was behaving oddly for them. Gabiru's men think he's cool and he actually is good at fighting. His idea would be the better one under normal circumstances --which this isn't. He was (too easily) persuaded he knew better, which shows his immaturity.....I actually don't know why Souei said a week. But he did tell them not to attack. The chief knew it would be difficult to hold out, but a defensive battle would make it easier to protect all lives. It was getting hard by this point. The young ones had no patience, and Gabiru was worried about their pride as lizardmen on top of it... Earlier you wanted to know why Gelmud was naming all those individual monsters. He said himself he was naming those who had "promise". Here's where I think he may have had 2 overlapping plans, but I think it's best to wait until next episode. As for transportation, for now the fastest method anyone in Rimuru's camp has is shadow motion. Treyni is a type of spiritual being, so she's different. She is allied with Rimuru's people but not one of them exactly....The name Demon Lord comes from Japanese maoh. Ma is the demon part. Oh is actually the word for King. Some of these words have flexible translations since sometimes the Japanese word can have multiple equivalents. Lord is also a good translation, and I have seen that too, but they wanna be consistent, and Demon Lord is a routine phrase heard in English.

Hi Spadeas! :) Hahaha it's a good one! Lol I mean, would this be a bona fide anime if there wasn't some kind of harem at some point? :P YES, Gobta is killing it! Ahhh, so it's the overcoming that makes one stronger, hmm!!! Yeah, Gabiru has a LOT to learn for sure!!!

Haha I'm glad I was somewhat merciful! That's the thing, he just doesn't have all the info. Oh good call that some in this group may actually remember the other orc lord. So true, his idea wasn't totally flawed but it just doesn't fit here. He for sure has a lot to learn! Yeah a week is a LONG time! I can see why everyone was impatient with the way things were going. Oooh, can't wait to see what you mean about Gelmud! Thanks for the info on transportation. That's too bad that Treyni can't just help them get around! Also so interesting about the Japanese origins of the word!!! I've heard "maoh" before on another series and it was translated as demon king, and as was pointed out in one of the comments above, I think I confused the two titles :P Thanks for the info!
