Hey everyone!!!  Here I am with episode 12 of season 2 of Demon Slayer!!!  Whoa, there's so much going on here!  I'm really starting to wonder about Tanjiro's techniques, given all we know about his background and the sun breathing.  Inosuke has a frightening, disgusting and effective power, finds the lair of the obi, and Zenitus gets a flashy moment of his own (literally, with all the thunder!).  Last but not least, we're reunited with the wives and it looks like we are getting to know our sound hashira a bit better!  Are you ready for things to get flashy?  I know I am!  Great ep - enjoy!!!  ~ MH

“I don’t know if he (Tanjiro) can do EVERYTHING.” -stops and looks up the definition of “anime protagonist.” Well, now that you mention it… 👀 Is he using Sun Breathing or Flame Breathing, and while they share traits, what are the differences? I have questions. I did find it kinda funny that Suma (the freaked out wife) when she first showed up was a female version of Zenitsu. Speaking of which, Inosuke breaking the fourth wall: “Maybe you should just stay asleep all the time.” It might reduce everyone’s stress level, at least! Also, Inosuke seems to be upping his cringe level. You should probably check your drains to make sure he didn’t fall down one… Meanwhile: Tanjiro: Oh, so instead of leaving the audience hanging this week, they’re gonna leave me hanging over this demon. Cool. If Yang was in the food locker after the “Worm Belt” was destroyed: “Welp, guess that’s a WRAP.” 😎 ✌️

Hi! To answer your question, the reason why Tanjiro started learning Water Breathing was because Giyu, who practices Water Breathing, recommended him to his master Urodaki who teaches Water Breathing. It was circumstantial since he trained under the same master as Giyu. The wiki does say that Water Breathing tends to be the easiest/best starting place though because it is one of the easier ones to master and one of the simpler forms. Long story short, Tanjiro's teacher is affiliated with Water Breathing so that's why he learned it rather than, say, Flame Breathing. Also I don't think just because he knows a bit of Water Breathing he can't learn others; Rengoku offered to teach him Flame Breathing if you remember. I don't think you can master more than one because of how much effort each one takes though, and since their breathing is all different.

Let's not forget Tengen was seeking helpers. But he later saw the situation severally different and had no problem in telling Tanjiro and Inosuke to go home if they wanted to and to not feel any shame about it (which I applaud cuz withdrawing takes courage too). I think he knows when too much is enough for some and rather not have ppl die on his behalf. Also Inosuke is something else. Doing the worm underground like that was something. I'm baffled again 😐 🪱 🐛

Hahahahh well now, you've got me there :P Hmm, that's a good point about which breathing he's using at the moment! LOL she's totally a female version of Zenitsu!!! Did anyone else think she looked just a bit like Inosuke (unmasked) as well? :P LOL sooo cringe, and I fully expect that one day Inosuke will just burst through one of my floors after burrowing underground like a mole. :P LOL yeah we just kinda left Tanjiro didn't we?? Also HAHAHAHA loving the Yang joke!!!!!!!!!! XD

Hi!!! Thanks so much for clarifying that! So it's not like a Pokemon where you have specific "types" lol, got it. So it was really just coincidence that he learned water breathing, but he can still learn others as well! Thanks so much for all the info!

That's so true! He definitely knew where to draw the line! LOL his worming through the ground.........so amazing and unsettling all at once!!!! This show never ceases to amaze me with its craziness haha!

Yeah, although it seems some people are naturally more suited to some breathing types, as Tanjiro doesn't seem to be suited for Water Breathing. So he could likely never master it, as I think he was alluding to.
