Hey everyone!  Welcome back, I am back today, with more Gen:LOCK!!!!  Ummmm........I'm not even sure what to say about this one.  I'm honestly just crushed and speechless.  They did the one thing I hoped and prayed they wouldn't!!!!  And it was so fast, and it was just so.....sad.....and quiet......she just slipped away after feeling abandoned and yearning to belong somewhere.  The way Nugget curled up afterwards will haunt my dreams till the day I die.  And in other news of the show, it definitely looks like our Sinclair story is being brought into the mix, and Gen:LOCK is officially on the run.  Dang guys, I'm just pretty overwhelmed at this episode.  I definitely need some time to process everything before the next one!!!!  Thanks for watching along with me so I don't have to go through this alone!!!  <3  ~ MH

Manny

I know I seem very close-minded with this but I just hate a whole reconstruction of an original good and well done show on its own.

I know just how you feel, Manny!!! :( I'm so sorry. I can see your point about the handling of character developments with Kazu, as well as Kazu and Val's relationship. It is really frustrating to see things so drastically changed and I know much of that is due to a new company spearheading the season, so it does oddly bring some comfort to know that this probably wasn't RT's exact vision for the season, in a way. The deaths definitely just aren't hitting I think the way that they should considering they're deaths of really beloved main characters. It's not close-minded at all!!! I totally get where you're coming from. It's not often that I have problems with the direction of a show, but I'm definitely seeing where you're coming from here. Particularly with the way they seem to be killing off main characters now, in a way that's not very in-character. The flowers line really does feel opposite to this!!!! I know they've been trying to build up Cammie going in a direction where she's very lost and vulnerable but wow, to think we've come from Cammie at the end of last season to this............it just feels so......wrong. I hear you!!!!!!!!!! And I'm sorry :(

Rooster Teeth will be getting a strongly worded letter from Ms. Hime, first thanking them for making the shows in the first place and simultaneously angry at them for all the emotional trauma she’s been inflicted with. You mentioned at the start Kazu wouldn’t be the same Kazu if they used the copy. Isn’t that hypocritical? Chase has been that way since the start of all this, basically. You’ll probably hate me for this but Cammie’s color palette (green and white clothes with some black) is the same as a certain RWBY character with a certain similar arc. Now I KNOW you know who I mean. 👀 Also, both episodes had suicide hotlines posted on them. But, I stopped to think about this: Something has been fishy about this whole “Union Ascension” thing to me from the get-go. I know what they CLAIM they’re doing, and I get Cammie’s curiosity. There’s one key phrase that keeps coming back and it’s that Brother Tate ascended into the flow and came back. Is there something different going on when it’s an “official” ascension as opposed to a “do it yourself?” Cammie was alone when she went in. Could the Flow be just as big of a fabrication as Polity’s Mars colony, and Cammie will discover this by her actions? Either way, unlike Kazu, I feel like there are some plot threads dangling here with the Union’s “way of thinking” that need more exploration and this seems to be why. This doesn’t feel as much like a death scene to me as a shock that’s intended to trigger a plot device. We’ll see, though! “Why did I record this first, now I have to redo my appearance?” Girl, it’s Rooster Teeth. If you haven’t learned by now, I can’t really help you. 😂

Hahahahaha it will be a very grateful yet stern letter >:( Lol!!! Ah yes, I can see how it sounded that way - I think what I actually meant to say was that it would be Kazu, just not the Kazu who had all the development we'd seen recently. So still Kazu, but without those experiences - almost like a previous version so to speak. Sorry for not being clearer! AHHHHH I actually hadn't noticed that but dang, RT is forcefully showing us that "it's not easy being green" :( Oooohhh now there's a thought, I had almost forgotten that Brother Tate came back. It would be a huge twist if it was a fabrication the same way the Mars colony is for Polity!! I see what you mean that it didn't feel like a death either, I got that same feeling. Also, could we perhaps follow RWBY logic that if one person dies, it's bad....but if MULTIPLE folks from our main crew start dying, it probably won't stick??? I was pretty upset during my reaction and hadn't thought of that lol, as you can see. I really just thought they were gonna kill everyone off :P Hahahaha I seriously should know by now with RT, shouldn't I???? :P
