Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to season 4.5 if you will, the Out of Mind miniseries!!  WHOA!!!  Big tonal shift here, without feeling like it isn't still RvB.  Nicely done!  I'm all about a story that follows Tex, and if you're gonna bring on a heavier tone anywhere, it makes sense to do it when she's the focus.  I was fascinated learning more about the AI program they were a part of, and seeing some REALLY interesting conflicting things, like Delta being so, well, compassionate and not aggressive.  I can't wait for more of these things to be addressed in the series, hopefully!  And so now O'Malley is about to kill all our crew?!  Not if Tex has anything to say about it....!!!  So glad I watched this and cannot wait to see where it's all headed!  Great series!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

I love this miniseries. York and Delta are so interesting. To be fair about the A.I. the only one we've seen was Omega, and he seems like a jerk, so maybe other A.I. aren't jerks. Delta's comment about being human was calling back to what York said earlier "It's just part of what makes us human D." And even though Delta is technically not a human, you could argue that he could have some humanity within him, kinda like Penny did despite being a Synthetic Person for most of her life. We also learned that Wyoming's name is Reginald, he once had an A.I. named Gamma, and that he likes knock knock jokes lol In terms of timeline this does take place in between Seasons 4 and 5 and at the end of Season 4 Caboose said that O'Malley / Omega is gone, and aparrrently went into someone else.

All I'm going to say is this, It only gets better from here.

I know what reaction you were talking about that messed you up earlier. :D All I’m gonna say here is that that noise you heard outside, you probably should have checked outside for the rumbling. Aww thanks, no worries! I try to be as helpful as I can without giving away the farm. Some people do get a little over excited though. This is taking place either after Season 4 or during the short time period after Tex left the “quest” group with the big alien and the ship at the snow fortress with all the gamer zealots. Tex mentions that her AI, Omega, is “one of the difficult ones.” Clearly, Delta is a much more benign AI and works very well with Agent York. Keeping track of names is important, but with the freelancers in general it will be slightly easier since they all have state names. How’s your geography? Also clearly York is a reference to New York, so that’s you I think. The place where they end up at the end is the “evil lair” where Doc was when he was called to come to Blood Gulch to diagnose Tucker. That’s why the place was unoccupied. Tex mentions that her real name is Allison. Her assigned AI’s name is Omega. Now if you put these together cleverly: OM(ega)-ALLEY(short for Allison). See what they did there? Also one thing to think about: Wyoming’s real name is Reginald/Reggie and he was apparently once paired with an AI named Gamma. Apparently he was constantly telling knock knock jokes. Remind you of anyone? 👀 When Delta says staying with York is part of what makes us human, it’s a spin back on the conversation he was having with York earlier about being flawed. Clearly, he’s adapting based on what he’s being told. What you have here are bread crumbs. Keep watching. :D

Only a few minutes, and with just those few minutes, they've made me care for Delta and Yorks bond. They tell you, "that's how it works", with one's AI but then you see something special abour theirs at the end. It's very well written. 👏

Me too!! That's true, maybe there's more to the AI than we thought. Ohhhh gotcha, thanks for clarifying that! I thought maybe they were trying to imply that the AI were taking on human traits. Good comparison about Penny! <3 Ohhhhh who was it that did knock knock jokes? Gary the computer?? That went right over my head, sorry! Thanks for clarifying about the timeline! Hmm, so looks like we've got a big mess to deal with in season 5!!!

kamenriderhime

Right?! It's super well written! Really starting to see some of that RT talent for good writing and drama shine through here <3

kamenriderhime

HAHAHAHAHAHA omg about your rumbling comment!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD You've been super helpful, thanks for keeping track of all these batches and playlists and helping me out so I don't have to get spoiled!!! Gotcha, thanks for clarifying about the timeline! Good point, Delta seems much less aggressive than Omega, who apparently is just more aggressive. Lol I live in New York so I should hopefully know that one geographically!!! >.< Ohhhh ok gotcha, I was wondering about where they were at the end. WHOAAAAAAAAA O'Malley makes SO much more sense now, WOW!!!!!!!! So the knock knock thing went right over my head but wasn't it Gary who made all the knock knock jokes?! Are they implying that Gary is Gamma?!?!?! :O Definite bread crumbs here! Can't wait to see more!

Happy to see your reaction! The tonal shift is great to experience! Can't wait for you to see more!

kamenriderhime

2023-01-15 22:47:10 Season 5 is the grand finale of the first era of the show: "Blood Gulch Chronicles" (and its first 100 episodes). The tonal shift is coming, but season 5 turns the way things have been up to 11 first.

I forgot this was where York showed up! I’m so excited, this is a great hint of things to come.
