Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season 4, episode 8 of Demon Slayer! OMG!!!!! You guys, I could not have been more wrong about how this was gonna go!!!! DANG!!! The Master really said screw it, we're all going down together for this :O Kibutsuji was ambushed, good God!!! I love how all the plans came together in this one - Tamayo coming in with her demon antidote, Gyomei coming in for the head shot, etc. None of it worked, but it was still pretty sweet to see!! And now, we're on his turf :/ If anyone can think on their feet and readjust, it's our Hashira and kiddos! Tanjiro's ready, Inosuke's excited, and good lord, Zenitsu is in the ZONE!!!! I cannot wait for more!!! See you next season! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Hey Mei! Just to answer some of your questions, I’m posting this comment. Yes, new content is indeed confirmed for Demon Slayer. They’re going to cover the final two arcs in a trilogy of movies starting 2025. As far as we can tell, there’s no more seasons & that’s the finale of Demon Slayer. Shinobu’s backstory was spoken of a little bit near the end of season 1, but has otherwise not been brought up again. The lair of Muzan and his demons is called the Infinity Castle. And Mitsuri being the Tsuguko of Rengoku meant she was his personal disciple or student, like with Kanao and Shinobu. They’re basically meant to be a Hashira’s successor, unless they end up making their own breathing technique. That’s what happened to Mitsuri, who was training with Flame Breathing and then derived Love Breathing to fit her own strengths.

Hey Melissa, what a great ending to this season! I mean, I've known for a long time that Ufotable is responsible for great animation, but the animation in this episode is on the same level as the second season of Demon Slayer. Just totally awesome. Even though I didn't really like the season itself because a lot of it felt a bit like dragging out the story and knowing that the season only consisted of nine chapters in the manga, I'm not quite as happy that they put so much filler material in with it. I have to admit, the filler material wasn't so bad now and it was fun to watch, but I would have liked us to get to that final arc sooner. And that they would have animated this season as a movie. I thought it was nice that we found out more about the Stone hashira. I mean, he remained in the dark for a long time as far as his personality was concerned. I also really like him. It's not just because he has Joseph's voice actor, but also because he has a very cool personality. I was also totally confused at first as to what the Master's plan was to defeat Muzan. I definitely didn't expect him to blow himself and his family up. But it was a very cool move. Since I know roughly what's going to happen in the next arc, I'm already very hyped for it. I know that this arc will be released in three movies by Ufotable. Probably spread over the next 2 years. I'm definitely looking forward to these movies and I hope that they might also be shown in the cinemas. That would be a great way to experience them together with friends. Now I'm really excited to see which anime will follow Demon Slayer and I can't wait for the poll to come out soon!

