Guys, we had so many great moments here - Endeavor finding his true motivation and literally setting things ablaze, Bakugo digging deep and using an amazing move, and wow....all those triumphant moments in exchange for that CRUSHING blow to the arm!!! And whatever the heck AFO did, I'm still not even sure! Dang guys, what do we do now?! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Hi Hime :) Don't watch the opening too much, because there are some spoilers in there anyway. Now, for the episode, Endeavor really said "tis but a flesh wound" and not only did this after the injury inflicted by AfO, but also by sacrificing his arm. Clearly, the heroes lose limbs one by one while Shigaraki grows them at will lol. The evolution of Endeavor is something interesting to study, because yes, everything that has led to now does not erase its mistakes, but it takes upon itself to assume and move forward with it to make a better future for the next generation, where the Endeavor that we meet at the very beginning only lived for one goal. Quite a similar development to Bakugo in a sense, so it's quite funny that they're both the stars of this episode (and losing an arm each, although Bakugo still has his at least). For Afo, it's a small spoiler but it will quickly be explained later, he actually used the power of Eri contained in a bullet, to return to a previous state. This is what he means by "throwing away his current body", he makes him return to a state prior to his confrontation with All Might (that's why one ear and one eye appear, because he doesn't hasn't had it for a while now). But of course, this is not without compensation, since the copies of his quirks will also disappear as his body rejuvenates (even if he will always have his own quirks). As for your idea of quirks rebelling, we'll say that you're on the right track.

I’m rather distracted today, since I got in a bit of a car accident, some goofball decided to back into me. So I’m having fun dealing with all that fallout. I’ll probably just touch on the main points I took out of here - first, Jiro’s ear is definitely badly damaged, in fact one of her headphone jacks that came out of the side of her head was completely severed during that attack. And the thing is, she didn’t really care about any of it - she was more ticked off because of her friends. Still, though, medical treatment ain’t gonna be fun…. I do actually think Endeavor is definitely trying to redeem himself - seems like he’s constantly at war with his old belief system, or whatever you want to call it - kinda like what happened to characters in Volume 9 of RWBY looking at their past selves, now that I think about it. But here’s the kicker: you can be mad or fuming at all of the things Endeavor did to get us here, and you’d be justified in doing so. But no matter how you feel, you won’t get any more disgusted with him than he actually is with himself. He despises what he did and what it’s led to, in a lot of phases. Now regarding the reference to Eri, it is somewhat confusing, but remember she can basically “rewind” a person’s physical features - and that kind of looked like what AFO was doing - so did he steal a copy of her Quirk too? (It’s similar to Josuke’s Stand, if I remember correctly.) Speaking of which, apparently copying Quirks isn’t working as well as AFO hoped… what’s that story? Bakugo is kind of the spokesmen for the rest of the “insects” - everyone deals with the same emotions Shigaraki has but - they don’t go on crazed killing sprees because of it - I mean, we know how volatile Bakugo gets, but he’s never gone that far. There’s a line. Although getting his arm and the attached weapon busted like that can’t be good… Deku’s almost where he needs to be, hopefully… but is that a good thing or are we playing right into AFO’s hands again? Also I am not surprised there’s new openings/endings as we started Summer Season cour, but I didn’t really understand why you were reacting to the opening like “it totally makes sense.” Oh well. I thought this would be shorter, but I guess it’s helping me take my mind off stuff… speaking of which, I’d like Eri to rewind my car condition if she’s not busy. 👀

