Hey everyone! WOW!!! We had so much going on in this one! Some unreal suspense and tension, a sad Jobro loss, another really cool side villain Stand, and more! Jesus even showed up, wow! I was glad to see Lucy have someone to turn to but was a little surprised at her initial reception by our crew lol. She's got some stuff ahead of her, I think :/ Plus we see a whole new route for Diego which kinda makes me sad, even though it was super well done! And oh yeah....that ain't no Josuke :P LOL!!! Great batch! I can't wait for more! Enjoy! ~ MH

Hey Melissa! I was really looking forward to today's review because I knew you were going to freak out about some things. First of all, I want to mention again that I really like the way you're doing the reviews now. For example, you give your opinion after each chapter and what you think of it. And also in general how you structure the chapters, so that you leave the screenshots on the screen for longer, so that everyone can read along and you also try to put as many screenshots as possible in the video, which makes it easier to follow the story events. Of course I know what's happening, but even I sometimes had trouble following you at the beginning. It has definitely improved. I just knew 100% that you were going to freak out over the Gyro cover of chapter 36, because I was the same way. I stared at that picture for at least 5 minutes and really couldn't believe what I was seeing. I mean, it's totally out of context for Gyro that he would do something like that, but it kind of fits him. As I've mentioned before, the Lucy chapters are simply some of the best in SBR as they are so exciting. I remember the first time I read that my heart almost stopped where Valentine almost discovered her. But she's such a brave girl who really does everything she can to help her husband and save herself too. I can understand you being a bit weirded out by the fact that she's 14 and married a 50+ year old man. But if you think about the time it's set in, it's relatively realistic. If you think about it another way, Jonathan and Erina would have been married at 14 if they had been dating at the time. I think Blackmore as a side-villain is actually almost as cool as Ringo. He has a very cool design and his stand is also pretty cool. He's even more popular than I thought, because there's already some Fanfiction about him, even though he only has such a short screentime. But people seem to love him. I thought it was a shame that Mountain Tim died so early on in the story, because I really wanted to see more of him. Because he really is Hole Horse, only nicer and perhaps a little prettier. Maybe it's also because Araki's art style has changed. I looked it up again and Mountain Tim is 31 years old, which is considerably older than Lucy. I also don't think Araki wanted to make it look like Tim is romantically interested in Lucy. It's supposed to look like he's like a big brother figure to her. But it makes sense that he's interested in her, because it was just such a different time to what people think is normal now. I was also totally shocked that we actually saw Jesus in this chapter. I thought we were just seeing his body parts, but seeing him as a real person was really a big surprise. And it's not the last time you'll see him. He's going to play a slightly bigger role than you know yet. I've mentioned before that Gyro isn't always the hero in shining armor. Because I was also very disappointed how vicious he was with Lucy and generally what an asshole he is to Johnny sometimes. Sure, he always apologizes afterwards, but I think to myself, why can't he just be a bit nicer to him, because Johnny is really doing his best to help him. I also had the feeling that Araki wanted to build a bit of Jotaro's character traits into Gyro. But in the next chapters, you'll see that Gyro doesn't interact with women quite as mean as you'd think. I was also very shocked when I saw this in the next chapter, but it was quite funny to read. My love for Johnny has definitely increased too. I think he's so cute, for example when it was raining and he put his hood on, he looked so mega cute. It took me a bit less time than with Jotaro to really like him, because he always seems a bit awkward and doesn't really know what to do with himself, but because of Gyro he becomes a bit more self-confident. And I thought it was super lovely how he defended Lucy and also wrapped his arm around her to hold her so she wouldn't fall off the horse. He's actually like Jonathan from the original universe, only it takes him a little longer to get to the point and be like that. He's not one hundred percent a gentleman, but he's on the right path to becoming one. And as I said, in the next chapters you'll find out more about him and what exactly his past is all about. I'm 100% sure that you'll love him afterwards. I had warned you that Diego would unfortunately not become a Jobro and of course, how could it be otherwise, he would turn against the Joestars. Sure, he's not the Main Villain , but he helps Valentine achieve his goal. That's enough to see him as an antagonist. But maybe there will be some events that will make him change his mind. And in the end, to answer your question, no, the shadow character is not Norisuke, it's someone else. But it made me very sad when I found out who it really was and I couldn't believe it.