What the heck, ufotable - we already knew you were on a different level but the animation this week was insane! I guess that’s why it takes them a bit of time to produce this show… 😅 One thing’s for sure no one’s gonna accuse them of not putting everything they have into it. So anyway, this feels like the classic heel turn - everything looks like it’s setting up to go one way, ie Muzan holding all the cards - and it turns out Ubayashiki was holding this ace up his sleeve all along. The way Muzan talks (his actor is pretty good at this), you can kind of just tell that he has absolutely no concept of human emotion or feeling. As he says, he hasn’t been given any retribution for his actions - so perhaps living so long has utterly destroyed any shred of humanity he has… Not so for everyone else… which could end up being the twist that flips the table on him. Everything leads back to him… if he goes out the entire demon race does. But of course, that ain’t going to be easy. We finally get some clarity on what happened to Ubayashiki - he’s literally being consumed by the family curse. He’s only live through his sheer desire to defeat Muzan - in fact there’s a lot of similarities between his mentality and Dabi’s in MHA (did I mention Dabi and Zenitsu have the same VA btw while I’m at it?) Apparently marrying priests’ daughters and running the DS Corps have helped prolong the lifespan, but only to a degree - and my guess is when he blew up the entire building he had the consent of both his wife and children to do so - my theory is, it wasn’t just for the greater good, but he also didn’t wish his kids to suffer the same ailments he did. It’s still quite twisted, and it’s one of the few times we see Muzan caught completely off guard. Tamayo has been working in the formula for quite some time since we saw her last, so it is possible her potion is perfected - and it could also be a bluff. Either way it doesn’t seem to be affecting Muzan right away - I guess time will tell whether or not it will have any lingering after effects. Remember, as powerful as the Hashira are - only Himejima, who can’t see, and Tanjiro don’t hesitate - he’s the only one who’s clashed with the guy previously, for many of them they’ve only heard the name - they’re all like, this is THE guy? They’ll have to get their act together fast however….because Muzan had a Joker in the deck. Somehow he got them all trapped in his lair and split up. I have no questions about Tanjiro’s resolve, but getting Muzan is not going to be easy… hope all that training paid off. Also, cutting off Muzan’s head did not work as it did with other demons - so sunlight’s the only option - which means - if Muzan finds Nezuko, then it really is all over for everyone. Huh, wonder where they hid her… because you just know she’s getting involved… Also, I noticed Tanroji and the Serpent Hashira are in the same spot as well as Giyu and Tanjiro - I wonder if there’s gonna be a lot more between him and the Water Hashira since he’s the first one we started with? That’s how storytelling likes to flip back around… I have good news, and somewhat bad news (for you). The good news is Demon Slayer’s next arc is confirmed - it’s called the Infinity Castle Arc. Can’t imagine why. :P The somewhat unfortunate news as far as your reactions go, is it’s going to be a three episode arc. Here’s the kicker: ufotable said all three episodes are going to be movies. Which is both awesome and means they’ve got the budget but it also means if you want to react, you will probably have to wait a decent while longer than the release date. Such is the life I guess. Could someone please stop plucking that unearthly lute already!? From the sounds of it, everyone’s gonna be here for a while… 👀

Fun Fact: Ancient Era Japanese people believe that if a man love his wife very much, their child will look like her. I don't know if you already know or not, but compare to manga, there are only 30% of the whole story left, and it's gonna be only stressful fight. No more heartwarming or funny arc. It's the finale. And that's the last 30% will be made into a trillogy movies. The exact date is not yet revealed, but it sure coming soon. Fans start to predict at which point tleach film will covered and where will each one end. I don't know if I will be able to watch them or not, but I hope you will. Edit: It seems a lot people now draw various meme out of this episode. Some are Muzan addressing himself he didn't blow out the mansion, and some are about various Demon Slayer doing their things before they get teleport into Muzan's realm. For example, one was in the restroom, or joining with their couple on bed... Also I saw one with Anya Forger (with Demon Slayer Mark) as a bodyguard of the Master. (How did she get here?!) One of the funniest gag is that Muzan spending some time picking his attire for his meeting with Ubuyashiki, only to get it blew up. And other was that Eren Yaeger Titan Form suddenly appeared when Muzan regenerating and assulting him like when he done with Warhammer Titan. Muzan regenerating does seems like Titan anyway.

Wow that was magnificent. I’ve been saying we haven’t gotten to know much of the master but maybe that was the purpose. So he could pull something these off the rails unexpectedly. He was a peaceful guy and he’s endured so much pain that it would make sense that there was more than meets the eye. NEVER would have guessed he had something cooking underneath that cool disposition! He was sly. We all had him pegged wrong. He played a long game for that specific moment. Geez, Imagine the conviction he and his family must have had in order to pull that off. He had a mischievous side to him underneath his calmness. Don’t get me wrong, you can tell he LOVED all his children. Regardless of the long game— you can’t fake that gentle nature and devotion used in getting to know all of the hashira and others. But he was SLY! That was so awesome! It’s finally nice getting to know more about him and his clan. Although he and his family are still a bit of a mystery. We’ve seen the two daughters by his side but I never knew what to make of them. It may just be the art style but they always reminded me of the two girls from the shining. But yeah his family were devoted to the cause as much as him. They gave our guys an opening. I just wish that guitar/banjo demon was not on Muzan’s side right now 😤 Still they went out together in great fashion. And regardless of Muzan’s splitting them up, our guys are still together in the same-ish area at least. They came together for the master because he spend time getting to know each of them like no one did. Woah I still can’t get over that surprise attack. 🔥 I’m excited for next season. This one was great. I’m even more glad we got this arc because we got to know so many others and now we’re heading straight to the boss battle. It’s gonna be flipping awesome 👏 And man that Taisho secret got me. Idk why they did that. They did not have to do that. But I’m glad they did. He is with us and will be during our battle! 🔥 🥺

