Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to ep 10 of season 2 of Oshi no Ko! OMG!!!!! You guys....did they just hand feed us the answer to the whole mystery?! Or is this the biggest red herring of all time?! Because as much as I wanna see Aqua happy, and trust me, the relief on his face is SUCH a sight for sore eyes - I can't help but shake the feeling that this isn't over!!! Meanwhile Ruby is on the search for someone she has no idea is actually right under her nose....not to mention she's using that star charm to get a hit new song written for the group!!! Can't wait for this whole music video trip too, that should be interesting!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

I’m going to try to condense this a little, for you, hopefully, but you know how I get with this show. :P The bomb Himekawa drops about Urbana and their dad also kind of sheds light on how much of a scumbag he was - The kid is in his early twenties and this double suicide supposedly took place when he was five. So I think the math adds up that he would’ve been alive at the time of AI’s death - the kids would’ve been two at the latest, and everyone remembers THAT scene. Unless he pulled a stunt from the Apothecary Diaries… it’s a fair question, is it really that simple? And is Aqua allowed to be happy? Himekawa even notices he has the same appeal to women, as he’s “seducing” two of them, albeit he’s not got any intent - he’s just being him. Speaking of said girls he’s got three of them all thinking he’s out being frivolous - the poor guy can’t do anything without getting scrutinized. 😆 I think part of Aqua would just like to be done and enjoy all of his girls’ company without that cloud over his head. Notice the “dark” star in his eye disappeared when he realized he could. Looks like we’re getting back to the idol group, and their YouTube channel is boosted but not enough. Hey, side note… maybe you should do that room tour they were talking about - imagine all the figures and plushies you could write off… 👀MEM is very upset that the others aren’t appreciating the work she’s put in since they’re not seeing great financial returns yet. Also yes, Ruby, taxes are horrible. You need to know this. Ruby isn’t sure about revealing her parentage, and it turns out that she was inquiring around about Gorou (Aqua’s Doctor life) very early in her reincarnation. She doesn’t know he died and was reincarnated as her brother, she thinks he’s still out there - and he did make a promise to marry her at 16 in her previous life. She put up the B Komachi name hoping to get his attention. So yeah, this could get complicated. The group is also trying to get a viral video and a hit song, so they’ve reached out to the original B Komachi songwriter for help, but he’s in a rut. I know what that feels like, but it seems Ruby’s video message gave him the proper motivation. I wonder if her Ai-like qualities were part of it? But Ruby can’t wait around and is being super pushy because of the time they are against but the attacks on MEM’s age were super harsh. 😅 But it looks like she got him working. The stage play wraps up and Aqua’s invited to Miyazaki - mostly at Kana’s prodding, to take a break after their stage run. I’m not clear but based on the scenes being shown, Miyazaki is the area where Aqua and Ruby were at the hospital in their previous life - and it seems that kid is standing under the cliff edge where he was killed. No, we don’t know who that is, but seeing as they left us there, it just be important. Crazy random thought during this episode: Ruby and Aqua both reincarnated. Who’s to say nothing happened to Ai after her death? No, I haven’t read the manga, I just thought of that question. 👀Chew on that over the next week. This apparently begins the section of the story referred to as the “Private Arc,” based in on just released anime visuals.

Hi Hime :) Himekawa is 20, Aqua is 17, Himekawa's parents committed suicide when he was 5, when Himekawa was 5, Aqua was 2. Now, as a reminder, Ai was 20 when she died and was pregnant at 16, which makes Aqua 4 when she died. So logically Seijuro Uehara had been dead for 2 years when Ai died. The math is not mathing very well. We now have a bit of Ruby and the girls, which is good since we've had very few this season and Ruby will probably bring a bit more light than Aqua ^^'. Well and then seeing Kana down bad like that, will also be fun to see lol. Himura, the composer, has the same voice as Kakyoin. After Shigaraki, we now have Kakyoin ^^.

Hi Melissa, we're back with Oshi no ko after a week break that felt like an eternity because the plot twist from last episode left me really excited and eager to find out what happens next. I do know some things that will be revealed later, but the way to get there is still unknown to me. That's why I was shocked to see that Aqua's Revenge plot is actually almost over now. The question that remains unanswered is whether the person he was shown was really his father. I also found it very interesting that he really had thoughts about whether he was really allowed to be happy. And as you referenced in the video, we've already seen this in some other anime, such as Vinland saga. But of course, since Aqua hasn't gone through the same journey as Thorfinn, for example, I think it's easier for him to find an explanation and he doesn't have to go through a slave arc to answer this question. I also really enjoyed all the great animated scenes we got. The fact that the star disappeared from Aqua's eye was really philosophical and showed that he actually wants to let go of his revenge and lead a normal life. In the meantime, we're also focusing more on Ruby and her idol band, which in itself I'm very happy about because we haven't seen her for a long time, where I'm not such a big fan of her, but of Memo-chan and Kana for sure. What I really like about Ruby is the passion she has when it comes to her career. Her obsession with Ai and to name B-Komachi just for her Sensei notice is so wholesome and really nothing to be ashamed of. Miyako getting pushed by Ruby to pressure Himura was very fun and sweet. Himurua who got bigshot syndrome struggled to write songs. But Ruby can't be stopped as she need time as idol before Memcho turns 30. Himura lost motivation was rejuvenated by Ruby passion, was really a nice scene. I immediately heard that the character has Kakyoin's voice actor and I was instantly hyped for this character. As soon as someone has a Jojo voice actor, I usually like that character. I'm looking forward to the upcoming new arc and I'm excited to see what the new character we saw in the last scene is all about. Because I really have no idea who that is supposed to be.

Hi Spadeas! :) Thank you SO much for explaining this, this is exactly what I was wondering!!! Like the dad couldn't be dead at the time of Ai's death. I can't wait to see more of what they're up to now that we've got a focus on Ruby again!! OMG KAKYOIN!!! Can't wait for all the twists!!!

Hi Leonie!! OMG I know, that break took forever! Yeah I'm still not convinced this is really happening, and that that's his dad....but seeing him question if this meant he was finally free was interesting! So true that his path hasn't been exactly the same as Thorfinn's for sure! The star scene was so great and symbolic!! I know, it's nice to focus on the band again! I get a big kick out of Mem-cho so I'm happy to see her more haha! Ruby does have this passion that is really magnetic right! It's sweet that she's still trying to find her sensei!! I love that her passion motivated Himura, and OMG KAKYOIN!!!! I love that it's him!!! I can't wait for more, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't know that character at the end haha!

This is much easier for me, thank you!! Yeah I was so focused on the logistics it took me a second to process just what a horrible situation that really was!!! And yeah, I'm not convinced, the math is not adding up. Also poor Aqua, who is totally clueless about all these crushes on him haha. HAHAHAHA omg I know, I've been missing out on all the tax breaks apparently :P I love that she's still looking for the doctor and I like to think it's more of a little-girl-crush that's wholesome/platonic, because that would be way sweeter when they hopefully find out who each other is!! The comments about MEM's age were so uncalled for haha but I totally get Ruby's passion in getting this done quickly! OHHHH I didn't even get that, that it's the town they were from!!! Wow! OMG if that's reincarnated Ai that would be INSANE!!!! Can't wait to find out!!

Don't know if you caught the reference, but the place where they want to film the music video is the place where Aqua worked as a doctor in his past life and also the town where the twins were BORN to Ai. When Aqua was considering going with B Komachi he was remembering and they showed a brief image of the hospital where he worked/where Ai gave birth.