I wanted to leave a comment on certain things before leaving other comments over time. The thing with the quirks rebelling against AFO is that it probably does have something to do with them being copies & him having less authority but the reason those vestiges wanted to rebel at all was because of Jiro’s words because the vestiges inside AFO seeing someone he sees as weak face off against him without giving up & showing extreme bravery & determination inspired the vestiges to fight back against him. Also isn’t it fitting that Jiro someone so musically inclined was able to inspire someone with her words/sound? The moment of the image of the bullet & Eri is basically implying that because the Doctor had access to the quirk destroying bullets because Shigaraki stole them from Overhaul he was able to learn everything about the bullets & we already know that the doctor was able to reverse engineer them and make more so this was him making a slightly different bullet. At 1st I thought he had given AFO a copy of Eri’s quirk rewind but someone pointed out to me that AFO would have used that power earlier if that was the case so it’s more likely to be a one time dose of rewind and if I’m right the Doctor was able to alter it to only rewind the body & not destroy quirks. Although since he says he is putting his life on the line it begs the question will this just rewind him to his prime or is it going to keep going until he is just gone. Also this is so bad because even if he will eventually die having to face a younger AFO with all his power & without the weakness of his health feels like it marks the end of any hero being able to fight against him except for Izuku but I hope the heroes prove me wrong. While I still don’t know if Horikoshi is willing to kill any students but this episode & the last shows more than ever that he is willing to inflict awful injury on any character. I hate to say it but while I believe students might die the only student I could really see dying is Bakugo. I will wait to leave a analysis on the opening because of ths spoilers although I will say a lot of what people are saying are spoilers are stuff we know is going to happen because of set up & thankfully the real boilers are so quick you won’t notice unless you pause.

Hi Spadeas! :) Oh cool, thanks for the heads up! Hahahaha that's totally what Endeavor did! Yeah the heroes are losing limbs while Shigaraki is sprouting them! Well said about Endeavor, nothing will undo what he's done, but he's also determined to make things better, particularly for future generations. OMG so true about how he and Bakugo are both center stage here, and both lost arms :P Ooohhhh ok, thanks for clarifying that! I had no idea what the bullet meant in the context of Eri and something that looked like her quirk being used! OHHHHH so that's what he meant! Shoot, that's really not good! True, if he reverts back to that state, that affects the quirks. Hmmmm I'm curious that I'm on the right track!!!!!

kamenriderhime

That's terrible, I hope you and everyone involved is ok! Yikes!! Good luck dealing with all that! Yeah, the medical treatments are gonna be crazy for this battle, but Jiro was totally in the zone and just pushed ahead despite her injuries. I can see that about Endeavor, he really is at war with himself in a lot of ways. I know, no one hates him more than he does! :/ Right, I know what Eri's quirk does (not unlike Crazy Diamond, good call), I was just confused on how he used it and what the bullet meant. I know, it seems all the exploitation AFO has done is starting to catch up with him. That's the thing, Bakugo's got a good point that they've all been through trauma, yet some of them have chosen totally different paths. I know, I think Izuku may be exactly where the villains want him unfortunately. I'm not exactly sure which part of my reaction you're referring to, but I think I meant that them changing the opening theme made sense, considering we split the season up slightly by taking a week break.

kamenriderhime

No kidding, that rebellion of the quirks was cause of Jiro?! That's amazing! That actually makes total sense, that someone like Jiro would use the power of sound (her words)!! Thanks for clarifying about the scene with Eri and the bullet! I was thinking the same thing, like I don't remember AFO having Eri's quirk! That's the thing, if he keeps rewinding, he might eventually die, but the damage he could do as AFO in his prime would be pretty devastating! Noooooo not Bakugo!!!! Gah, why does that make so much sense though! Oh ok, sounds good on skipping the opening analysis right now! I've been told not to focus on it too much!!!

I’m shocked we got a new OP and ED, we usually don’t get one till halfway. Love the opening, now it has me wondering if we actually do only have like one season left. Stuff like this is why I love Endeavor, freaking god that was AWESOME! Did he always know he could shoot fire from his eyes?! And the remix of the typical Todoroki theme was so good with the choir and electric guitar, made that moment even more badass on top of the crazy animation! And the teamwork with Tokoyami and Jiro was awesome! Bakugo’s upgrade is so awesome, basically took the idea from his gauntlets and scaled it down a bit. And we finally get to see him Howlitzer Impact in a real fight! Did Shigaraki somehow block it with just his physical strength? Also I love that they brought back these random business course students that haven’t been shown since the Sports Festival lol I’m so worried for next episode. I’m sure we’ll get Deku joining the fray but I’m worried now more than ever we might lose someone like Hawks or Endeavor or one of the people holding back Shigaraki.

kamenriderhime

Yeah, it was a surprise! I'm wondering now too! Endeavor was pretty amazing, and that music! Loved the teamwork too! I'm not even sure how Shigaraki dodged it, but wow was it great to see Bakugo in action! Lol that's so true, it was nice to see everyone back! My reaction to the next ep is out and all I can say is wow :(