Hey Jenny!! That's great news, thanks for sharing! It sounds like we won't have to wait too long then. It's crazy to think we'll have movies finishing off the story and not seasons! Oh I do remember that about Shinobu now. I thought maybe we'd get some new info. I've heard the phrase Infinity Castle, thanks for clarifying that! Right, I gathered that, that she was his student. It's cool that Mitsuri ended up devising her own technique though!!!

Hey Leonie! I agree!!! Ufotable was just killing it here! I totally hear you about this season, and I agree that they still pulled it off in an interesting way for stories that were more or less filler (or at least filled up a bit more than in the manga)! I could definitely see this being a movie too. I loved learning about the Stone Hashira! I get it lol, Joseph's VA definitely makes a difference but is totally not the only reason to love this character a lot! The Master's plan was really intense, I never saw it coming. I heard that about the three movies, it's wild to think we'll wrap up the series in movies and not seasons, but I'm just so happy we don't have to wait too long and I'm sure they'll be great! It would be so cool to go see them in the theater! I'll probably wait until they're released on streaming so that I can react to them, but I think anyone who can get to a theater to see it totally should!!! I'm excited to see what you guys choose next for me to watch!!! ^_^

Ooohhh is that why the Master's kids had the same hair as the mom? Oh my gosh, I'm scared but excited for what's coming! I'm sure the movies will be fantastic! HAHAHAHA I'd love to see those memes!!! OMG Anya, what are you doing here? Lol!!! Oooohh that'd be a shame to get blown up in such a good fit. :P LOL the Eren one!!! I mean, Kibutsuji does have the Titan-like regeneration ability, so it fits haha.

Yeah maybe it was all leading up to this moment right! Omg for real, apparently learning to tolerate all that pain and anguish gave him a real poker face, because I never would've guessed he had something like this in his plans either! I had him all wrong too! I know, he was full of love but he also really did have some tricks up his sleeve and knew how to play the long game. But yeah, the devotion and love was so real, that's what really made it all work so well. It was cool learning a bit more about background too! I kinda always thought maybe the two girls were actually spirits or something lol but no, they were actual kids. I got Shining vibes too! Oof, that banjo demon needs to go!!! I know, what a way to go out. And the way our whole crew assembled, with the surprise attack, was spectacular! The final battle is gonna be amazing for sure! OMG right?! What even was that Taisho secret, they hit us right in the feels! He's with us for sure :'D

The production on this was so amazing!! This was a pretty great twist for sure. Oh I don't think I knew that about Dabi and Zenitsu! But yeah, the whole being kept alive by spite thing does remind me of Dabi! Yeah I think his family consented to it as well, not to mention the sickness his kids would inherit, that's actually a good point. The potion didn't seem to affect him but maybe it will have long term effects like you said! Yeah this is the first time for our crew seeing him in person, so I get why they'd be taken aback! OMG you know Nezuko's getting involved in this! But yeah, since sunlight's the only option we probably have, this could be really bad. Oh good point about the placement of the Hashira, I wouldn't be surprised if it was related to the storytelling! Yeah, I heard about the movies, which is awesome, but I'll have to wait for a streaming release! It's worth it though! OMG every time they pluck that thing it takes a year off my life lol!!!

So if I'm guessing correctly, Muzan's plan was basically: 1. Locate Demon Slayers (in episode 6 of this season, the demon in the castle, said she's located 60 percent of the Demon Slayers 2. Go to the Ubuyashiki House 3. Kill Ubuyashiki 4.Transport the Demon Slayers to the Infinity Castle 5.Show he's killed the Master to break the Corps spirit 6. He, the upper moons and the other demons we see in the castle slaughter them in order to either destroy them completely or weaken them substantially so he can get Nezuko without any interference
