Hey everyone!  Here's my reaction to episode 86!  WHOA!!!!  Oh man, I'm finally getting some hope back!  We're off to - you guessed it - train!!!  We meet Palm and figure out our next big challenge so that we can get into NGL.  And you guys....who better to train us than BISKY!!!!!!!!!!!  Yayyyyy my girl is back!!!!!!  And for once, it looks like our "we can do 10 years of work in a week" method is NOT gonna work due to Netero's line of reasoning.  Oof!!!
I believe in them though!  And do my eyes deceive me, or is that a head-in-tact Kite I see there, being preserved?!?!?!  Perhaps not all hope is lost!!!!!!  Man, they OWE me for that kind of cruelty though, sheesh!!!  Great ep!  Enjoy!!  ~ MH

Hi Hime :) For Kite, sorry to deceive you but he is decapitated, he is dead, the ice is to preserve the body precisely... But without too much spoiler, expect surprises with his character, for the worst and/or the best, after all, Pitou just awakened their power, so they can face Kite again You understand now, that although I love your videos, I clenched my teeth more than once hearing you say "hope Kite doesn't die"... Knowing what was coming, it was hard to know it was going to devastate you in advance. I love Palm, she is inspired both by Sadako (the ghost girl from The ring), but also by Yukako, a character from Jojo's bizarre adventure, whose particularity is to be a kind of yandere. The kind of girl who's obsessed with the person she loves to the point of wanting to kill them if the love isn't reciprocated. But her character will evolve and you will understand why she is my second favorite female character with Pakunoda. Knuckle seems to be a tough guy and has the typical Japanese "thug" look (like in GTO or the movie Crow Zero if you know). But you can see that he still has a good heart since he takes care of cleaning up after the puppy. His appearance is also inspired by a character from Jojo's bizarre adventure, Josuke, but also Yusuke and Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho, a former work of Togashi, the mangaka behind HxH. Get ready to see your boys progress even more, we are entering the calm phase that I mentioned, which will allow you to breathe a little before the madness returns.

Unfortunately Kite is mega dead, you can't really un-decapitate after all. She simply sewed him back together and put him in ice to preserve him. And it sounds like she wants her upcoming Nen power to "fix" him so they can fight again. Nen cannot bring back the dead though so.. hopefully it won't be too messed up???

Hi Spadeas! :) Oh noooooo!!! That makes me sad but I'm glad you cleared it up for me! Oof, I can see how it was REALLY tough to watch me begging Kite not to die!!! :P Aw man, I can't wait to see what twists there could be with his death! I thought for sure I just misunderstood the "head" scene once I saw his body in tact again. Ahhhh yes I could totally see how Palm was inspired by the girl from The Ring! I've never seen Jojo but I'll have to look out for that character if I watch it! Ooohhh I can't wait to learn more about her! Aww yes I can definitely see Knuckle's good heart despite his appearance! So interesting that there's so much Jojo inspiration!!! Now I wanna watch Jojo!!!! :P Oooohhhh can't wait for what's next! Thanks for the info!

So they tried to censor a lot of it which can make Kite's death ambigous . Kite's head was not connected to his body in the ice

He's one of the late game ones in the series that treat their contract holders like they're disposable. Specifically the one that's like: "You said you want to cut your ties? So you want me to cut you up?" At least Knuckle here isn't a scumbag. 🤣

last episode is such a gut punch, how fast it all falls apart, going from Gon being so sure that Kite is alive right to being shown just how dead he is... something morbidly funny, not sure which is more accurate to the japanese but in the manga translation I read Nef makes a cat pun in that scene, going "Yup, I'm purr-ty strong" rather just the pretty strong they used here. At the very least we've got our queen Bisky back in the mix now, she's probably my fave character in the series and I know I was super excited for her return.

Ugghhh I know! It's so jarring! And the cat puns are amazing, I really want to hat Neferpitou but the cat aesthetic is soooo good!! YAY Bisky!!! She's amazing and I couldn't be happier she's back, too!!

On the one hand, I'm happy someone clarified he was dead, thinking, "God, bless this woman" 😅 (meaning you, for thinking that) Cause damn, that was giving me more anxiety than the lead-up to Kite's death lol. But man, how often do reacters go in thinking Kite's still alive? SIGH 😂

Lol!! Sorry for the confusion!!! I'm not sure if it's common or not for folks to think he might still be alive, but I got super over-enthusiastic when I saw his head not detached!!!! I guess I jumped the gun a bit hahaha....but yeah, I can imagine being on the other end thinking "oh lord....someone tell her he's dead already" hahaha :P
