Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season 4, episode 5 of Demon Slayer! OMG!! We did so much training in this one! Mitsuri's pancakes almost made me pass out, Snake guy's jealousy was hilarious, and Wind guy....wow! I was not expecting things to go that way lol. I really do wish these brothers could work things out, but as we saw last season, their backstory is complicated. Next, we're on to another Hashira I've been waiting for, tee hee hee!!! Great ep! I’ll admit, it kind of threw me off when we only spent a few minutes with Mitsuri, but given the flexibility training - uhh you don’t want to watch a guy go through that…. Also I think the biggest reason Tanjiro got confused was he’s never had pancakes or black tea before. Iguro (the Serpent Hashira), did indeed gift Mitsuru with her tights. So based on the way he reacted to the fact she was having a good time with another guy… there’s definitely some jealousy issues at play. Poor Tanjiro, he was working so hard too - but I guess it goes to show you can’t please everyone. He probably literally has no idea that Iguro feels that way but too late buddy, you’re marked. Life just isn’t fair sometimes. Shinemi (the Wind Hashira) seems to have an extremely violent distaste and reaction to anything even related to demons. We know some of the cause of this from Genya’s backstory but this guy’s hatred is on a whole different level. Yes the Nezuko incident happened - but it’s also important to at least understand the triggers at work that caused it. Tanjiro got banned because he meddled a little too much, even though he thought he was doing the right thing. I don’t know exactly what the dynamic is between Shinemi and Genya, but it’s not too familial for sure. The protagonist has a way of sticking his nose in and this time it resulted in being banned from the Wind Hashira - so does this mean he failed his training? Zenitsu’s getting dragged along too. You just had to go and make it about JoJo again, didn’t you… 👀 But it seems the Stone Hashira (Gyomei Himejima) trying to train people to sit in the middle of fire and not get burned… Inosuke was under the waterfall… how’s that working out? I get the feeling the last three were a walk in the park compared to this. The only other Hashira we haven’t dealt with I can think of is Shinobu, which would make sense to leave for late. I’m getting conflicting reports on the # of episodes, I’ll let you know when MAL confirms the number. It’ll be interesting to see what happens next. Just don’t tell Iguro if Tanjiro needs to talk to Mitsuri for something. 👀

Obviously not the training I was expecting. The title and the way the previous episode ended had me think Mitsuri had some hidden honey eating technique. The animation went especially hardcore on those pancakes because they looked scrum-dilly-uptious. This boy has never had pancakes before this?! I underestimate mountain life. Man that must have been good for him. I remember my first pancake 🥞 🍴 😋 I guess she did have her time with Tanjiro so it’s understandable she didn’t get a full episode alone. Plus she did share a hot springs with him and Nezuko in the last arc so that’s something but still we are moving through these hashira rápido. I didn’t expect the snake hashira to come off as silly as he did here given the last couple episodes. They’re really building off whatever is between him and Mitzi. Man, Tanjiro battles for his sister with this guy and now crazy eye’s own brother. Top notch character right there 👌 He’s always sticking his neck out for others. He even volunteered Zenitsu’s neck to help out in this one very subtly I may add lol. I can’t believe he got suspended. Can’t win them over in one go. 🤷‍♂️ That’s young Joseph?! I cannot hear it! And his voice is so distinctive. Wow now I’m looking more forward to it. The stone hashira seems very respectable.

Yeah me too! HAHAHAH I was kinda thinking that erm, this must be especially difficult for a male :P I think it's safe to say Iguro is jealous! Thanks for confirming the tights! Tanjiro's totally clueless about it too, just like you said, but yeah, you can't please everyone! Very true, I do understand the reasoning behind the Nezuko incident now, especially in light of Shinemi's and Genya's backstory, but wow, it is really quite the reaction! There's just no reasoning with him when he's triggered like that. Zenitsu totally got dragged along lol. I really don't see a lot of familial love between these two brothers either, at least from Shinemi's side, but maybe he's just trying to protect him by said he should love the Corps? I don't know! Yeah I think that would mean that Tanjiro didn't pass the training. LOL it's *always* about Jojo :))))))))) I have a feeling this next training will be quite intense for sure! Shinobu's the only one I can think of too! Thanks for letting me know about the eps. Hahaha I don't think anyone should tell Iguro anything about anyone trying to get close to Mitsuri for any reason :P

Yeah same!! Still a good ep, but I would've taken a whole ep of just Mitsuri! OMG right?! Like those pancakes should be illegal they looked so good! For real, Tanjiro's never had a pancake?! Like on the one hand, I'm sad, on the other hand, I know what he's in for and I'm just happy for him :) Awwww you remember your first pancake?! That's awesome!!!! Yeah I think you're right that the reason we moved through some of the Hashira faster was because we'd seen them or gotten to know them a bit better before! Although Tokito and Tengen still got more time, but oh well lol. Hahahaha yeah the Snake Hashira being a total simp was a fun twist lol! LOL couldn't agree more about how top notch Tanjiro is for fighting this guy twice for sibling related reasons! Hahahahah he totally dragged Zenitsu into it didn't he! For real, I did not see him getting banned!! Omg I know right?!!? I couldn't believe it either at first about Joseph's VA!! He's definitely doing a deeper voice here, but if you really listen, you can hear it a little!!! It took me a second haha!! Yeah he seems like he's gonna be really decent!

I came here expecting a hint that Iguro has a crush on Mitsuri. But that's no hint! It's like the proctor telling you the answer of the exam! I can relate to Tanjiro's conflict with the Wind Hashira because it reminds me of my own school experiences. In both elementary and junior high, I was bullied, but whenever I fought back, I was the one in the blame. One time, I was insulted mentally by a girl in elementary school, and another time, a guy in a junior high basketball class escalated things. The junior high teacher who hate me is handling the case, he put me in a serious problem, and he even tell that guy that if he's not fighting back, he would be a real hero. There's a guy who I don't like much, but I pity him as he got into trouble that he don't deserves even through he not getting along with me. An organizational issues like this is what I don't like at all, especially when I'm in the wrong even through it's not all because of me. Come to think of it, in Elementary school, I lost my temper against that girl and the other after a year and a half, or so it seems. In Junior high, I lost temper for everything in 2 years and like 3/4 more. And I never lost temper to the point that it become a huge problem anymore in my high school. Maybe that could be an improvement, or I just doesn't face as much issues as back then.

Lol yeah that's true, that wasn't much of a hint! I'm really sorry to hear you went through that! That sounds rough :( I hear you that you can relate to this situation but sorry it's for such a hurtful reason to you personally!!!