Sigh I took 5 minutes just to stare at that beginning illustration of Gyro. Araki definitely knows what he’s doing. Dang Mountain Tim is going just like that. Araki is pulling no punches in this one. If you’re out, you’re out. At least he went out like a boss. :( IDK how far this goes as I’m just going off cowboy rules. This may not apply— obviously people didn’t live that long. Life moved fast— Like one day you’re playing outside during recess, next someone shows interest and at a certain age the subject of marriage comes into the conversation, and suddenly after a bit of dating, the question is asked yada yada. I read somewhere marriage kind of matured the person. Americans believed that marriage could transform a child into a wife who was legally & socially an adult. Again people matured faster & differently. Although I’m sure the husband would typically be same around the same age as the wife but I’m sure there were cases of wider age gaps which is still weird to think about regardless. But it’s there. And you can definitely see Lucy handled the scary confusing situations in this batch extremely maturely as best she could. I’m trying to at least make sense of it. Like you said, Araki definitely made her someone capable to root for while lingering on more susceptibility since she has no stand to bring on more suspense. It feels so wrong to see Jesus in Jojo lol. But you know if our Jonathan isn’t going to be present then it makes sense. He’s the only one capable of matching Jonathan’s goodness level. Okay the spine is very important. I’m not trying to downplay it however if it’s capable of all that then I am curious to see what the heart can do. ❤️ I am holding out for Diego. The backstory had me thinking he was secured as a future JoBro. I’m still holding out for something. Then again trying to obtain Manhattan isn’t painting a better picture but we’ll see. They really had me thinking this version was different. You can still see how he got to this point of going to the president which is interesting. But he has his own thing going on and hasn’t done anything coherently bad up till now so I do hope we get more out of him. I’m expecting more of his motives behind wanting to obtain such power.

Hey Leonie! I'm so happy to hear you like how I'm structuring the reviews!!!! That's great feedback for me and also really nice motivation/encouragement! ^_^ Hahahaha that cover was really something wasn't it!!! I was shocked at first but I can kinda see Gyro doing something like that in one of his more playful moods :P The Lucy chapters were SO intense and amazing!!!! I was so scared for her! She absolutely is so brave, I couldn't be that brave at twice her age, say nothing about at such a young age. Speaking of which, you're very right about the age/timing/historical accuracy! So true that Jonathan and Erina may have been married in their teens too, had Dio not gotten between them. I'll definitely try to keep that in mind for the sake of the story! I'm so sad about Mountain Tim!!! I was hoping he'd stick around longer too. Oh wow, I didn't realize he was 31! Yeah I could totally see it being more of a big-brother thing, if it hadn't been for him talking about her belonging to another man and all....but yeah, such was the times I guess! Blackmore is really cool, I can see why you like him! That's so interesting that there's lots of fanfiction of him!!! I wouldn't have guessed, but I can kinda see it. I was so happy to see Jesus lol!!! I'm curious about how we'll be seeing him more. I was pretty surprised at Gyro, but I also get where Araki is trying to make layered characters who don't always necessarily act nicely or something, and also I think he missed Jotaro lol! I'm so curious to see what we'll see of Gyro and women in the next chapters lol!!! Johnny's pretty sweet and cute! He's definitely kinda boyish and silly/awkward at times now that I'm getting to know him! He was so sweet to Lucy and that really meant a lot to me! Aww that's true, I can see how he has a lot of other universe Jonathan in him too, it's just his life has been so different (now that I've read a few more chapters, I know this!!!)! I'm so sad about Diego! I hope there's still hope for him! OMG I know who it was at the end now and I almost wish it had been Norisuke instead :O :O :O Haha

kamenriderhime

Hahhaha right? Araki is totally doing this on purpose! I know, I'm gonna miss Mountain Tim, I could've sworn he'd be around longer! He did go out like a boss :( That's a really great point, life expectancy was shorter and people did marry a lot younger. It's not that it's something we would normalize today, but it was normalized back then, so it's important to keep that in mind I guess! That's a great point about the maturity levels too - it makes sense that being put in a situation meant for an adult would mature someone faster, and you really can see how mature Lucy is here!!! She's brave, but still young and really vulnerable, kinda like Hayato, which I agree that Araki did intentionally so that we'd really feel for her! LOL I know, as happy as I was to see Jesus, it's a little odd to think that he's a Jojo reference now :P And so true, someone has to be the ultimate gentleman around here now that Jonathan from the OG universe isn't around! OMG the heart must be really powerful...!! I know, I'm sad about Diego but I think there's still hope! I think in a way he is different, but this time we can really see how the circumstances led to some less than stellar choices. I can't wait to see where his story is going!!!
