Hey everyone! I am back today with the start of Nomad of Nowhere! Oh wow, we get mama birds, baby birds, broken friendships, what feels like a big miscommunication, a big governor, etc. in this one! Dang!!! I feel like the whole thing with Toth was such a sad comedy of errors - he was just trying to protect the egg!!!! And speaking of the egg, like Skout would ever really hurt the egg!!! I was shocked she even threatened it! I'm super disappointed about the way their friendship is crumbling apart and I hope it doesn't last long! Poor Nomad, he always ends up alone at the end :( But at least the birds got away safely and happily! Can't wait to see where this is all going!!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Thanks for waiting everyone!!!!! Sorry - I just filmed them today due to some schedule shifting so that's why they're so late!!!!!!!!!

I think Skout was mainly wanting to protect Toth from Mama Bird; she wasn't really going to toss the egg. Also, while Don Paragon is comedic villain (as is Red Manuel), the other Governors are no joke and bring a darker tone to the story as a whole.

Don Paragon is a sleazeball but he’s also under a lot of pressure as you can see when Toro shows up and just berates him. (I’m not feeling too good about the guy with the masseuse ability at the moment. If he hits just ONE nerve wrong…) Slso notice he’s offering fancy water for free to a VIP while the citizens are paying through the nose for a regular drop. Speaking of which, they were just tossing out random RvB and RWBY episode titles during that exchange if you caught on like “The More The Merrier.” Have you noticed Red Manuel seems to always talk about himself in the third person? Guy has to have at least one or two screws loose. The show setting is Western but the whole Toth/Skout/Bird situation felt like something inspired both from a sitcom and Looney Tunes cartoons where it’s so blatantly obvious what’s actually going on to the audience but the characters are so tunnel visioned none of them can process it. Toth probably feels that Skout is a liability at this point, and not a burden she can handle, that’s why she keeps trying to push her away. (We know she’s not that, but like I said before, Tunnel Vision.) Guess you’ll just have to wait and find out if this is something she regrets later or not. With both of them on their own, who knows what sort of shenanigans they’re going to accidentally stumble into next?

Manny

I've been hoping some sort of kindness finds the Nomad at the end of an episode. I want so badly for him to have a friend so he doesn't wind up all alone. 😢

Yeah, that's what I think too! She never really intended to do any harm. Oof, I was getting that vibe about the other governors!!! Dang!

Right, he's a sleazeball with a big problem hahaha. OOF, now that you mention it, maybe no one should try a massage! Ohhh good call on the water, too, I didn't catch that. OMG I missed the ep titles!!!!!!!! Nice! I could definitely see the Looney Tunes vibes during that whole scene! Oh gosh, I can't imagine what kind of trouble they can get into individually haha. And very true about the tunnel vision! Guess we'll just have to wait and see!!!!!!

2023-01-17 00:44:55 This was a great episode. It was cool and scary to see the world expanded with this governor and his violent personality. Also Paragon’s voice acting is amazing and hilarious. I really loved the Looney Tunes type comedy. It definitely feels like Toth views Skout as a liability because her caring for her keeps Toth from doing her job effectively even if she has to do some bad things to get her objective completed since Skout seems to be her moral compass. I think Toth giving the Nomad a chance to surrender peacefully is Skout’s influence and its easy to see how much Toth cares about her with her dialogue this episode. It’s sad to see Skout do things to help Toth only to be berated by her. Toth is the type of character who believes ends justify the means even if it’s partially because of the situation with her people. I think she was hoping Skout would continue to push back against her harsh words hence her very lost look at the end but unfortunately she hurt Skout too much which is heartbreaking. Finally it’s so nice to see the Nomad helping these birds but it is unfortunate he’s also left alone once again. Great reaction and keep up the great work. :-) <3

It really was! Yeah we're getting into some scarier territory now with the governors for sure!!! Paragon's acting is superb haha. I can totally see the Looney Tunes comparison! Toth is definitely being obstructed by Skout to do some questionable things and I can see why to her that feels like a bad thing, since she has a mission to do....yet it's really not. Yeah I agree about Skout's influence here! Oh I know, instead of pushing back, Skout just looks heartbroken...SO sad!!! Love seeing the birds get a happy ending but poor Nomad is all alone again. Thank you so much for all your kind words and support!!!!!!!!!!!
