Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to episode 41 of Kamen Rider Gotchard!   OMG!!!!! You guys, how lucky are we that we got a full song and dance routine with Nijigon?! I LIVE for this stuff! The episode was mostly pretty sweet, with all the Gon stuff and with our crew just annihilating Germain. But wow, that alliance with Atropos really went awry :/ Geryon is back!!! And he's ready to turn us all to gold!!! Dang guys, I honestly can't see where this is going. Just a handful of eps left!! Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Ngl, I never expect Geryon to return just yet. I just said that we likely to see him again, not now. LOL They say the unloading duo are the veteran actor who have performed in one of the old days hero series, probrably by Toei. And the cards after the opening are a reference to them. Also, the idol trio are portrayed by Kamen Rider Girls, and their name are based on Hina, Koyomi, and Mai from OOO, Wizard, and Gaim! They even did a post identical to their name origin's main rider. After the trio regroup and dance together, before Minato arrive, in case you want to go and see it again. By the way, I already heard before that there gonna be a song calling out the 101 Chemies name, but who know they put it in the story! I mean... the song was sing by the idols by the time that Nijigon arrive, how come you know them?! And now, I think this is the first time since the very first episode that all 12 cards fully onscreen in the ending before the preview are all flipped up! Legendary Legend debut episode got himself and 10 more Heisei Riders, so it's 11. Now it's 12! And 12 is the number I consider the lucky number!

My two emoji for this episode were: 🎶💛 🎶: For the musical/idol aspect 💛: For Geyrion's "heart" and his return A return that I didn't see coming either, I'll admit. But if it brings at least some interesting things, it's because it can better link the story with Fuga and the past of the association, maybe even the abyssal kings knowing that they said that Geyrion was their “doll”. Now, regarding the cameos, our three idols, Mai, Hina and Koyomi are played by, Tomomi Jiena Sumi, Hitomi Isaka and Chisato Akita, the three current members of the idol group Kamen Rider Girls. You may have already heard of them. As for the two delivery men, they are Masaru Yamashita and Koichi Nakayama, known in the world of Toku and Toei but not necessarily Kamen Rider, since they each played the main character of Winspector and Solbrain. Winspector and its sequel Solbrain are part of Toei's third license alongside Super Sentai and Kamen Rider, Metal Heroes. Even if it's been a long time since there was a new series and Toei tried to relaunch it all with a film about Gavan, one of the first and main heroes of this license. The trick of removing your sweaty helmet and giving your thumbs up is a trademark of these two heroes, so the nod is widely supported here ^^. But if I know that, it's because in France we were lucky enough to have super sentai and metal heroes before Saban created the power rangers, including Winspector (even if I was very little and don't remember of the series, except the armor design). Also, we know that Saban had success with Power Rangers and tried Kamen Rider with "Masked Rider" (even if we would like to forget it), but he also tried Metal Heroes, with VR Trooper (an abomination which mixed sequences from two different series so the heroes almost didn't fight together), but especially the best known, Beetleborgs. If you ever take a look at the Winspector, Solbrain and Exceedraft trilogy, you will see that the armor designs are classy and not so far from Beetleborgs or B-Fighter in the Japanese version.

We’re still a little bit off from the finals, since there’s nine episodes to go I believe - if you’re ever losing track of Kamen Rider the rule seems to be wrap up last week of August / start first week of September (ie Labor Day) - with minor fluctuations. Which reminds me, we’ve never been able to the Geats x Gotchard movie yet… scheduling, am I right? Regarding today’s episode it seems Spanner’s flames became more pronounced and acted on their own around Gigist which surprised him - also Gigist claiming “I can show you how to utilize this power…” You know, I feel like this whole shpiel has been done somewhere else… hey Anakin, that you? Me: looks at the opening credits… “why are there FIVE different songs listed this week?” I guess it made sense in hindsight. Spanner’s always been cold. He doesn’t really think about how his words might affect other people or Chemies but it’s what got Nijigon on a journey of self discovery? I’m glad you made the Oshi No Ko reference cause I was getting the same vibe… the only thing that woulda thrown me more is if they used THAT song. Also poor Kajiki keeps running into these Chemies and getting his mind wiped… give the guy a break already! Oh speaking of that - should we really be adhering to alchemy association rules and wiping everyone’s mind? I mean literally Nijigon was just helping out. This feels like it needs addressing. I kept feeling during the episode that something was off about Rinne and Atropos’ deal and I was right. She’s pretty much a street punk who used Rinne for her own ends. Did you see the way she smirked at her when she walked off with Geryon? At this point I don’t think there’s any redemption for her the way she’s burning bridges. As for who the bigger threat is for the last few episodes, the kings or Geryon… who knows? And also you said nobody does a heel turn this late in the game… we’re in the early 40s, did you forget about Keiwa last year so quickly? 👀 On a quick unrelated side note: Oshi No Ko is due July 3, so it looks like Wednesday is going to be its official release day, if you’re trying to figure out your schedule arrangements for it, since it was brought up. :)

Dang it. I really thought we’d get Atropos in our group. Hmm. Well anyway if it pleases him why not deliver on the gold idea. I wouldn’t mind. It’s a nice color, beautiful texture & it’d get him off our backs for a while. 🏆🥇🏅⚜️🔑

Yeah me neither! Ohhh I knew that duo had to have some significance, thanks! OMG that is amazing that those were the Kamen Rider Girls!!!! I almost said, this would have been a good opportunity to bring them in, but I didn't get to say it :P LOL it does defy logic a bit that they knew all the Chemies for no reason, but it was fun haha! Oooh very interesting about the number 12 significance!!

OMG those emojis were spot on! I wasn't expecting it either but here we are! It does make sense though, and those are some good ideas on how they could connect it all. I LOVE that those were the Kamen Rider Girls! Yes I've heard a lot of their songs!! Thanks for clearing that up about the two men we saw too! That's so cool that they have such a fun history, and that they nodded to it here! That's so cool that France got Super Sentai and Metal Heroes before Power Rangers was even a thing! I remember VR Trooper lol! And also Beetleborgs! That's so interesting about the similarities!

Right, I know it's usually starting around late August/early Sept. No, I've never been able to find a spot for the movie in my schedule, but of course I'll try to keep everyone posted on that if I have any time for it. LOL we are totally teasing the Anakin route! I mean, at first I was miffed at Spanner for how much his words affected Nijigon, but I guess it worked out in the end. If they'd used the Oshi no Ko song, that would've been wild haha! You know Kaijiki really is just attracted to all the madness at this point! Yeah, I don't feel like this was a huge reason for anyone's minds to get wiped, also if Chemies are gonna live alongside humans one day, that rule will have to be addressed for sure. OMG I know Keiwa had a very quick villain arc but wow, that would be super fast! Thanks for the info about Oshi no Ko, I'll look into it!
